Northern Lights, Tangerine Dream Autos

Week # 1 Restarting this diary. I jumped the gun on the last one. My grow medium is promix Vegetable mix soil amended with Gaia green organic nutrients. I am going to try to go full organic on this grow. The plan is to start these indoors under my 1000W LED lamp and move them outside once they flower and start to smell. Hopefully, by then the weather will be warm enough to leave them outside. Nutrient ratios listed are per gallon of soil, not per gallon of water. Seeds went into the soil on April 26th. First Diary! -Tangerine Dream Stretched a little. I moved the light a little closer. It seems to not be stretching any further. -I'm lightly spraying the leaves and the top layer of soil with water. Not really watering aside from that until I get a couple more nodes. -If you see any glaring issues please feel free to let me know. This is my first autoflower grow and my second cannabis grow ever, so I am certainly open to learning what you guys have to offer. Cheers and happy growing!

-my Gaia green all-purpose finally arrived, so all of these girls got a top dressing and a watering before getting tied down. - I might be early on the training but I'm sure that these girls will handle it just fine. -staying the course for now. Happy growing all!

-I started giving regular full waterings now that they are starting to expand a lot. -I'm low stress training them. Some more than others. -Since I added my all purpose Gaia green and started full waterings I am noticing the colour of the plants is starting to become more uniform. I noticed what looked like deficiencies on one of the northern lights in previous weeks and that seems to be correcting itself now. -I am a novice and this is my first auto grow. Any and all feedback is appreciated. HAPPY GROWING!

-They are really starting to fill in now. -This will be their last week inside. The temperatures here have been great and I feel pretty safe doing it. I can always move them into the garage if there is another frost. -I'm giving them a litre of water every two or three days. Once the top layer dries out, I water more. They are drinking it up. HAPPY GROWING!!

-I've moved them to their homes outside. I make sure that they get as much direct sunlight as I can in my yard. I use the red sleigh to haul them around as the sun goes down to keep them in direct sunlight. -I've been keeping them watered with water pH'd at 6.3. It has rained the past couple of days and I just let them soak it up. Hopefully, it doesn't throw off my pH too much. -the smell is surprisingly strong for how early into flower they are. -you might also notice that I've moved one northern lights plant from my other diary over to this one. The other diary is strictly documenting my attempt to reverse and self-pollinate a Grower's Choice Critical Purple auto-fem plant for seeds. Please go have a look at that one if you are interested. Happy growing!!! P.S. Google Pixel 4's Camera is really terrible. The white balance is just awful. My pics indoors under full-spectrum lighting come out yellow and my pics outdoors are all over the map when it comes to the lighting and balance. If taking nice pics of your plants is important to you, stay away from the Pixel 4.

-They were starting to look a little yellow. I top dressed with some more bloom and all purpose from Gaia green earlier in the week. They are starting to look nice and green now. That will probably be the last feeding that they will get. -They are doing quite well outdoors. There is minimal slug damage and they seem quite healthy. We had a few pretty cold nights but I left them outside anyway. The average nighttime temperature now is 10+ degrees Celsius. -They are stretching like crazy. I'm hoping to start seeing some buds starting to form in the next week or two.

- They are looking pretty nice. At one point they were looking really yellow and I didn't have access to the gear to make tea. It was poor planning on my part and I had to use what I had on hand which was some standard miracle gro 20-20-20. I gave them all a good shot of it and it helped with the yellow but I did burn the tips of some leaves on a couple of the northern lights plants. They are less than organic now but it was just one emergency feeding and it worked really well. - They are getting a lot of water these days due to hot days and powerful sunlight. They are loving the current weather conditions from what I can tell. - Some of them are starting to consume lower leaves. I am assuming that this is the result of the explosive growth that I am seeing daily. They are utilizing stored nutrients in the lower leaves to feed the new growth. -Runoff pH measures in at 6.3. Right on the money. - Starting to see lots of pistils and small buds forming. Exciting times ahead! HAPPY GROWING!!!

-lazy update this week. Everything is looking good. No major issues. Hoping that these girls will be ready to harvest in 4 to 5 weeks or less. - I see no glaring nutrient deficiencies. Fingers crossed that I didn't accidentally pollinate them, but if I did, no big deal. I'll let the seeds mature and grow them out too. If they did get pollinated by accident, they got pollinated with mephisto genetics double grape auto-fem pollen. Getting a nice haul of seeds wouldn't be the end of the world. HAPPY GROWING!!

- Nothing major to report this week. They are starting to get top-heavy. 3-gallon pots outside has gotten tricky since they are getting top-heavy. When they dry out, they blow over quite easily. It isn't that big of a deal, really. but it happens a few times a week. - Runoff pH was high from one of the NL. I compensated and watered it with some lower pH and balanced it out to around 6.5. I'm good with that. - There is some slight bug damage on the leaves. The copper tape on the pots is definitely keeping the slugs away. There are slugs everywhere here but they seem to avoid my plants. I will be washing all of the buds from these plants before I hang them to dry. There is just too much stuff that can and will accumulate on these and I don't want to end up smoking it. I know that some people cringe at the idea of budwashing. I cringe at the idea of smoking dead bugs and bird shit. To each their own. HAPPY GROWING!

- They are starting to bulk up this week. I am starting to think that they should be ready in two to three weeks. -The Northern Lights that I had topped had some mold starting to take hold on one of the nodes. A single treatment with a peroxide/water solution Tooks care of it. I am checking them multiple times a day for signs of mold and mildew. The airflow in the garden has been pretty good (I still wake up to plants that have blown over through the night) but there have been a few really humid, really stagnant days with very little wind, so my guard is up. -The Northern Lights that I have been calling the runt is incredibly frosty and the smell coming off of it is just like a creamsicle. As it stands, she is the one that I am most excited about. -One of the other Northern Lights looks like it might be re-vegging. There is some odd new small leaf growth at the tips of the colas and it doesn't seem to be producing any trichomes on the new growth. I defoliated this one down to pretty much just the sugar leaves at this point. If I notice any more weird growth, I will chop her down immediately and use it for edibles or something like that. -Tangerine Dream is doing really well. Grower's Choice has some really good, really stable genetics. I am a big fan. My only hope is that she bulks up a whole lot more over the next three weeks. HAPPY GROWING!!!

Disaster struck. I found bud rot on every one of my outdoor plants. I was kind of expecting it after all of the rain and heat that we've had. There also wasn't a lot of air movement during the daytime on most days. I said in my previous week that my guard was up with regards to mold, mildew, etc... and I was right to think that way apparently. She was definitely early. I got about 1.5oz of small popcorn1 buds from the whole plant. The trichome production was just okay when I had to chop it. It was just starting to look frosty too. I am pretty disappointed. Fortunately, these will be my last outdoor grow. I will be getting my indoor setup going this winter and I will have full environmental control. I can't wait. This was a fun summer grow though. I hate that I wasn't able to let it finish but it is what it is. I've learned more valuable lessons to take into my next grow.
