15 gallon amended organic soil.
Watering with bubbled water and will add General Organics Go Box line of nutes as required.
LST will be completed with the use of the OG Spring for my first try with one of these.
Nothing much to report coming into week 2. From seedling to now has grown 4 inches. Expecting this week to be the start of veg growing as the leaves are developing.
We are dealing with quite cold snap so a humidifier was added the other day
Received a second light feed with bubbled water on day 8 plus some mammoth P. Feeding estimated at each 3 days going forward. 1/4 gallon per feed
Thanks for stopping by and having a look.
Nothing much to report yet.
Week saw the Chocolope growth in its leaf structure and root system. Expecting the start of aggressive vegetative growth in week 3.
Moved the light schedule up to 20/4 and the additional cobs were turned on this week.
Feeding the General Organics GO-BOX line 5ml per gallon, currently 1/2 gallon in the 15 gallon fabric pot every 2 to 3 days
Fighting temps on the lower side as we are experiencing an extreme cold snap of minus 40 this weekend and my tent is in the basement, at least it’s not too much heat.
Thanks for checking my first grow out!
I’ll be back with updates.
Happy Smokes ~ sleeve
Well, the start of week 4 is upon me.
I must say, after 3 weeks of slow growth and development, the chocolope has now taken off.
The first day of week 4 observed the leaves double in size.
The second day it doubled in height. The stretch is starting.
Through this week I should have enough height to place my OG Spring to start LST
The stretch has started during week 4. Feeding the General Organics GO Box nutritent line every 2 days with half a gallon of bubbled RO water.
Completed initial LST with an OG Spring.
Have had to add an additional tie this week already.
Started tying back higher colas from the lower branches.
With the 15 gallon pot, I intend to let her veg for another 2 or 3 weeks to get a large bush before hitting flower.
Thanks for having s look everyone, feel free to drop a note. My first photo grow, I’m sure I can use any pointers.
Happy smokes.
I think I’ll be doing the switch to flower this week.
I’ve got a great little bush started and it should stretch over the first two to 3 weeks.
I have s tone of head space for it.
Been busy tying back branches that over grow the rest.
The OG Spring on my first use has been an easy entry into LST.
My canopy is well spaced and level coming into flower.
Thanks for looking everyone, it has been a blast thus far!
Start of week 7 and the flip to 12 hour flower has begun.
Slight defol on the lower branches throughout the week.
Feeding a transitional feed to flower throughout the week and into next week.
The chocolope is looking great and healthy.
Week 2 of flower.
Transitioned into flowering nutes of the General Organics GO Box line as second week starts.
Stretching an inch to 2 inches a day right now.
Into week 3 of flower. She had a good stretch of approximately a foot over the past week. Flowering has started and I have slowly been removing all lower growth and thinning for light penetration.
Have transitioned to the full flower nute schedule as per General Organics.
Smell has increased the last couple of days.
Thanks for coming by and having a look.
Thanks for having a look at my first photo period grow.
Just starting week 4 of flower. Buds starting to slowly swell, lots of pistils and the leaves are starting to frost.
All lower leaves and branches are removed.
Watering a gallon of bubbled water every second day with my General Organics feed schedule
Pics taken on day 29 of flower, just entering week 5.
Same feed schedule, buds are starting to put on weight and frost. Several branches staked on day 29.
Bud areas starting to develop a nice frosting on the leaves.
2 of my branches had the genetic mutation fasciation making both buds extra large and a ton of leaves. I culled the tops as they were under developed and the leaves would make for a weak, harsh smoke.
I’m excited as I head towards the finish. Technically half way through flower. I’m sure as the week goes on I will slowly stake all the branches I’m sure.
Thanks for having a look ✌️🏼
Continuing on my feed schedule, every 2 days with one full gallon of bubbled RO water.
Smell is increasing on initial opening of the tent doors.
The smell is a funky coffee chocolate hint, amazing. Can’t wait over the next 2 weeks.
All tops are basically tied with bamboo stakes.
The pistils are starting to fill in as the buds swell.
Continuing with light defoil as leaves shade Bud sites.
Thanks for looking everyone, please leave a comment and let me know how it’s going, any pointers as this is my first photo period plant.
Cheers!
Starting week 7 of flower. Continuing with current General Organics feed schedule for the final week then start the last 10 to 14 day flush.
Buds are really starting to pack on weight now.
Thanks for looking everyone ✌️🏼
Start of week 8 and have moved over to just oxygenated water and 1mg of mammoth P per gallon for the finish.
Buds have started to really fatten up the past couple of days.
Thanks for coming in and having a look, the finish is near!
Week 9 of flower
Continuing on just water with a touch of mammoth p
Trichomes are milky, watching closely as I think I will be harvesting sometime throughout the week.
Buds are swolen and the smell has increased in the tent.
Thanks for stopping by for a look! The finish is in sight!
My first photo grow, I went with LST with an OG Spring, with that set up and going completely organic soil with the General Organics line of nutrients, I wanted to go as simple as possible.
The Sativa dominant chocolope took well to the LST and handled all of the feeding I could throw at her.
9 ounces on one plant for my first photo.
During cure, the buds are now a mixture smell of chocolate and a sweet blueberry. The buds are frosty and sticky, very dense.
This has been cloned into 6 babies ad this strain is a definite keeper in my inventory.
This chocolope took to the LST well. The buds have swelled to massive proportions, I am more than impressed with my first dedicated photo grow. I am definitely a dna genetics fan for good!
Thank you on my girl, she’s really plumping up this week. I’m going to keep a close eye coming up on the trichs.
Thanks again on some idea on timelines
Looking forward to the finish 😊
Great work ! Beautiful plant. Keep on doing what ever it is you are doing, from what i see it's going great 👍🏼 Shame i dont have smell cam haha. Can't wait to see the end result.
Ps: I think you will find she will need a little more than 8 weeks, most chocolope phenotypes do. But who know's ! 😊
@sleeve, No problem man 😊 Yes it's more like 9 / 9 and a half weeks, sometimes more... But looking at her now, i don't think she shall need more than that. Try taking a look at her through the microscope to see where your at from time to time if you already haven't of course 😊 Buy the way, Beautiful plant ! Nice fat buds ! Great skills 👏
@sleeve, Thanks for the hot tip on the cobs. I just ordered a g8 Flowering LED to add to the closet once I hit full swing flower. I'm sure I will make the switch to cob at some point. Thanks for checking out my grow. Best wishes...
@Zannabis7,
Anytime, if you find it a bit pricey, check out cobshop.net also. You can purschase an Auto cob at a time and his light work marvelous.
Tell him sleeve sent ya.
Checked out ur page too, great work 👍🏼
Great diary just wondering if you were adjusting the light height through the grow because the stretch is huge when you start flowering my chocolope just popped so im trying to figure out when i should turn so i dont run out of head height
@yourmom, first off, thank you.
On the flower stretch, it was a good 3 weeks and yes, I had to raise my lights considerably throughout flower.
1 would say a good couple of feet overall.
Hope this helps you and good luck on your grow! 👍🏼
Looking nice ! Good job 👍 Great strain, especially when you find the right phenotype. Yours reminds me very much of a plant i use to work with in amsterdam, the chocolate smell was unbeliveble.. Good luck with the rest of your grow.
@Jocolope, first off, thank you on my chocolope grow. It is a 90% sativa so very uplifting. A great morning smoke. The jar I have is the Smokus focus escojar, has led lights and the top is magnified! It’s dope, holds about a half pound to the lids.
