I can only select from a truncated nutrient list that stinks of sponsorship? What's that about? I took the time to fill in my technique only to have it disappear and only be presented with a choose from or nothing list. What use is that? Maybe you better tell me more about you before I continue with any membership here. Hold my membership until I confirm. You can reply to [email protected]

go back to that diary and at top there's an "edit week" button. you can change everything as you want. to remove a diary, you can click the "settings" button all the way at top and "edit diary" - can remove the whole thing, if you want to, but can also change title or the few parameters we set when we start a diary - lights, grow area etc... Hope you stick around :) Lots of people grow outside here. Sorry, I am not one. My backyard gets ~4 hours of light, but plenty of other people that do to bounce ideas off or whatever.

Disappointed by the size of the Gorilla Bomb again. 2 plants from ten seeds produced two small plants, while Girl Scout Cookies, planted at the same time and treated alike are four times the size! and three out of four going full term. The quality of the buds from the "little bombs" was very good and Bombseeds came thru with replacements this week so I can try again next season! Thank you BombSeeds for your customer service. Being able to converse with you here is a major plus. Any suggestions as to what I may be doing that's limiting the size? I"m an organic grower using brewed teas, top dressings and foliar feeds of Kelp, molasses, bat guano (2 types, one for veg from insect eating bats for nitrogen and one for flowering from fruit eating bats for more Phosphorus and Magnesium), earth worm castings, mycorrhizae, Fish extract and aloe vera juice. Outdoor SoCal 12 gallon tall pots, super organic soil, southwest clear hill side exposure, feed at 6.2PH, run off climbing from 200 at veg to 450 now in flower, a touch of browned tips showing max food absorption, and loving daily care.

Well, I decided to copy the first of my personal log entries into here with only a few changes to help clarify. HEAT WAVE MID AUGUST! ALOE VERA JUICE IN THE FEED WATER AND FOLIAR (AND EVERYTHING ELSE I'M DOING TO FIGHT THE HEAT/WIND SoCal is experiencing now.) Is there a way to "merge:" my two pages? They are the same grow, just my rookie mistake. Is there a directions section? I've just been winging it.

Admin: Why can't I put a new week in? I spend the time typing all my activities and am told I have a duplicate week or something and I'm stuck now so looks like todays hour was waisted. press for a new week but it then reverts back no matter what I do.

Instead of going to "Add week" try clicking on the gray "Week 8" tab. Then upload a photo and type any random word and hit submit. If the weeks sticks, you can just go into "Edit Week" and add more photos and comments as you like. I update my journal almost daily so I have no issues.

8/16 WIND STORM IN 90 PLUS HEAT WAVE; GUSTS BLEW TWO MORE PLANTS OVER. Never again let them get over 6 feet! Top and top and top or fim but these Girl Scout Cookie's are the most aggressive growing cannabis plant I've grown. Lower defoliation leaves most finished flowers over my head and the plant top heavy. Thank God there's still some virgin plants though this heat wave concerns me. I'm feeding aloe vera juice with my water and misting in the AM with Kelp extract while the GSC's were top dressed with Cavern Culture (for FRUIT EATING BATS GUANO) Sea Bird Guano and worm castings. Given just before the heat wave. During which it Aloe Vera juice in the water only (a cup a gallon). Probably lost 4 to 6 OZ's of finished flowers in these broken off branches. Any use?? Are the tricomes of these YOUNG but voluptuous flowers worth a dry ice encounter?? Please God let this HEAT/WIND STORM be my "problem of the season" and let my grow flourish through to harvest. I've worked hard every day since 3/21 to make my charges as comfortable as I could. May my efforts, like all the hard working farmers on this site, be rewarded with bountiful and powerful harvests. Amen God is a member isn't he/she? I'm lost... I came to make a new entry but this last entry seems to be stuck/ won't save. Are we just to dump new entries on top of the last one? Kelp foliar and Aloe Vera in the water to fight the heat wave here. Into the 90's for several days. Glad I have the umbrella! Flowers expanding and stacking. Spraying the pots with cold water helps cool them, done several times per day during heat wave. Continue to defoliate as leaves turn and keep pinching off new "sucker" growth. GSC's have the thickest trunks I've grown at over an inch in diameter. First sign of fungus gnats so sprayed with BT and spread fresh layer of Diatomaceous Earth after feeding today; Fish/kelp extract & molasses. Also set out yellow sticky traps and yellow bowls filled with apple cider vinegar/sugar/water/dish soap fungus gnat attract-er. High temps leaving garden aromatic with the smell of cannabis. Temps down today to 88, so plants dispersed back into the yard for better sun penetration. No sign of diseases and just small brown tips showing a little over feeding. Run off in the high 200s TDS and 5.9 PH (a bit low) The GSC's look most promising while the Gorilla Bomb matures as a midget comparatively (21" VS 102"+"!!) The GSC's have been the most hardy, outdoor extremes resistant plant I've grown and the premie's buds are excellent! The ? plants very healthy with weird blue/green coloring only 30" tall so far but flowered up nicely.

