Bought 5 quick one seeds and got an auto northern light for free. I germinated 2 quick ones and the northern light successfully and planted them in a 11 Liter pot. The quick ones came out without problems but the Northern light had some difficulties but sprouted. The northern light is smaller but aside from a few spots seems to be OK. Since apparently the grow shop close to my location had closed indefinitely after the whole coronavirus, I had to improvise a lot. Luckily I only germinated only 3 out of 6 so now I have time to look for proper soil and nutrients and pots before I start the next grow. I have planted them in soil I got from the garden center in buckets which I drilled full of holes on the bottom. On the bottom of those buckets I've put a good layer of gravel to let the runoff water go. One of the pots (just to test), I mixed the soil with 1/3 composted horse manure. Like I said, I had to improvise and improvise fast because the seeds were ready to plant.

The Northern Light spot are gone and begins to grow faster. The two quick ones seem to be more or less on schedule for the time. These pictures were taken 2 weeks after beginning germination. We had stormy weather and a lot of rain for a few days so I've put them in my old car for two days which I oriented to the south. Now since two days, they are back outside but the weather is a lot colder now due to the rain and will stay so for the week to come.

Hello everyone. Today I've noticed that the leaves of the biggest plant are drooping a little. I think it is due to under watering because the smallest of the 3 is standing firm. The soil seemed to be dry for a whole finger so I watered a little. Could someone please confirm?

She could have been dry if the top 3 inches were dry. If you took the pic at night she could also be sleeping.

Didn't upload last week so this is week 4. The plants are doing fine but we had a few weeks with a lot of rain so I didn't water. Since 3 days we didn't have any water and 1 plant (biggest quick one) is drooping a little, the other quick one seems to be doing fine but has a little yellow spot. The northern light is a little slower but looks good.

Overall, the plants are doing great, just on the Northern Light I have a little spot but I don't think it's anything bad. I think they are between veg and flowering because yesterday i had to protect them from a hail storm so I put them in my car. When I opened the trunk the next day, it smelled like an Amsterdam coffeeshop. I added a little all purpose nutrients (the kind you use for vegetables). Just in case, I did that with the Northern light earlier and it seemed to have a good effect. I am no pro and when I start to read on nutes, ph, calmag, ... I know less than when I started reading so for me they get their water and from time to time I give them a little all purpose nutrients.

Ok, so I didn't upload for a moment, also because I had some trouble with the website (on all of my computers, didn't update Firefox for a long time so my bad). The plants are doing great I think, they are growing good and the buds (in my novice opinion) look good. The Northern Light is a little behind but that should be normal as it needs more time from seed to harvest compared to the quick ones. I have to give almost a liter of water every day per plant because we're experiencing some heat (30°C in the shadow) but every evening the bucket is completely dry and they seem to be enjoying it. I hope the quick ones will be ready to harvest before the end of July because I'm going on holiday for a week. Luckily for me, I have a neighbor that has no problem watering the plants. If so, I will quick dry a little bud to try immediately while the rest can dry slowly.

All is still going well I think, the Northern Light is lighter green than the 2 Quick Ones but also started flowering so I'm just going to keep an eye on that one. It's one of a different strain so I don't have anything to compare it with. I'll be doing my best for her but if I screw this one up it would be a pity but on the other hand it was the free grain I got and after all, this is my first time growing so I will be happy with a result of 2 out of 3. Anyway, in the beginning of August I will be starting a second grow and hopefully with the things I've learned that one will go better (although I'm already very pleased with the results so far), it will be 3 Quick Ones, 3 Purple queens and a free one (I hope a White Widow but I'm not picky). Now for me the question starts to rise as to when I should harvest the Quick One(s). As you can see on my closeup (crappy 5MP phone camera software zoom) it starts to look promising but honestly I have no idea. Will be asking that question to the community.

I couldn't upload any pictures for a time because I was on holiday. I returned yesterday and they were looking and smelling great. We had a heat wave for more than 10 days and my neighbor watered the plants and they really enjoyed the great weather. The pictures before I went on holiday and after were very different. I think (and hope) that the quick ones are ready to harvest. If someone could advise.

I know I asked this only 2 weeks ago and the answer was 3 to 4 weeks but we've experienced a heat wave here and the buds look great and if someone could advise as to wait another two weeks or not because all the pistils seem to be brown.

If you have already done the flush & she doesn’t seem to be growing anymore as far as the buds getting bigger I would say she is ready for the chop friend! The buds look great & the pistils definitely say she is ready! Hope this helps & happy harvest friend!✌️🏼🌱
