7 days after wetting the seeds. GG4 hasnt sprouted out of the soil. It was put in soil from paper towel with small radicle emerging from split seed. Not sure what went wrong. Will give another couple days and go in for a look. Rest of plants are all looking good with one of the solomatics a mutant with three cotoledons and leaf sets. Heights range from 1 to 2 inches tall.
Moved three of the smaller plants outside on day 23. They are growing much slower and more sparse than the plants indoors under the light. Day 27 in the morning I found the top of Tripple xl broken off above the 3rd node. Maybe my dog Luna hit it as it was sitting on the deck or maybe too much bend on the LST. Most of the plants are showing flowers.
Day 29 the indoor plants are growing much faster and denser than the ones outside. They outdoor plants get about 6 hours of direct sunlight. The indor plants are under a 100W Mars Hydro LED in a 2x2 enclosure. They are maxing out the space and will have to move them soon to the 4x4 and 660 watts of light.
Moved plants into the 4x4 and they are growing like crazy. will transplant into final pots this weekend.
Day 35 transplanted the 4 in the 4x4 into the 15 gallon pots.
Buds are fattening up. Solomatic looks like it is almost ready to harvest any day now. It will be a small yield probably around 1 oz as the plant stayed very small at only 13" tall. Buds are fat and dense though and have a very strong fruity aroma. Green Poison XL auto looks like it has a week or two to go and looks like it will yield 4+ oz of bud. Both the NL Auto and GSC auto look llike a week or two to go. I think yield will be pretty good on both but hard to estimate because I left the plants a bit too leafy and the buds are so fat.
Weeek 10 of Girl Scout Cookies Auto is showing some deficiency/excess or lockout but just on the upper sugar leaves of the older buds. Rest of the leaves on the plant look good.
I’ve been negligent in updating because I’ve been too busy with home maintenance and work stuff. Very easy grow. Harvested a week earlier than planned because I found botrytis around 4”-6” down from the top of the main bud. Wet trimmed right away and broke the big buds down to see if there was any more rot. Found a couple more small spots. Lost around 1/2-3/4 oz. Totally my fault as I was a bit negligent in my defoliation for good airflow. Also I had the humidity creep up into the 60’s at night with the lights out. I did not run the dehumidifier up to that point on this run. Very compact plant with thick dense buds. I am blown away with the yield from this auto, very happy with the result. Haven’t used much of the cured bud yet to give a good review. Will update soon.
This plant stayed very small from the start. 13” tall / no stretch. Buds were thick and fence and the yield surprised me for such a small plant at two and a quarter ounces. I will send a sample to the lab to determine CBD content.
Found a couple Botrytis infections on this plant for the same reasons as the GSC. Plant was very easy to grow. Compact plant at 19” tall. Very large dense buds. Excellent yield at 223 gm of dried trimmed buds. Lost a bit to the botrytis but not as much as the GSC maybe 1/4 oz. Wet trimmed and separated all the buds off the colas to look for botrytis. Very nice smell off the dried buds. Has only been curing for less than 2 weeks in the jars after the dry. Smooth vape and pleasant high.
Finally got the buds trimmed on the GPXL and weighed out at 207 gm with the humidity a bit dry at 52%. Will re-hydrate a bit to 58-62% for storage in the jars. I let this one hang dry with the leaf on to prolong the dry as the buds were all quite airy. This plant was the only one of the four in the box that did not get any botrytis.
