Hi guys, this is our first grow and also our first diary. We are a couple who decided to try grow marijuana during the covid-19 quarantine. We decided to grow not only to guarantee quality but also for the experience of growing our own flowers. We are very excited to see how we're going to do and taste our own buds. Hope you enjoy our diary and we are all open for tips and suggestions 👽👌 For germination we used the paper towel technique, and in less than 2 days the radicle had already begun to appear as you can see in the first photo. In a few days we thought that the seed was ready to be transferred to the soil. We decided to use a small vase improvised with a plastic bottle to follow the root development and also to apply mycorrhizae at transplantation, we'll use a 15 liter felt vase for the rest of the cycle. About the soil: In the first few weeks we chose to use a compost soil (peat, perlite and worm humus) in this small vase. After transplantation we will use inert soil (peat and perlite 50%) and feed it with specific fertilizers.

In this second week of veg, we decided to start feeding with specific vegetation nutrients. She's doing great and growing fast. During day time we take her out of the tent to get her morning sunbath.

She's growing with nodes very close to each other, which makes us happy because we want a bushy plant, not a tall one. We are thinking about topping next week.

First of all, sorry for the pics under the grow light :( This week we decided that the development of the roots was already good enough to transplant to a larger pot, so we transplanted her to a felt pot (15L), applied some mycorrhizae to the rootball and we topped in the same day.

We noticed this week that she's growing much faster and the side branches too. See the difference between the pictures April 18th - Topping view and April 20th- Topping view, and how much the side branches had grown. Other than that, it was a week without major events :) Sorry again for the pictures under the grow light.

From last week to now we feel that she is growing much faster and the new shootings after topping are strong enough to start LST. Look at the grow difference between April 23 and 26th (2nd and 5th pic) at the topping view. This week we also increase the measure of nutrients. We're happy with her development, she's looking healthy and growing well. We'r very excited for the next days!

She's getting very bushy, growing fast and the side branches are developing really nice. We have to train her almost everyday, she's looking strong and healthy. We don't have a lot of news this week, we are just watching her development and training our way, we continue with nutrition as planned. Soon we'll start the defoliation.

This was the last week on vegetation light schedule, we think she had grown enough to start flowering cicle. We also started the defoliation, gradually removing the leaves, when we find it necessary.

We are starting flowering this week, the transition period was 24h of darkness from May 11th to 12th. A few days after changing the light time we noticed the first pistils appearing (May 18th), then we took two clones from the bottom and removed a few leaves from them.

We're having a little trouble with high humidity due to weather conditions. We were able to identify approximately 15 bud sites. Starting to smell good. Last week we topped one of the side branches and now we can observe (3rd pic) he developing good. We also added flowering boosters to the nutrients.

Due to the proximity of winter, humidity and temperature dropped, which will facilitate the flowering period. The plant is starting to give off a little smell and is also needing more water. However, I am concerned with development, we think the buds aren't getting fat enough. Maybe we expected the flowers to be bigger at this point. As this is my first grow, I do not have a reference of how the plant should be. Overall we're optimistic, and we'll expect in the coming weeks that she will gain weight.

We are a little concerned with the development of the plant, it is our first grow and we would like to know, is it within the size standards and does it have the expected development for flowering time?

I'd say it's right on time.. Normally most finish flower with 50-65 days after flowering begins.. Looks like a lovely lady! Happy Harvesting!

This week, the buds started slowly fattening up, showing lots of trichomes and smell nice like fresh mango. Watering got more frequent, about once in a couple days.

As you can see, our macro lens arrived, we were able to take several photos and see the trichomes, we had never seen them so close before. We also noticed that many pistils have turned brown in the last days of this week but the trichomes are clear yet. The smell is getting stronger, reminds us of fresh fruits, mango and a little citrus. We are excited, she is healthy and smells good, but a little concerned with the development of buds and if they are within the standards for this week. Despite having many trichomes and the pistils turning brown, we are not noticing a significant fattening of the flowers (correct us if we are wrong). hahaha, noob stuff =)

This week we are only in cruise control, we did the last irrigation with fertilizers and we are planning the flushing for the next week. We also had problems with humidity due to the weather. We don't have a dehumidifier, so we try other homemade techniques to solve the situation. The flowers have gained some weight and are changing the smell. We are excited for the harvest.

This week the humidity and temperature are better now than last week. We flushed and the water at pH 6.6. The flowers have also gained weight and the trichomes are becoming cloudy and it is already possible to find some amber. In the mornings we are trying to let her receive sunlight every day.

There are 3 times of harvest to get different results: 1- Opaque Trichomes: Not the highest THC, more euphoric effect. 2- Milky Trichomes: Most THC content 3- 20% Amber Trichomes - Some of the THC will turn into more relaxing CBD. This strain is a 70% Sative strain which means you will have an euphoric, energetic-high effect with any of the above options. The harvest schedule shows 8-9 months and your plant doesn't seem to have any problems right now. Personally, to get the most THC I would rather wait to see more amber trichomes (not only on the top branches but on the below branches, too). You may wait until the end of the 9th week then check again. The trichomes will become milkier and it will gain some size in the meantime. You may also consider flushing the plant these days according to your decided schedule. Hope this helps, Happy farming

We are watching trichomes every day and it looks like it is almost ready so we are thinking of harvesting next week. It is already possible to see some amber trichomes. Unfortunately it seems that we are not going to harvest the expected amount, the buds were not very dense and fat, apparently the buds are just small leaves with trichomes.

We are a couple who decided to plant cannabis for the first time during the covid-19 quarantine, and it helped us get through it, during and after grow =] Before deciding to plant, we studied a lot and saw many diaries here, so we didn't have many surprises during the cycle, also because we were able to see, compare and know what to expect from our plant. It was really cool to see the result of what we had studied happening in practice, we learned a lot from Grow Diaries. Definitely we will do a lot of different things next time, but overall we were satisfied to be able to smoke our own weed. Grow diaries helped and motivated us a lot, both to learn new things and to organize and register our grow. Our intention is to continue growing and sharing our experience here. Weed love you to leave comments and tips in our diary, it helps us to learn and improve more and more. Thanks and see you all next grow! 👽😜👌
