Black DOG Humboldt Seeds

Day 1: Germination in Just cannabis Soil. Dropped seed in soil, covered with slight mist of ph water in dark grow room covered with glass mason jar for humidity, lights on around day 6 once first leaves appear. (20:30 8/5/20)

Day 7: Showing lots of potential. The Just cannabis soil certainly lives up to its claims Of stimulating vigorous growth. Very little water this week probably topped it up with around 3L or so for the week, once. Slight water around seedling, feeding just PH water. Light schedule 24hrs for the next week. Keeping humidity and temp stable.

Day 14: She looks like a bird in flight! Genetics is everything 😁 Thank you @Humboldt_Seed_Organisation 🙏. Just a couple liters of PH water this week give or take... not having to water that much with the Just Cannabis soil, it’s doing a great job in water retention, keeping growing really effortless. I moved the light up to about 75 cm to avoid risk burning new grow and changed the lighting schedule to 18/6. Average humidity of around 60/ temp 25. 🙂

Week 4: look at het flapping her wings. A tremendous growth spurt in the last two weeks. I managed to identify and treat some humidity and over-watering issues and think I got her dialed in right now. But, this is what I love about this grow journey, improvement comes being consistent in learning and adapting. Once again great genetics from Humboldt Seeds and the stability of Just Cannabis soil certainly helps lessen the impact of my noob mistakes and, we back in flight mode. Topped up with couple liters of PH water only. No nutrients at this point just PH water and living soil. A few changes this week; moved her to a more comfortable space. Dropped the light gradually throughout the week and settled at 40cm. Temp slightly lower lately but I managed to keep humidity idling between 65/75. Added an extra fan to the grow air to improve ventilation. Will be focusing more on extraction and dehumidifiers as from next week.

Week 5: This week was all about battling bugs, adjusting fans endlessly, making bug traps, blood and sweat, and of course the dreaded humidity. I found a few mosquitos and Aphids munching on my girl. Unfortunately mosquitos are a “resident” of the area I live too so had to set a few bug traps. Also ordered some cool equipment and organic insecticide to get her feeling right as rain again, really looking forward to our next week. Topped her and have already starting doing some LST to spread the branches and get more light onto new growth, from which is doing very well. Scary experience as I was afraid of hurting her, tore a leaf here or there but no harm done. Once again the great genetics from Humboldt seed organization and Quality Just Cannabis soil kept her stable and she pulled through! Sipping more water this week a little more than 5L water. Still battling humidity with the fluctuating weather but that should be sorted in the next few days... until next week ✌️

Week 6: My favorite girl doing so well after topping her and the LST. Just two days later and new growth started popping up beyond the fan leaves. Her leaves are broad and bold, growing beyond the circumference of the pot. Around 3 weeks or more and I’m assuming her ready to be switch to flower, things are progressing fast and well since I got some new equipment, fan, filter etc and, If I could give any advice at this point it would be to not bother growing if you do not have the “right” equipment and it really doesn’t have to be the most expensive just efficient and effective in doing the job. It can certainly be a kick in the teeth to come so far into your grow and battle with environmental issues etc. I’m still battling humidity as I wait for my dehumidifier but the cool temps we’ve been having lately has definitely helped a lot. About 3L water this week. Last week I had a slight Aphids/ mite issue and got some organic insecticide but rather experimented by dusting some diatomaceous earth around the stalk and it seems to have cleared it right up. I haven’t noticed any further damage or critters hanging around, will keep a closer eye before I enter flowering stage, I’m hoping to have everything dialed in by then, enjoying all the learnings and textbook sized notes I’m making🙏 Still no nutes, the amazing genetics of @Humbolt_seed_organization seems to have weathered the storm of my mediocre environment along with the amazing stability of just cannabis soil. I have only been feeding her PH water thus far. Really excited to see her flourish in the next few weeks 😁 until next week, Take care everyone ✌️