WHOA!! HOT HOT HOT!!! GOT TO 105' HERE FOR TWO DAYS! Moved plants to the garage! Huge job alone! Saved the grow though. Brought them back out yesterday the 7th as temps down now. They seem fine for the effort. The Girl Scout Cookies are "filling out". I mean the flowers are getting dense and sticky with trichomes. They are making the Gorilla Bomb, Pineapple Haze and unknown seeds to shame. Seems like a great phenotype for the local climb. (SoCal Orange County coastal hills) Very resistant to heat damage and bugs? What bugs? (knock wood) None have shown so far this year. (Fungus Gnats have been a yearly problem) It seems the claims of organic growing about bug resistance have some merit. I came to the brink of over feeding (on purpose) which they say is difficult with organic when I noticed the brown tips emblematic of this. But the GSC buds are the best looking I've grown ever. I'll get close ups soon.

I wash cut branches in a water with hydrogen peroxide blend at about a tablespoon per gallon at harvest. Then hang to dry outside till dry to the touch then moved to the drying room before moving to the wine cellar for curing. How much HP do others use? Is this enough?

Tiny buds on my 18" tall GB only net less than an ounce! Smells nice but larfy due to the heat damage even though plants were moved to a garage when hottest, it still got some exposure to the 90 plus temps this fall. Had to harvest early due to the burning and another heat wave coming next week. The Girl Scout Cookies and the unknown sativa "free seeds" are both looking better. It seems the GSC is better adapted for the heat and the sativa's (guessing by characteristics) smell the best and look the best after the least care! Nearly broke my back moving the 8' tall GSC's into the garage and out again twice! What we do for our hobby never ceases to amaze me, yet all the pain is worth the pain relief in the end (Where it hurts the most!).

Well, finally the harvest. The heat waves were the battle this year, in combination from abrasion caused when plants moved to the garage for shelter, and brushing up against the umbrella that along with the blistering heat turning most of the two tallest into golden brown that looks burnt until under the scope. Then all the brown sugar leaves are still covered with tricomes just a vanilla color. This batch is headed for ice hash. The shortest GSC somehow was green till the end and lush. So it's pictured in the wine cellar curing slowly. Lessons this year: 1/ Re-charge soil with organics. 2. Urine, best for early veg. 3. Change Bat Guano from insect to fruit eating at flower. 4. Yes, gathering rain water was worth it. 5. GSC's tolerate high calcium and magnesium in our hard water as well as the heat here. 6/ Yes, you can mix organic with chemical feeds, just not simultaneously. 7. Don't let plants get so tall again. To move the pots they must be topped early and likely twice esp. for the GSC's. 8. Organic Living Soil approach wards off bugs and disease. (Had NONE this year!) I'll report back on the results. Will try again with the Gorilla Bomb thanks to the generosity of BombSeeds sending replacements.
