Seed popped in roughly 24 hours using the wet paper towel method. Grow shop was closed due to lock down, so put the seed in some random potting mix I had laying around.

Week 2, still waiting for the grow store to open, but the seedling seems to be hanging in there alright.

As you can see she is suffering from what I assume to be nute-burn from the rubbish potting mix. But the grow store opened and I repotted her in BioBizz Light Mix and added 1ml per liter of Top Crop Top Veg and she has responded well. I also added a half teaspoon of Top Crop MicroVita to the soil to keep those bugs away. I know there are two schools of thought regarding repotting of autoflowers, but I believe it is totally fine as long as it's done properly.

I feel like the nutes kicked in instantly and I've seen a massive boost in growth. Also what previously looked like nute-burn has now corrected itself and all is looking nice and green. Although some of the pistils have begun to show, I have decided to keep going with the veg nutes for one more week. I know it is a bit late but I gave them main stem a bit of a bend and noticed it was flexible enough to touch the sides of the pot, so I've decided to try my hand at LST.

It's now week 5 and I felt that the plant had stalled somewhat. After reviewing some cannabis forums I have decided to switch to the flowering nutes. We'll see how it goes, I'm hoping the stall is because it reached the end of it's Veg stretch, but I am also concerned that the EC may be off due to the hard tap water we have here. Readjusted the LST.

Last week saw a little bit of bud development, I doubt this is going to be a high yielding plant although I have learned a lot from this grow. Still hitting her with 2ml/L strength Top Crop - Top Bloom nutes and she is drinking quite a bit. Sadly one of the branches has broken where it meets the main stem. I have propped it up with a stick and taped the broken area - fingers crossed she doesn't suffer.

Bud development seems to be going well, height growth has stopped but bud fattening has increased. The broken branch that I previously taped up doesn't show any signs of dying, so I think it might just make it. The larger fan leaves are yellowing up which I reckon means she is coming close to the end. PH balanced water from now on.

As you can see in the photos, the yellowing has well and truly kicked in. I have been flushing with 6.5ph water only and judging by the colour of the pistils I reckon I will be harvesting in a couple of days. The nutrient burn on the leaves isn't getting worse but of course it isn't getting better, but I think it will be fine.

The pistils are browning up nicely and the smell is super strong - I can literally smell it from the other end of the rooftop. Only feeding it 6.6ph water now. One of the colas shows signs of foxtailing. I'm not sure if that's due to the sudden low cloud cover we're receiving at the moment but I'm not overly concerned. Hoping that some time this week will be harvest time.

Happy Harvest Day!

Quite an energetic smoke with a nice flavour profile - definitely good for a day time smoke. The buds smell a little grassy, but once you grind it up the full and lovely aromas become apparent. All in all I found it to be quite a heavy hitting smoke, it literally put me on my arse for the first 20 minutes and then it mellowed out and I felt energetic but still stoned.

So I have chopped and hung this plant. At time of writing, it is only 3 days in the dry. I will come back with more details after it's dried and cured. In terms of growing, this strain was super easy and didn't give me any trouble what so ever. Update 3 August 2020: The buds were drying for about 2 weeks. I had a small issue with mould as I was drying in a closed cardboard box. I had to then leave the box lid open to allow proper airflow, I cut off the moudly buds and the rest of the drying went really well. In terms of curing, I burped the jar twice per day during the first week and then once per day since. The grassy smell disappeared and the buds smell like really nice weed - even more so once you grind it up.

@revdrjim, Yeah mate. If you click on the harvest week, I've written about the smoke itself. Let me know if you want any more detail.

I'd give her about 2 more weeks (maybe longer depending on weather) as there are lots of white pistils and buds still have room to fatten. Also no need to flush growing in soil, plant has to work at hard to draw the nutrients it needs from the leaves. You may be causing a mineral deficiency by flushing. I'm going to be feeding with organic nutrients till chop. No need to stress the plant right when the buds are fattening.

@@54degreesnorth, Thanks buddy, I appreciate your input. Definitely no mold which is a good thing. I've just hit her with some flower nutes and we'll see how it goes. Everything I'm learning from this grow is being applied to my second plant which is a couple of weeks younger. Actually a loupe was the next thing on my purchase list, I'll definitely go out and get one this weekend. Cheers again mate....all the best with your grow too. Shall keep you posted.

@mrgold10, I think the plant has spent so long putting the nutrients in the buds they aren't going any where fast. Salts may migrate down the plant due to a difference in concentration supposedly however if you think about it, the reason your leaves are turning yellow is because the plant is sucking the nutrients out and putting them in the buds so even if u stop feeding it eats the leaves. Feed or no feed if you can keep going (no mold) then let her mature a bit more, could be the difference between another 8th. If you see mold chop her and dry her. (Chucking the moldy weed and washing the rest). Do you have a jewellers loupe to check the trichromes? If not my minimum recommendation is to wait till basically all the pistils have darkened. Wishing you the best of success my friend!

@@54degreesnorth, Fair enough, I'm always keen to discuss the status quo. And the status quo is to stop nutrients in the final week or two. The general consensus being that flushing out the nutrients as much as possible will result in a cleaner and tastier smoke. My non-scientific theory is that by minimising nutes in the soil, you are also minimising uptake in to the plant matter (in our case the buds). But hey I am an experimental kind of guy, I will hit it with one more week of flower nutes and see how it goes.

@@54degreesnorth, Cheers mate. I had some humidity issues whilst drying in a cardboard box. I was able to get through it and they are now curing in a jar. I'll update this diary once they are nicely cured.
