Started seed in wet paper towel method and it popped pretty much overnight. The above images were taken 3 days after.
Growing in Biobizz Light Mix and will use Top Crop Veg nutrients once we get in to week 2.
Still watering gently with 6.5 ph water. It has grown since last week although I can see some strange yellowy spots on the leaves and I'm not sure if maybe is now a good time to hit it with some 1/8 strength veg nutes.
Week 3 has rolled around and I have repotted her in to her final pot which is 15L capacity. Hit her with some veg nutes and will water with PH 6.6 water later this week.
Began LST much sooner than my other strain, so I'm looking forward to see the comparison.
The last week has seen some significant growth. Making daily adjustments to the LST round the circumference of the pot. Will watch a little more Youtube to ensure i am LSTing correctly.
Pistils are well and truly showing now. I have continued with the Veg nutes and will do so for next week as well. I am readjusting the LST almost daily to keep up with the growth. So far so good.
It seems the plant has well and truly hit the Flower stage now. On Monday I hit it with what will be it´s final dose of Veg nutes and the next waterings will only be with 6.5ph water and next week the Flower nutes begin.
We are having very low cloud cover at the moment, which is a little concerning although we are still maintaining a temperature of about 25 degrees Celsius and it is still quite bright outside.
I have finally swapped over to the flower nutrients - running it light for this week.
You'll see in one of the pictures that there are some brown spots on a few of the leaves - not sure if this is a deficiency or if there is a bug problem. Will do some reasearch.
Otherwise she is looking fine and so far quite easy to grow.
The little girl has really fattened up over the last week, plenty of beautiful pistils.
I do think I have a bug problem, as you can see from all those white marks on the leaves, although they don't occur on new growth.
This girl has seriously fattening up. I've seen super rapid bud development in the last week alone.
It's also obvious from the pics that I have a problem with thrips. I can't do much about it since it is too far in to the bud cycle, but I think I will buy Neem Oil for my next grows.
This seems like it will be the final week until harvest. Have been flushing with PH 6.5 water since last week and the buds are stinky, sticky and dense.
Not much to report apart from the fact that I purchased a small microscope to observe the trichome colours.
Harvest day finally arrived. She literally stunk out my entire house while I wet trimmed.
The strain itself was super easy to grow, all i did was adjust LST when needed and of course feed her.
Last grow I thought it was a good idea to dry in a cardboard box, but the relative humidity got way to high and she developed a little bit of mold which I cut out. Due to the size of my place, I don't have an option for a grow tent or a dehumidifier etc etc
This time I was reading forum after forum and watching youtube vid after youtube vid when I finally came across the WeDryer or HerbDryer (see image) which is a fully enclosed mesh drying rack with a carbon filter and extractor fan fitted to the top. It's not the quietest thing in the world and the carbon filter did pretty much nothing for the first 2 days. But so far I am absolutely loving it, I averaging about 58%-63% RH inside there, which in my opinion is safe as long as I keep an eye on it - and of course the drying process is going to take a little longer. I left the buds on the branches because it's just way easier to flip them so they don't get any flat spots.
At time of writing (8th August) it is only Day 4 of the dry and so far so good.
Well after 7 days of drying in the HerbDryer, the stems were almost at snapping point and i decided to trim the buds off, run them another 12 hours in the HerbDryer and then in to the jar for curing.
I'm super impressed with the HerbDryer, the daily average inside it was 25C and RH of 64% - I was cautious and rotated constantly, and I'm happy to report no mould.
It's been almost a month now curing in jars and they have cured quite well. I am now storing a 58% Boveda pack inside.
