This was a freebie seed from their black Friday sale. I am flowering 2 og kush plants with my leds. As of right now i only a 28w 2' t5 light left to grow with. Transplanted directly into Azos in fox farms coco loko.
The pictures are day 4 above the ground
Mixed up 1 ml each of medusas magic, Gaia mania, and Zeus juice into a 1 quart spray bottle adjusted to 6.3 ph. When this gets another set or 2 of true leaves I'll take away the fluorescent and install my new hlg-65 led panel. I'm excited to see what the "special phenotype" really means. Photos are day 13 since it popped out of the soil. Also fed some tribus microbes I got as a freebie :).
Switched from the t5 to a HLG-65 hung 20 inches above the pot. The light is 4000k and fills my grow space nicely. As a foliar I'm spraying a photosynthesis plus x xtreme gardening calcarb mix. Doing just a little bit of lst to get more light to the lower growth. I'm going to put up some white reflective film in the cabinet and I'm germinating a sour stomper seed right now to add to the grow as well.
Been feeding the nectar for the gods sample pack. Plus impello biologics inoculant. Experimenting with lst. Hasn't been topped or defoliated at all. Just tying down and tucking leaves. I cut my pot as well to allow more lower air circulation. There are 9 visible "tops" at the top of the canopy. And a couple more that are underneath. Day 32 and everything is looking good to me.
Nothing has really changed from last week aside from the extra lst I've been doing keeping the branches low. Being grown under a single hlg-65 quantum board beside 2 sour stomper plants.
No real updates on this girl. I hope she gains some height so she can spread put a little bit. Anyone have experience defoliating this far into flower?
I really should not have tied this thing down as much as I did. This particular plant didn't stretch at all transitioning to flower. So it's been short and small and it's gonna stay that way. Just letting it ride until it's chop time. Also I set up my lights all together and I'll be using just 2 until the other 2 plants get bigger. I'll probably start another bluetoof here soon. Or something else :)
This plant has been on cruise control. Mostly because I kinda gave up on her. I did some extensive lst in her early days and didn't stretch at all transitioning into flower. Beautiful colors, and then some brown and yellowing because she has/had some kind of deficiency. But it happened so late that I didn't do anything to combat it. Not much smell coming from her. Definitely something I'll try to regrow in the future. Flushing her now.
The good stuff:
This girl smells amazing. Dark grapey/berry notes with a little pine in their. She started to turn purple really early in flower once the buds started to gain weight. She is covered in trichomes and so was the trim.
The less good stuff:
I over trained her when she was transitioning to flower. And what I mean by that Is I tied her down and she did not stretch at all. Her buds did not get dense but I'll take blame for that.
We will see how she smokes when it's all done curing. Smells awesome in the jar. Tried a tiny nug in my mighty vaporizer and it was very green tasting still. Had a nice head high afterwards but didn't try enough to get a real gauge on her.
I think defoliating at this point depends on the overall health of the plant. I have an Alien vs Triangle that I defoliated pretty aggressively at 8 weeks, it took it well and didn't seem to slow down as a result.
I personally wouldn't do much to her, just make sure nothing is touching soil and that's about it. Hopefully her stretch is just a bit late and she puts on some height for ya.
@MikeDiv, I should also mention... I wouldn't do too much more to your girl at this stage, but for next time do your defoliation a little earlier into flowering and you'll be fine.
@MikeDiv, that shouldn't cause any problems. When they stretch out all those large leaves on the under canopy start to droop from lack of light and can come off with no issues... Strip the bottom of the plant and let her put all her energy to making fat buds!
Absolutely gorgeous. I was literally waiting on you before I chopped. My plant is identical in phenotype. I did some HST but allowed it to grow but it only reached about 6 inches tall with huge gorgeous calyxes.
@MadMama, thank you. She smells amazing in the jars but I havnt touched it since the 19th. Curing up bit should be a nice tease until the next blue toof harvest
Bruh Mike, please don't make me grow this again. Right behind you. I have done every trick in my young book to make this joker stretch or bush. Great strange smell. You let the kids feed themselves, they only ate grape bubblegum and fruit punch, but then they threw up. This plant is running me at this point. It changes colors. Your work makes me feel okay. Thanks for being the pioneer.
