so i started 4 seeds 5-20 and 2 popped ( BC Skunk & Astro Queen) in 24 hrs :) 3rd (Amsterdam Flame) in next 12 and one Amnesia Lemon still has not sprouted think it's a dud. after first 3 got planted and sprouted in 1 .5 days, i decided since germination hadn't happened with AM. Lemon i'd just added it wet soil and keep it damp . The other 3 are doing well temp and RH are staying pretty average at about 72-74 temp and 73-78 RH try to raise temp with warming pad and humidifier but it usually spikes humidity to much as its to big for 32x32 x6 tent, but the 4x4x7 tent will be free in a few days from my 4 first grow plants i started 1/16 that are almost ready to harvest. Ill put pics up soon as i figure that out.lol The 4 im about to harvest were just seeds saved from random kryp bud we bought . they are really pretty but i didn't top or train or even have under good light or tent until were over a month into Veg . Back to the pups for say they were not Feminized seeds i screwed up was looking on many sights and looking for certain strains and ended up not in feminized seed listings and bought before i realized ,,,60$ for 4 seeds..lol live and learn . Also i was planting the Flame seed with tweezers in my room on brown shag carpet and seed popped out of tweezers into floor couldn't find it anywhere and was so worried but i had vet appt with dog so i left room turned lights out till i got back from vet and used a black comb to find it Chaaa-ching i found it and tap was still attached and it was planted with other 3 Phewww. i was relieved to say the least.
They are doing there thang. Getting second set of leaves. June 1st took pics June 2nd I made a gallon jug distilled water with a tbls fox farm big bloom seedling fert. But still using a spray bottle on them so amounts can't really be calculated. Will spritz with this every 3 days I think in-between 2-3 time daily sprits of watering .temps holding strong at about 72-76 and RH between 63 and 70
Ok so the babies are looking good started a seedling fertilizer 3 days ago and it's just a 16 oz spray bottle I use to spays once a day on them with there watering that I do midday and late evening between the 3 plants the get about 8oz distilled water every other day . Think I may try to start giving them a full pot watering this week and stop with the spray bottle waterings I'll see and keep an eye on their growth and will put in a 5-7 gallon fabric pot in the coming weeks prob will be my next update with a few pics and maybe a question or two. Ok plants are doing well I have 6 layers still only about 3-4 inches tall should I top them now if so where and what should I expect? The also have inner leafs starting already from second to bottom up to top is this normal at this early a stage, should I leave them or pinch?
now is a good time to top them as they have more than 5 nodes. I take my down to the third or fourth.. It really depends on how tall you want your plant to be the lower you top the shorter and bushier it becomes.. also I wouldn't top until a week after transplant or top and then wait a week to transplant.. don't need two shocks back to back! Ok one more ....I have my 5 gal fabric pots but Im concerned with transplanting yet in fear of root rot from being in such a big container I.E. over watering the soil that roots won't reach for quite some time what's a good rule of thumb on this
you want to soak all the medium.. and then let it dry.. If you leave dry spots in your medium the roots will not grow there.. don't be afraid of watering to much at once.. overwatering comes from watering too frequently! Happy growing! 👊
So last night I decided to go ahead and transplant the babies into their 5 gallon fabric pot . Compared to my first grow the roots and the plants did not seem as strong as the first grow. The root wasn't near as established in the stems seemed weak . Hoping this transplant will strengthening them in conjunction with bringing the light closer.
Ok so I messed first pics are week 5. These girls are 2 days from 7 weeks today and still only 6-8 inches tall between the lot of them were very full and bushy but I did a big Defoliation tonight and opened them way up as I'll be flipping switch on them in 3-4 weeks no matter how big they are as I started 3 autos yesterday that will be in same tent in a few days 😉
second grow is hybrid strains, do they grow different then a reg seed /random bag seeds found, These seem to have way more inner growth then height and branches.Are they doing their thing? Plz Check out weeks an see everything I've done,then plz fill me in. Ty stay high! Kimmie😊
Not necessarily. Finding seeds in your bag weed is never going to be a trustworthy grow, you don't really know what strain it is, how it's going to grow and it could be a hermie or male...all strains have different grow patterns and even in each seed of the same strain! Good breeders will work hard for consistency in their seeds👍🌱
I think had you transplanted a tad earlier you might be further along. It looked like a shallow pot early on, that will impact it's height. Regardless, all that matters is how it is growing now. Stick to a dry/wet cycle - 1" dry before you irrigate - and it all turns out well (~20% runoff)
As far as what a hybrid does.. genetic variation is going to have some say on the matter of plant structure.
It's just either their more dominate sativa or indica side coming out with a hybrid seed as it can steal genes from both parents.. Kinda cool if ya ask me! Other than her looking really damp and droopy, (maybe a bit of over-watering?) she looks ok! Let her dry another day or two between watering.. remember you can soak a pot with as much water as you want and the plant will be ok.. but if you water to frequently you'll drown your plant.. needs that wet dry cycle..
