Donny Burger - Side by Side

I am running a side by side comparison. The seeds are Donny Burger feminized. DB1 will be growing in HP Promix. Once a month I will give it a feeding of Gaia Green All-Purpose and a shot of Gaia Green Kelp. Once I flip to flower I'll be using Gaia Green Power Bloom. DB2 will be growing in a premixed "Superpot" I picked up from www.budmud.ca out of Saskatchewan. They advertise that their SuperPot is the easiest, most affordable way to grow exceptional organic cannabis at home. We will see. I'm not going to bother messing around with Ph balancing my water or anything. They'll get good old Alberta tap water, fresh air and sunlight.

This week was pretty standard. Nothing to report so far.

This week I got the girls into their 5 gallon forever pots. Donny Burger 1 is in a cloth pot with HP Promix. I've amended the soil with 1.5 tbsp per gallon of Gaia All Purpose 4-4-4 and 1 tbsp per gallon of both Gaia PowerBloom and Gaia Kelp mix. Donny Burger 2 is in her fancy new BudMud SuperPot. It's a mixture of their custom soil and fancy amendments. They even. Top it with a nice mulch for water retention. Let the side by side begin!

Lots of new growth this week. Donny 2 is looking great, but I feel like Donny 1 is missing something. Gonna give the girls a compost tea this week.

I gave the girls a tea this week and the greens are popping again. Donny 1 in my Promix is WAY behind in growth but has a much nicer, deeper green. Just looks healthier. Donny 2 looks a little yellow around the edges in areas but has shot up in height. For reference, D1 is at 3 nodes and D2 is at 6. Crazy difference in growth rate. On a sidenote, I moved my lights up a foot.

Nothing has gone wrong. That said, I know when my ass has been kicked. As you can clearly see omg the side-by-side photo, the BudMud SuperPot has a clearly higher growth rate. I'd love to point out that my little Gaia Donny is greener looking, but fuck man. She's half the size 😂

Just a quick update this week. Had a caterpillar who hitchhiked into the growroom and went ham on Donny 2. It's gone and the room is insect free again but I had to cut off three fans. I also took off two clones from each plant this week, I'd like to save the genetics for later. I think one more week and I'll flip to flower.

Donny 2 is a monster. She's huge. Donny 1 saw a feeding mishap this week. I fucked up on my measurements and overfed. Both are confirmed female.

Nothing exciting this week. Both plants are starting to flower out, the BudMud pot is still kicking my ass.

Didn't have time to do a big post this week. Nothing major to report anyway.

Got busy this week, forgot to update. Donny 2 is still whooping Donny 1 but they're but flowering beautifully. Tent is starting to smell like hot garbage, this crop is gonna be fire 🔥🔥

Nothing to report this week. Nugs are solid and the smell is getting really strong.

It's been a rough week. We got hit with a heatwave and I didn't have enough fans to go around. Got more on order but apparently it takes 3 weeks for curbside pickup. Every fan in my house was in or near the tent but the poor girls were still living in a dry sauna.

Defoliated the burnt shit this week. That 40 degree wave we had was terrible, the girls didn't like it. They're alive though.
