About 7 days from seed
Grow Setup:
3'x3'x6' Tent
60/40 Coco coir / perlite mix
Nutrients: GH Flora Trio + CaliMagic
Light: "1800w" cob CRX Sunny (True draw ~300w)
Small space heater, tent area is almost constantly 53F year round. Tent runs ~68F with light on.
Inkbird ITC-310: temp controller used to control space heater and bump up day time temps just a bit. Controller is setup to drop temps to 10F lower at night.
The plant that started faster from seed seems to have developed a deficiency. Not too surprising because I forgot to add nutrients to my coir mix before potting. Watering seedlings in 5 gal is tough, they definitely look a tiny bit over watered.
Started LST mid this week with some small sections of electric wire to stake into the coco. When the plants get bigger I'm going to switch to velcro strips on the side of the pot. That one sickly looking plant is still not great despite being flushed at least once at this point. I think I also Fimmed both plants, it was either this week or next week.
Continuing on with LST. Plants are starting to get bigger. Root growth seems good. That one plant still seems to be stunted compared to the bushier plant.
Some great vegetative growth this week. Canopies are really starting to fill out. At this point I'm starting to remove larger fan leaves that get in the way of light getting to lower bud sites. I started using velcro cable manager strips to train the plant at this point, some attached to the outside of the smart pot some attached back to other branches.
Got some solid growth again and in the middle of the week I defoliated both plants. The healthier plant has some nice preflowers. Still using velcro to keep the branches manageable.
pre-flowering stage is kicking up, some good looking buds forming across the healthy plant. Sickly plant is sickly, nothing new there. I'm going to give the sickly plant another week to see if it starts flowering.
Chopped the sickly plant this week, it just wasn't budding fast enough. I think it had one two many ph lockouts/deficiencies to make it into flowering. Now the single plant left is popping pistils all over the place and putting on some size. Still pulling leaves here and there to make the canopy less dense.
One plant down one still going.
Pistils on buds are starting to turn orange. Trichomes popping up all over the place. Starting to bulk up a little bit. Also had to upgrade my fan from a 104cfm duct booster to a 199cfm 4" inline blower, the duct booster wasn't pulling enough air through the tent and it was getting pretty smelly outside.
Trichomes are coming along. Buds are growing but not at their peak yet. Getting very frost in some spots. More pistils are starting to dry out / recede.
Ramping down the nutrients. Flushing at the end of the week. I have to get these harvested before I have a bunch of visitors over to the house. Trichomes are looking milky, if I wasn't on a time restriction I'd try and leave them another week.
Overall I thought this was a great strain to grow. I had one plant die from nutrient deficiencies/ph lockout but I'm pretty sure it was just a loss in the genetic lottery.
