Day 1.
Planted seed straight into coco coir and vermiculite.
Watered with pH balanced water nothing else.
Sat in window until it sprouts.
Day 6 popped up from the coco.
Day 7
She's sat outside with plastic bottle on top to keep RH up.
Sprouted and looking quite happy. Outside for the moment while weather is good and grow tent still full.
I use tap water which is left out overnight to remove the chlorine.
I then use 80% lactic acid to reduce pH of tap water to around 6.4
She's coming along quickly. Might end up doing the whole veg outside as the lady in the grow tent is taking her time flowering.
Will have to pot her up this week but she seems happy.
4 weeks from planting the seed straight into coco.
Potted her up into a large pot with cocoa coir and perlite. Moved indoors as the weather has cooled off a bit and the tent (CBD Peach Puree) is taking forever to ripen.
Planted her to one side of the pot so I can maximise the space in my grow tent when I start LST.
Gave the coco an overnight soak in cal mag to avoid any potential deficiencies before transplanting.
She's quite happy :)
I've noticed a few people doing diaries for this new plant, so I've decided to mix it up a bit and take a risk to see if it responds to mainlining. For science!
Yes, I'm aware she's an auto. Exactly the point.
Topped a little early maybe, but will be interesting to see how she reacts.
Days/week include time from being planted as seed.
She's finally in the tent.
Slight Nitrogen issues: shiny green leaves and a bit of curling. This pot doesn't drain too well it seems.
Will let her dry out a bit and then continue to feed with a reduced nitrogen mix.
Mainlining seems to be going ok. Think I'll leave it at 4 kolas as I don't want to stress her when she's going to flip into flower.
Wasn't sure if she was going to make it after the second topping and defoliation but she seems to have come back ok. Just going to keep training her and feeding her. Low stress from now on.
She's in flower and she's in the new tent. It's a Budbox 120x120x200 so loads more room.
Did a little defoliation to remove any moisture on the leaves and to remove any light blockages.
Will continue with LST only now as she's stretching and I don't want to overstress her.
Thinking this strain may grow a bit quick for mainlining really but will be interesting to see what she yields.
She's coming along.
Pretty chunky pistols and but quite small at the moment.
Leaves are starting to take on some purple which looks nice.
By 2nd July (Day 49 from seed going into pot) she was starting to get bud sites everywhere and look a bit unruly.
So, gave her a bit of minor defoliation and LST on the taller offshoots. Noticed she's starting to get a bit thirstier these days.
Have removed all LST ties and just letting her go with the flow now.
Bending and cutting a few leaves here and there that are blocking bud sites.
Hoping she fills out a bit more, otherwise it looks like the mainline stunted her a bit. Will grow a standard plant in future to compare.
Trichomes still developing and pistils still 99% white.
When trimming her a bit she smells of fresh lemon meringue! Amazing, can't wait to try this out.
She's taking her time to ripen up.
My humidity is a bit too high in the tent which is probably to blame as there's quite a bit of leaf growth happening so had to defoliate her again.
Most of the trichomes seems to be on the leaves. Not very big buds but I'll leave her until most of her pistils are all brown until harvest. May start flushing start of next week.
Smells great, still very lemony but with a hint of kitchen cleaner with it as it's so intense. Only when you touch it, not much aroma in the air.
I've started another one of these in a different diary so that they can be compared. There will be no HST on that one at all. Plus a much better light.
She's taking her time to ripen.
Trichomes still clear in most places, no sign of any amber, not much cloudiness either.
She's now under the new Mars Hydro so hopefully that will finish her off nicely.
She's taken her sweet time about ripening.
Also had a bit of a nightmare when the whole pot fell over when my clumsy foot knocked the stand. Poor girl wa tuned upside down.
Will have to pick out the cocoa and perlite bit by bit. Ugh. Started to flush.
She's foxtailng, putting out new pistils, there's some amber trichomes and she's not very thirsty so I'm calling it - she's done.
Will harvest her tomorrow - and hopefully get rid of any cocoa which has stuck to her.
Will update with wet/dry rates after drying and testing.
Whoop!
Overall really happy with her.
I did some fairly brutal HST and she performed pretty well. Smells great and does exactly what she's meant to .
I tested some the other day and fell asleep soon after with a very chilled, cosy sense of relaxation.
