Week 8 - White Widow Auto All measurements are per 1L of water Start of week 8! Day 50 (Flower Day 22) - Fed the ladies 2L each today. I raised up the LED another 5cm or so (seriously cant raise it up anymore). For my next grow i might be getting a taller tent, my only complaint about my current one. The purple punch is just too big! She's 140cm tall and on barney's website they list Purple Punch auto as an indica dominate at 70-80cm.....well this thing sure doesnt have leaves like an indica, its much more sativa like. I'm pretty disappointing in Barney's lately to be honest. I dont think i'll be growing her genetics again. A friend just harvested about 5 different barney's seeds, all photoperiods and really took care of them well and not one yielded above 2 ounces, far from it in fact. The genetics from the diaries just seem to be all over the place. On the other hand I cant say how impressed I am by Delicious's Critical Jack Herer, very suprising that this is the only diary to run this strain as its a real winner. I'll absolutely be growing more CJH in the future. The White Widow from Seedstockers has been a real trooper from the accidental topping and she seems to be shaping up well. Her and the Gelato#33 really get the least amount of attention being at the back of the tent but they are both doing great. In the future I'll be growing 3 plants maximum so as to be able to access the ladies better for more TLC and more room for them to branch out. The feed today was as follows: Water 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.25mL A / 2.25mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.25mL Boost for a final reading of PH 6.1 and EC 1.6. I think i'm slowly going to start introducing PK13/14 but not at the regular dosage (a huge spike). I'll keep you all posted. Really excited to have the finish line insight, i can already tell that the CJH will be finishing first, which is a good thing as she's one of the ones in front. I also added a small video, forgive the crappy phone quality, i tried to get all the ladies in it. Day 51 (Flower Day 23) - Ladies fed 2.5L each today, they seem thirsty developing their flowers. Humidity down to 50c but now that it stopped raining its a bit warmer but not by much. Feed was as follows standard water of 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.5mL A / 2.5mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost for a final reading of PH 5.9 and EC 1.8 - I'll add more photo's tomorrow Day 52 (Flower Day 24) - Ladies got another 2.5L each today. I added a small amount of PK13/14. I wont be adding this every day this week but every few days. Next week it'll be increasing until week 10. The feed was as follows: water of 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.25mL A / 2.25mL B / 0.5 PK / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.5mL Boost for a final reading of PH 6.2 and EC 1.7 --- The Gelato #33 is smelling amazing, the best smell in the tent, Critical Jack Herer is starting to frost up on her sugar leaves and just keeps filling in. White widow is jugging along. I try my best to take away any fan leaves that get in the way of bud sights but its hard with the two shortest ladies being in the back of the tent. The Purple Punch just wont quit, luckily I think her main Cola has stopped stretching but i've noticed other Cola's of her's stretching, she's the least developed flower wise. Humidity is well under control now, unde 45-52% range, however since its summer its 26/27c outside but i've got the tent pretty wel ventilated with fresh air so its pretty much the same temperature at 27c. Day 53 (Flower Day 25) - The week is moving right along. Ladies all seem having and doing well. Seems like growth has slowed down and now its all about those flower production! Today's feed was 2.5L each of the following: water of 0.2 EC added CaMg to 0.5 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.25mL A / 2.25mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.25mL Boost for a final reading of PH 5.9 and EC 1.7 - Pictures to come tomorrow and some long overdue measurements. My LUX meter finally came in i'm happy to say. Readings from the tallest cola's seemed to be in the 28000-30000 range which for a white/blue/red LED @ 3500k should put it 'roughly' around 720-770 PAR which sounds good during flower. This is a bit lower than what the PPFD map that Lumatek lists but not by much and i'm willing to be its probably closer to the truth. We'll see though, regardless now that i have a good idea of things i can learn from these readings over successful grows and get use to it and the light. Day 54 (Flower Day 26) - Did a lot of wrangling (LST) of the purple punch, not letting her go over 140cm as there isnt anymore room to move up the light. Luckily the light intensity seems good for her at the moment. I made a video of each plant, the Gelato #33 and White Widow videos are a bit shorter as its much harder to take them since the two tall ladies are in front. Feed today was 2.5L each and a little PK was added, feed as follows: Water 0.2 EC to 0.6 EC /w CaMg / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B / 0.7mL PK1314 / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.0mL Boost for a final reading of EC 1.7 / PH 6.3 - Height Measurements were as follows: PP = 140cm with LST / WW = 110cm / G33 = 90cm / CJH = 120cm Day 55 (Flower Day 27) - Not much to report today. Ladies looking good, everyone filling in. Standard feed today without PK, and i was in a rush so i didnt add CaMg as i normally do with every feed (i normally let the CaMg sit for an hour and stir a few times to let the Ca bond to the Mg since mine comes in separate bottles. Feed was as follows: Water 0.2 EC / 0.5mL Rhizo / 2.0mL A / 2.0mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2mL Boost for a total reading of PH 6.3 / EC 1.3 - Will add pics to close out the week tomorrow. Day 56 (Flower Day 28) - Last day of week 8, cant believe we're moving into week 9. Time really does fly by, but atleast this way i'll have a lot of weed ๐Ÿ˜‚. The Purple Punch is starting to flower and catch up. The Critical Jack Herer is realy filling in nicely, i think she'll be the biggest yielder. The Gelato #33 is also filling in nicely although its harder to see her, but holy molly does she smell the absolute best! Her smell is electric, very pungent aroma, i think she'll live up to her name. The White Widow is also flowering nicely but she's behind the big girl so its hardest to tell with her. We'll see how things go. The feed today was 2.5L each of the following: water 0.2 EC to 0.6 EC / 0.5 Rhizo / 2.25mL A / 2.25mL B / 1mL Cannazyme / 2.25 Boost for a total reading of EC 1.7 and PH 6.3. Starting next week i'll be adding and upping the PK dose while slowly lowering the A & B, Rhizo, and Cannazyme, and increasing the Boost.

