Lamainverte Second grow here and first try with autos. The first grow with photos (Critical + and Critical Widow) have been a good learning experience but the yield was disappointing. So why not try autos instead since it's quicker! After a couple days in a glass of room temp water and 3 days in little peat pellets the 4 red poison and 3 sweet cheese have been repotted in 9l pots and tucked in the grow room. I use biobizz light mix and the grow room is a probox 80*80*160. Since it is winter I am not using the cooltube and I have added an ultrasonic humidifier to compensate the dry heat from the light. Comments and advices are more than welcome as we go :)

Lamainverte Hi guys ! Back for week two with some nice growth here. Although one of the sweet cheese seems to have special needs and is clearly falling behind ... Pretty happy with the girls colors but a couple plants display curved leaves. Probably a heat related issue as I have no cool tube. Light is now at 50cm until they are a bit stronger. Day 9 watering Biogrow 2ml/L RootJuice 2,5ml/L Day 10 Foliar application of Neem Oil by agrichembio to prevent and repel any bugs. I plan on doing this every couple weeks. Day 12 watering Biogrow 3 ml/L Rootjuice 3ml/L Cannazym 2ml/L

Lamainverte We are now at day 20 and the girls are doing great so far! Unfortunately the sweet cheese #3 had a weak pheno and was already waaay behind the others so I terminated her :/. Waiting for the stretch to begin anytime soon according to what the breeder says. I am not expecting the auto plants to be huge but since there is 6 of them and that my box is quite small i installed a "scrog net". It looks a bit shady to be honest but that will help me to spray all the branches nicely in the grow room without tucking them or bending them if I can avoid it. Also I have a question for you guys! As you can see on pic 8 a lot of my leaves tend to curve downwards on themselves. I've done a bit of reading but I can't figure out why... My climate seems fine, bottom of the box is insulated, it shouldn't be overwatering (500ml p/p every 3 to 4 days). Maybe a nute deficiency ? If it can help for the diagnostic, I just saw the first yellow decoloration on the oldest pair of leaves. N issue ? I would love your opinion on the issue guys ! Peace

Lamainverte Flowering is on and the first pistils are coming out. I have been waiting a lot before setting up the "scrog net" as I really didn't know what I was doing lol. It is now in place waiting for the stretch to hit for real. I've tried to spread the low branches while letting the apex free to grow without stress. Not convinced about my move yet but this is gonna be interesting for sure. Health wise I am still wondering why the leaves are curling. Now they start to decolorate a bit more but overall they look good. I'll try an homemade CalMag solution made with egg shells next week as I suspect a lack of Calcium is responsible for the situation (could also be a problem with the assimilation of calcium, meh ... hard to figure it out). Day 23 - Light defoliation (the two first pair of leaves on each plant) Day 25 - Neem oil (foliar) Peace !

Lamainverte I went away for the WE and when I came back the plants were 20 cm taller and in full stretch. Luckily the chicken wire had done no damages at all but we noticed some serious yellowing on the lower larger leaves. I decided to give them a potent nutrient mix thinking there was deficiencies but I realized the day after that it made it worse. I took me some reading to understand it is surely a ph lock and an accumulation of solid salts so I rinsed every plant with 4L of luck warm, ph adjusted plain water with a tad of enzymes. It worked really well and the stretch continues. Side note. At the end of week 5 the 2 sweet cheese are 25cm tall while the red poisons are soon to be 60cm. The breeder sell them as having similar end height though. Maybe the phenotype reacting differently to the slight defoliation on week 3 ?

Lamainverte Starting this week like the previous one. I rinsed in week 5 (to adjust the soil ph) so once the pots dried I thought I'd give them a generous feeding. It went sideways and the day after the plants were showing serious deficiencies in P, Mag and Cal despite the feeding. So I had to rince once again with a very light nutrient content and I triple checked my soil Ph. But overall they look quite good. Also 3 of the red poison are turning purplish around the buds ! Nice. I really think using PH down (chloridric acid) is not helping with the microbial life of my soil. It seems it lost its natural buffer effect on the ph and I end up with recurrent nutrients assimilation problems. Next grow I'll try natural solutions (lemon juice, etc) to bring my water to the right Ph. What do you guys think ?

Looking great! might be good to add some silica for strengthening branches. Feed your Girls with Fiji bottled water on one feed - Has natural silica in it! One other tip: Had a friend who ran chicken wire SCROG and found the wire cut into branches. To remedy it, he picked up some of the spray can rubber stuff from home depot (like spray paint but it sprays rubber) and he coated both sides of chicken wire and never had problems again!!

@Lamainverte, NP! Hope it is helpful!

@Lamainverte, If the pots are sitting on a cold, warmth sapping surface like concrete it will cause what looks to be a Calcium issue. Put a styrofoam sheet under or in the bed of the tent bro... I had to do this for the same reason.

@Hellhazard,I realized that too after a couple weeks unfortunately. I've insulated the bed of the tent with cardboxes and styrofoam but I keep having troubles with cold/ph induced deficiencies. (Cal, Mag, P). So far I kept the damages to a minimum with a couple slight pots rinsing,amendements and less nutes. Pictures coming up.

How far away is your light to the top of the canopy? It looks like the leaves are curling away from the light?
Lamainverte
Lamainverte commented8y ago
@gdogfunk, 40 to 45 cm depending.