Week 7: I’m starting to feel like the kid on the backseat during a long drive... “are we there yet?” 🙂 Best news humidity down to 50 🤙 redistributed air flow and fit a larger extraction fan in the bathroom, which happens to be next door, causing all the excess humidity. Small wins this week👊 Did a little more LST but, that was short lived. Pic 2 and 3 are taken 48hrs apart. She glowing and growing, I’m happy, she’s happy 😊 excited and planning my next grow daily! Number 1 on my list Humboldt_seed_organization strains and Just Cannabis soil. Still no nutes just PH water🤙 until next week happy growing ✌️

Week 8: Its about that time folks 😁 switching to FLOWER this week, expecting a 30% increase in growth. Will be running a 6am to 18pm lights on schedule. She is a thriving with growth and I will definitely have to do some defoliation soon. Weather has been abit fickle affecting humidity this week. She’s been smelling really sweet tho! Already imagining what he flavor will be like! Excitement is certainly in high gear! Did a little more LST but, that was short lived once again. Giving her 24hrs of sleep before the switch. Before switching will serve her a feeding of Epsom salts and molasses and fresh PH water to get her jump started for the victory lap! Week 9:... and doing just fine 😁 in the first pic is a bouquet of my girl for my girl! She doing very well and growth on point👌 Did some defoliation and stretched her out a little more. She is certainly drinking muuuuch more these days been having to top her up quite frequently this week and, feeding a serving of molasses and epsom Salts with every second Feeding. I will have to get a few fly traps again it seems, some bugs have started nibbling on her again. Will be switching to flower for the last half of our journey🙏 No big issues, must admit a pretty sweet week👌 Excited for what lies ahead 👍 until next week fellow growers happy growing 😁

The moment where all the real fun began, switch to flower 😁😁🌳 gave her a heavy and good defoliation so that she can breathe abit better and created some space for those potential buds to fatten up nicely! She certainly felt the loss, looking all sad and stuff by boy oh boy did she Pull through! Big shoutout to Just Cannabis soil and Humboldt_seed_organisation🔥☝️

Ahhhhhaaaaaa then this happened! Snapped the mains stem right down the center about an inch deep! Man did I think it was over almost 3 months work down the drain! I created a splint using some bending wire and pulled her together slightly and also added some hooks I made and elastic in the middle to create a little tension around the snapped area kept it secured for about a week or so, but she eventually pulled through! As you guys will see from the weeks that follow! Massive shoutout to Just Cannabis soil and Humboldt_seed_organisation for amazing genetics 🔥☝️

Week 12 and after literally slitting her throat! She pulled through and thriving in flower! What a girl, what a strain❤️❤️❤️🌳🔥🔥🔥 I removed the splint and she held together just fine! Just Cannabis and Humboldt you guys are the best in the biz 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙

Week 13: the “Black” in black dog is certainly showing its true colors right about now 🖤 thriving in flower and smelling sweet! I must admit I’m guilty of touching her sweet flowers now and then and smelling her sweet scent! I can wait to see her flourish in the next couple of weeks 🌳🔥☝️☝️

I been gone for a minute but now I'm home :) whatsup you'll🙌 I will update the missed days soon just been abit occupied... But yeah my girls doing so well about 4 weeks left till harvest I reckon! It’s that time folks. The end is near 🤣 about that time to consider buying a loupe to inspect those trichomes I guess 😁 she’s flowering perfectly👌 About done pushing pistil on the tops colas but mids still have a tiny way to go it seems... enjoying the process of preparing for my next grow, really enjoyed the stability of Just cannabis soil, I only fed her ph water followed by Epsom salts and molasses closer to the end... no deficiencies or additional nutes needed, it was certainly a dream Cruise thus far... obviously the genetics of Humboldt_seed_organization played an equally important part in getting me thus far! If one thing is for sure those two products are first on my list for next season! Hope ya’ll are doing good! Grow safe folks 🔥