Hello. I'm not expert by all means but from my past 10 or so auto plants I've already grew i can give you some tips. Firstly I don't feed my plants at all for first 3-4 weeks, they just don't need it. Secondly its great you plant them straight in big pots, how I water young plants is half by "logic" and half of it is eyeballed. For 3 weeks just look at your seedling and imagine what you see over the soil surface, you roughly have twice as much roots underneath. That's why for first 7 days i water my plant twice a day with around 100ml water each time. From second week she's getting around 250-300ml once a day. In third week she's getting 500-750ml per watering and from 30th day i just add as much water to make my medium wet (in my case its 1500-2000ml every 24-36h) Im 10 days behind you on my seedstockers white widow. I'm looking forward comparing how our plants will compete =)

@Elek007,Right on, no worries. I'll follow your grow. I'm thinking about starting some other plants in a soil mix outside now that its nice weather wise. Would be cool to follow a successful soil grower.

@@@Lit_1,that make sense, I've always been soil guy and didn't know coco doesn't have nutrients to start with. My white widow is in new to me medium. It's called tropic batmix and is made out of 40% coco 60% peat and it have added bat poop. I wasnt planning on changing my growing routine but I will keep eye for any signs of under feeding. Thanks :)

@Elek007, Cool, thanks for the tips. Not feeding for 3 to 4 weeks would kill the plant in Coco coir as there arent any nutrients in it to begin with. You're growing in soil and that means theres already nutrients in it to begin with, so feeding is light to none at all. Also the amount of water is different since coco coir is a hydroponic medium and has to be saturated at all times, whereas in soil you want it to actually dry a little bit. Anyways thanks for stopping by and i look forward to checking your girls development out as well.

Plants look great! Just wondering how come your giving them so much water so early in the grow cycle

I agree with you ๐Ÿ’ฏ% @@Lit_1, in soil most of them are slightly amended and you can get away with only water, in COCO there is nothing, even though they do not need much, a bit CalMag is a must, I started prewashing my COCO with CalMag before I planted, that is before I went Soil and Organic, after 3 to 5 days as you said without a bit of nutrient's you can stall the growth, whatever you are doing my friend they look perfect :) Great Progress with your farmingโ—๐Ÿ’ฏ๐ŸŒฟ:thumbsup: ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ‘ Please Check Out My Diary's๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ‘

@Bushbaby808, Thank you sir. I'm trying, I made a big mistake with the white widow a few days ago, i really feel sick about it but she seems to be recovering fast. I did my homework but nothing can replace applying it and gaining practical experience. So you live you learn :)

@@Lit_1, Didn't know that, was aware they got given some good genes but its no huge surprise a lot of commercial seed markets that just repack or lazy crosses without any stability ... When a fastbuds seed pops its more of a lottery ticket than anything some are really fantastic but some arnt worth the time and shipping costs, i have limited time/ space and constraints on the number of plants I can run I don't often bother with risky seed choices (maybe 4 in a year) and then when I do get a winner I cant clone an auto so its just a flash in the stash before its gone again :/

@@Lit_1, More Bondage next time I guess, that's pretty interesting I always wanted to do some Barny's work partially for their T-shirt hahaha and a bit because they inherited a lot of Nevils genetics (didn't we all) but I might stick to their photo line I have found some seed firms still don't take autos very seriously (fastbuds springs to mind) and its more pot luck than pot plant ... I have had some really stable strains from Dutch Passion their auto critical orange punch or black berry kush are both fairly predictable favorites of mine

Lit_1commented4 years ago
@Hemporio_Afghani, They're all lolipopped, completely bare by 2 ft or so. Next time I'll definitely be LST more now that i feel comfortable with it. Although in the Barney's PP it wouldnt of mattered much as there isnt a lot of room to grow outward and barney's genetics are just all over the place.

Dont buy a tent. For a few buck about 100 you can build your own from a little wood and a roll of that black and white plastic. You could literally build a tent any size you want. And the white reflects better than the stuff they have inside the tents. Looking good..Cheers

@@Lit_1, should have mentioned for the floor, they sell cheap pond liners at home depot. Took a couple of perspective pics this morning. Almost as big as a beer can now. Have a peek when you have some time. Have yourself a great day.

@GMSgrows, Yea it is! I got some major rains coming my way so thats why i'm harvesting the CJH now (this weekend after 1week flush). Hopeing the less crowded tent will keep the ladies safe due to increased airflow as well.

Just started my first WW Auto grow, following you closely. I had some discoloration earlier than you did, but my sprouts are growing fast.

Lit_1commented4 years ago
@stumay111, Thanks for the kind follow friend! Ya its a weird strain but she seems quite hardy and future leaves wont have that discoloration. She probably gets the least love and TLC in my tent being behind a 140cm monster and in a trellis net but she's doing great i think.
