Got this cutting last night, around 2 weeks old and showing signs of deficiencies probably due to the recent pot transfer and lack of care from previous owner lol (^~^ ) Initially reared on simple canna nutes but fingers crossed the boost from my halved shogun mix will help breathe some life back into her. Opted for the half mix of shogun nutes to help ween the plant onto it's new diet and will see about increasing my dosages later on if required.
This week has been a slow one but still showing signs of growth. Earlier in the week I opted to begin some LST to help the tight node formations separate and start getting some light to the side of her.
Shes taken on a gentle lean from her main stem and the top of of the plant is growing upright to create an angle, still she has grown another 0.5 of a cm so upwards growth is good.
Also pruned some dying fan leaves at the lower end of the plant to tidy her up and give the plant early priorities.
Suffering with low humidity atm but will look to remedy this in the near future, considering uprooting her in acouple weeks to transfer to my DWC setup, will keep all updated.
Plant has shown slow but healthy growth since its arrival, LST continues and I've managed to keep the plant at the same height it was last week but now at a horizontal angle.
I did up the nutes for one feed to a slightly under recommended dose but in the days following I noticed the plant looking a little 'droopy' and since she has been with me she hasnt been drinking very well so I opted to flush her for a feed, since then she has seemed very happy :) whilst drinking much better (possible nute lock was imminent). Now back down to half doseages with the exception of CalMg (to help after flush) but will be increasing them in the following days.
As of next week I will be transferring her and another plant my partner is nurturing into single bucket DWC set ups. Fingers crossed I will see some hearty results for making the crossover to hydro.
Another slow start to the week after transplanting from coco to DWC. The plant showed little signs of growth and just seemed to be in 'limbo' for afew days. She then picked up the pace and has been sprouting new hairy roots and new foliage up top each day!
LST continues to keep her low and wide with alot of new growth now accumulating from the main stem that is exposed. Will be looking to up the nutes over the following week to encourage her back to regular feeding dosages.
This week she has shown the most growth overall. Shes doubled in size and shows newfoliage each day! LST continues to keep her evenly at 14cm and open for light to hit those central areas.
As stated i have upped the nutes to accommodate her new found strength and hope to see bountiful results over the following week.
Have decided to make changing water buckets every 2 weeks instead of weekly at this stage as I find the plants do not drink enough to warrant doing so, top ups over the week seem to suffice perfectly (yay money saved).
Shes alil jungle right now but tomoz I will look to exfoliate some to clean her up, didn't want to stress her too much after todays water change. Fingers crossed I'd say another 2 weeks max before flipping her into flower. (And toes).
Another good week, so we though heck why not flip these ladies! Growth has been steady and rewarding, decided to let the LST stop for a week to let them grow upright as they started off as flat as the lid lol.
Nute schedule is the same but will be upping that in following weeks again to accompany the flowering stage. Sister plant is also doing fantastic so good feelings towards the next couple of weeks.
Only issue I can say I may clearly encounter right now is the difficulty I'm having in keeping my temps down, I have afew bottles of ice I stow away and use to drop temps 1-2 times a day but at this stage of summer and plant growth I can only reduce temps to around 18-20 degrees. Fingers crossed this will suffice..
Strong week of flowering, shes healthy and thick ;) nutes have been upped and sumo boost added for this weeks water change.
LST is becoming lighter and defoliation I shall complete on week 3 for the last time, right now just letting her do her thing.
Shes also leaning heavy on one side so have had to give her a little support with a soft tie.
A slow start to the week after her defoliation but picked up at the end of the week and she is forming nice 'budlettes'.
LST is keeping anything getting too tall and stealing the lime light.
Will be introducing PK next week when I do water change.
Another strong week, defoliation stress was near non existent and she bounced back fast.
Buds are forming nicely and a stronger smell is emitted when I open my door along with the plant being sticky to the touch.
Another great week of growth, I've noticed she has pretty much stopped growing any larger fan leaves so I havent needed to defoliate.
The smell in the space is strong now and she is producing lovely sweet buds that are dense and sticky.
Reduced her nute intake and have introduced DRAGON FORCE.
Started noticing nute burn on the tips of my leaves this week which have slightly worsened since, I feel this may have been an oversight in adding DRAGON FORCE alittle earlier than recommended. Have corrected the nute regime this week and fingers crossed she perks up.
Buds are still growing pungent and sticky so no real major concerns.
Emitting a very pungent earthy smell now :) down to only 2 nutes for the final week before a week of flush.
Showing bud growth every day but hoping she will fatten up alil more over the last couple weeks.
FINAL WEEK! H20 for this girl only. Shes come along way from the distressed cutting she started at but all round happy with her growth, cut & wet trim next week.
Overall this strain has been a joy to grow! From start to finish she has been strong and shown little signs of being unhappy after stress. Personally I would have liked her to 'thicken up' alittle more but she has done well all round and smells wonderfully pungent.
