Blue Amnesia Auto Flower by The Ministry of Cannabis. Got this as a 4/20/19 freebie from Seedsman. Never grown an Auto indoors and this will be my first grow using my new HLG LED lights. My humidity is pretty low, typically averaging around 33%. I am thinking this will shoot back up once I get the Seedsman Auto Zkittlez seedlings in some soil in the next few days. For the mean time I put my small bedroom humidifier in the tent which raises the humidity about 10%.
What a whacky neurotic week.
Had a laundry list of stuff making me extremely anxious both outside of this grow project and inside. The week started off with overwatering & over humidity correction by using a humidifier which resulted in fungus gnats. My humidity was around 20% and when I introduced the humidifier it would increase ~10-13%. Shortly there after I noticed some tiny bugs flying around the tent. Quick to react, I sat there, freshly baked, squishing all the bugs I could see. After about 45 minutes I had racked up a small causality count of around 10 little bastards. I still noticed 1 or 2 flying around after my stoned massacre. I spent the next morning reading up on fungus gnats in the Indoor/Outdoor Medial Grower's Bible and it seemed like an easy enough pest to correct. I introduced a new fan into the tent and turned up both my intake and exhaust fans in hopes to dry out the soil a little more. It has only been a couple days but I have seen a drastic decrease in movement within the tent. If the problem flares back up I have purchased some Neem oil just in case. I'll probably wait at least another day before I water the plants again.
In addition to the fungus gnat problem, I couldn't make a decision if I should top my plant, I couldn't pin down if I was way to early or to late so in a frustrated move I topped my plant and it looks like it was the right move.
The Ministry of Cannabis Blue Amnesia Auto is proving to be one tough plant. Other notable activity this week is that I am waiting the arrival of a larger intake fan as my current one seems to have lost a drastic amount of power over the years.
The humidity issue seems to be fading away as i've transplanted two Seedsman Auto Zkittlez seedlings into 3gal pots with a mix of Fox Farms Ocean Forest and Coco Loco.
These fungus gnats are a pain in the ass and I might have to do a drench. I purchased some neem oil and that seemed to do some good but still seeing some bugs flying around. My 6" inline fan came in and I hooked it up in addition to the 4" fan that goes into a filter. The 6" fan does not go into the filter for now until the filter arrives. Tent isn't as "sucked in" as I was noticing in the past. Trying to find that sweet spot for the in and out fan speeds. I tried some LST for the first time. I accidentally ripped off a bottom limb like a dummy but mistakes will be made when learning I guess.
She also started flowering. Looks a little small but whatever, let's see whats going down. Also for reference I have been watering with a full array of Fox Farms products and i'm too "lazy" to break them down at this time.
Started to have some deficiencies due to PH balance but I seem to have caught it at the right time, flushed a couple times and we seem to be back on track.
Gave her a little trim to get rid of some of the fried leaves from the PH imbalance. I think I topped this plant way to early causing it to be super short and bushy, but it's also an auto so whatever I am happy to see buds forming regardless!
