Here we have 4 clones that were cloned about 4 weeks ago. I topped last week when the main colas were roughly 1" from the net. In just 1 week the new tops are reaching to/through the net. I am cloning tomorrow for the 36" tent and also cleaning up under the net. Flip is coming up in 2 weeks.
I noticed some light green in the leaves so I upped the floranova, it was time anyways. I plan to flip in a week, I think I can get most of the net filled by then.
I let them go a little longer than I originally planned to because I wasn't satisfied with the growth at 4 weeks. I am happy I did, the growth is impressive, I pulled these out of the net to defoliate today and give about 3-4 days to bounce back, then flip. I lost some clones recently due to circumstances out of my control so I will have to cut some clones while defoliating. But all and all I'm very pleased with these plants they take really well to training and don't stress very easy.
Made it through the first week of flower nicely, she is still stretching. I'm still curing mom for at least another week, I am more and more pleased with her as I cure, her flavor and smell are increasing moderately. I noticed a slight calcium deficiency before flip so I boosted the calmag just a touch and it seemed to help. Now I will bring it back to about 2ml./gal. so I can keep my nitrogen low.🤘
The canopy is thick, I am experimenting with less defoliation to test a theory. Some people insist that defoliation takes away weight, while it seems most people still do it to some extent. I will of course have to do some defoliation or the lower but sites will be shit. I think I will also be harvesting the tops first as they mature and allow the lower plant to mature. I'm just not exactly sure how to do that and flush.
How do you guys harvest the mature tops first then let the rest mature while also flushing? Like how do you keep the bottom fed while you flush the tops? Or can you flush then just start feeding again?

Harvest the more developed top nugs of the plant first. Harvest branches separately and let lower flowers continue to develop and mature. Go on a branch by branch basis and harvest individually as the flowers mature at their own pace. Don't start feeding again that would defeat the purpose of your flushing. We are getting real close to harvest now and the buds are fattening up beautifully. I am doing an experiment on defoliation (well lack there of) and you can clearly see that the lower growth is dying and not just under developed. I pretty much knew this would happen in a tent grow due to the canopy.
Well here we are, finally reaping the rewards of a successful grow. I think the nugs are denser than the mother plant had, but the yield was lower than expected considering the mom was 4oz. This strain can handle a lot of stress but it seems she burns pretty easy in flower from nutes.
I used to flip at 75% as well but I find if I veg to 100% the maturity is spot on for a heavier bloom cycle. Also I like the uniformity in the stretch. I did enjoy harvesting the mom, she looks pretty decent and yielded quite well. I hope to triple her weight with these three.

Good to see you're experimenting 👌. I did exactly that on my last grow and just harvested - results speak for themselves 😉 (you can check out my 'Climbing mount O.G. Kush' diary, written up harvest notes). It's really about finding a style that you enjoy and works for you. I'm now experimenting with pruning of just growth tips/weak stems and still maintaining no major defoliation. Have fun experimenting 👍
That's a full canopy 👍 keen to see how they stretch ... I usually flip to flowering much earlier (at 75% of canopy filled) then fill the canopy but I want to try different approaches to see what works best for me. Looks like mum has good genetics 👌
