Day 24 & she hits the scrog net.
Day 26 - 2 days growth! It's easy to keep check of because of the scrog net! I'm liking this scrog growing!
Missed day 30 update.. sorry.
Day 36 - She's still growing. At a faster rate than the Stardawg is but slowing down compared to previous weeks. Flowers just starting to develop.
I got a new toy, time lapse camera. Will be interesting what it shows from now on! 1 second in the video is an hour real time. Enjoy!
Day 39 - Timelapse added.
Day 40 - 4x CXB3590's added. Pics should be lit nicely from now on.
Day - 52 Considering she is a week younger than the Stardawg, she has caught up and passed it in development. She is really marching on towards the finish!
Day 66 - Just waiting to see the first amber trichome before I chop. I've pinched a 'few' buds off already 😅 and it's impressive so far!
I'm thinking of basically doing a staggered harvest. Meaning as soon as I see an amber trichome I will cut that flower off. Anybody got any thoughts on that?
Day 71 - Harvest started. I cut off a few buds that were ready and left the rest. I don't usually do wet bud weight but if you're interested the scales show what's up. My dry weight will be an estimate because I can't keep my hands off this stuff 😅😂
Stonking stuff from FastBuds!
Well FastBuds......... You have done it again with Mexican Airlines! This was a pleasure from start to finish. Doing a bit of research into the genetics of this strain, it is made up of a Ruderalis (for its autoflowering trait) and two 100% Sativas. Mexico and Colombia are real OG Landrace strains! Well done FB for not being afraid of going back to basics.
As usual from FastBuds the strain seems very resilient, she grew fast and well! Look how sticky with trichomes she is!
The high is amazing. Very Sativa. Very clear headed. Very happy. Very euphoric. In no way makes you paranoid. It's just a good trip!
I will be growing this over and over 'till you guys (FastBuds) come up with something better!!!!!!!
😅😂😂😅Staggered harvest going on.
Dry weights:
25.03g (estimate i took ~20g from this 😅)
25.17g
14.75g
13.43g
45.61g
124.26g on the scales. I will dismiss the fact I pinched ~20g before weighing the first 'batch' 😋
@SadBoyDabs710, I am using a 1.5m x 1.5m tent (2.25sq M). For lights I run 4x cheapy LED lights on 24h. I also use a 1000w digital ballast HPS for want of a better term, as a heater. I have an STC1000 temperature controller with a probe in the tent which switches this HPS light on/off depending on temperature.
I.E. if it's colder than the target temp the HPS light will switch ON. In summer I duct the hot air (from bulb) straight out the tent. This allows the light to be on much longer. In winter I duct that warm air back in the tent.
It's took me a while to get this environment sorted the way I have. I'm happy with it being quite efficient. Of course if watts were no object I would run HPS 24/7 too and have air conditioning to look after the temps, but I'm not a multi millionaire 😁 I will upload a pic showing my light setup. Also these seeds I have started in my incubator. It is some kind of garden planter that I've outfitted with 6x LED strip lights with 21x 5050 LEDs each strip. I'm kind of concentrating on efficiency of the whole ensemble. Who doesen't want more for less ?? 😁
@Dunk_Junk, Defiantly going to follow this grow, i like coco 😁 doing coco grow myself atm. Btw what lights are you running and how big is your grow area?
Seat backs and tray tables in their upright and locked positions, ready for take off!
Mexican Airlines is the next seed I'll be planting (next week). Going to follow yours! 👍
@Dunk_Junk, my first scrog attempt I used a string trellis and I found that my plants would push it up 200mm instead of it staying flat. String works great for separation but not so well for a true horizontal scrog grow.
@Tazard, good info 😉👍 thanks!!
This is my first scrog grow and I have no idea what I'm doing 😂. You guys are along for the ride to see me succeed or fail 😁😅
@Dunk_Junk, 😎 when I scrog instead of super cropping I scrog about 200mm high (see monster clone diaries) I think they were 300mm at harvest but the 2 plants filled most of the 600x900mm scrog. My openings are 75-100mm (bamboo scrog).
Six Shooters are taking 35 to 37 days from seed to start flowering.
Once flowering starts 10 weeks till they are done. I have bulky buds at week 5 but not much amber trichomes till week 10 .. @Dunk_Junk,
@Guerilla_Jack, As soon as I see one amber trichome I will chop the buds that are mature. I will leave the smaller underdeveloped buds on the plant for a few days until they are mature.
I'm kinda flying by the seat of my pants on this one as I've never done a staggered harvest before.
@Fast_Buds - What are your thoughts on this?
@Tazard, Thanks man! I'm kinda loving this staggered harvest... I really dislike trimming so to break it up over a few nights is very helpful. I will probably do this from now on to all my girls.
@Tazard, Thanks man! I need to dial in the lighting and focus before I'm 100% happy but it's facinating to see the plants moving around to get to the light! Look out for more vids 😉👍👌
