First week of ak auto, sprouted as it should, within 3 days, growing in a mixture of compost, coco, small amount of water, this was under a 75w LED full spectrum light (apparently) but, gotta say when young they do seem to love it. This was a free seed i was given by iceheadshop, although the seed itself is from vision seeds, seems to be a few good reviews on this strain so naturally looking forward to seeing the results.
First time grower, so wont be using any techniques to increase yield and will be growing fully organic as i want to compare the strains growing naturally against the same strains i will grow in future but with chemicals etc, see if their are any dramatic differences in yield, height, health etc.
Any hints or tips from the masters fully appreciated 😁😁
Not much movement of course, and didnt expect much, looking healthy growing gradually,
Organic tea with ph controlled by lemon juice, aloe vera powder added.
Nice growth spurt at the end of week 3, growing nice and strong so far, small oscillating fan added to the tent now, plants getting a nice breeze. Worm casting, kelp meal and aloe vera steeped for a good few days in ph controlled water, fed once this week, watered every other day.
Growing well, absolutely no issues so far, its quite happily doing its own little thing, fed some organic cal/mag this week hopefully give it a nice little boost, way its growing it'll take over my ak-49 auto which was planted roughly 3 weeks earlier.
Clearly able to identify sex this week, ak auto is the one on the top right.
Seemed to have stretched quite a lot over the last 7 days, very close to flowering soon i believe, quite dark green compared to my other strains thought maybe notrogen toxicity, but no clawing and after looking on quite a few grow diaries, realized its just the strain lol
Started flowering.....happy days, feeding organic fertiliser once a week with molasses now, a little cal mag plus and monitering run off, no yellowing, clawing, brown spots, and a very fast grower, quite impressed so far, its going to be ready before the ak 49 for sure
Thought with it flowering it would slow on growth, light is 30-40cm away but its still growing around an inch or so a day, very weak hay earthy type smell.
Really filled out over the last week and still growing if not a lot slower now. Getting a faint smell once in a while, starting to look a little frosty, nice contrast between the dark leaves and the white tricombs..... dont know why but being a free seed i wasnt really expecting much, but starting to now, hard to judge but i dont think the yield will be a huge one, reviews and website says around an ounze per plant, so we'll see.
Looks like its pretty much finished growing now, been a very easy plant to care for, required absolutely no tlc just water and feed, exactly what it said on the tin
Thought it smelt normal, until i accidentally brushed a bud with my forearm, watering it, and holy crap, been smelling it ever since haha, very strong smell, earthy, skunky, diesal smell, enough to make your mouth water.
On the home stretch now, buds have thickened up nice, very very strong smell, its a very pretty plant if i do say so myself 😄, getting a few amber there now, will be watching everyday, been doing a flush for a few days just to remove salts etc nearly done!!!!
Pretty much what i expected tbh, reviews said an oz and thats what i got, without any specialised nutrients like overdrive etc, but, this grow wasnt just done with soil and water either, herbs, worm castings, organic cal mag, plus more, so all basic plant needs were met, honestly didnt need any tlc at all, very strong strain, would have preferred a indica, buds very light and airy but by god do they pack a punch, and the smell....omg lemony citrus with a full blown skunky kick in the nostrils, actually made my mouth water, absolutely covered in a frosty layer of crizzy lol. Nice oldschool taste very smooth, which leaves you with your cheeks tingling after a few minutes. Would be nice to grow again with chemical nutrients to see if yield could be increased, if you're growing just for personal use, definately worth throwing a seed in.
