I popped the girls into the tent all at the same time, week 1’s veg was under 600w light at 60cm above plants. I only gave them plain water, and 24hrs per day of light for week 1.
I can get lost in time when looking at plants grow... like staring at the flames of a fire, I think it’s something only a grower knows 🤔 Hahahaha
Ladies are starting to grow well, I moved and shuffled them around in order to get the smaller ones some more focused light... I also fed them the BioBizz Fish-Mix and Bloom at 2ml/l with some molasses and beneficial bacteria they’re all looking good and healthy, looking forward to the re-potting and moving into the big tent come Sunday 😁
Moving on up 🚚💨... the girls get some more space today 🏠, 5 liter pots with some fresh soil, more light and more air to shimmy those leaves... keeping on growing 🌱🌿🌳
The Banana Hammock showing its prowess in the middle of the first picture... looking forward to the coming weeks as I dive head first into some topping, fiming and a whole lotta fun 😅
Leading up to the end of the month the girls are looking awesome, I fed them a pretty decent nutrient dose including humates and fulvates. They responded so well to the feed it's amazing, at the moment I feed them twice per week, but only include humates and fulvates on the first feed of the week.
I also treated the girls with a systemic insecticide mixed with neem oil. I do a 7-14 day rotation of sprays (Neem, Pyrol, Neudosan) with my last treatment around 2 weeks into flower. In order to prevent PM I use Potassium Bicarb as well as Eco Buz Disease Pro on a 7-14 day rotation.
In the coming days I will be topping them, repotting them and adding an extra light to finish up the veg cycle before the switch. Hopefully they recover well enough to switch on the 1st of July!
What a week! 😅
Topped the girls on Tuesday last week, repotted them into 20l pots on Friday and today they are looking as happy as can be! I was in such a rush to get everything sorted, that I didn't take any pictures of the topping or repotting process... but, I will be following up this week with some defoliation before I head into the flowering cycle at the end of the month 😁
I was going to SCROG this grow, but feel like the Topping and LST training will help kick them into a higher gear, as well as keep them all in check! I want to accomplish a nice, flat canopy by pinching and tying down the taller branches as we go.
This week I concentrated on keeping the girls happy and healthy before taking clones and doing some defoliation.
I cleaned out the inside of them leaving a few nodes behind to potentially do a little monster cropping come week 3 of flower.
Looking at the week ahead, instead of going into flower at the end of the month I plan on switching over next week Sunday 💪🏼
This will give me time to make sure they all bounce back nice and strong for the push to flower 😁
It's been a week of some explosive growth, the girls are looking happy and are reaching up with a pretty decent looking canopy I'd say. Not much to do besides feed 'em, tuck those leaves and do the occasional pest preventative spray... two weeks time and we'll be doing the final defoliation and then it's home stretch for the remaining 50 odd days. All in all, hoping for a decent haul out of these lot... frosty nugs and dank colas please 🙏 hahaha
I managed to thin out the crowd after finding a few herms in the Simple Wedding Cake S1's (only had 4 in there, and all 4 turned hermie on me), but in the long run, I guess now the Ethos girls have more space to grow... all in all, the bunch are looking happy and next week I'll do some proper defoliation... gonna pick 'em clean and let them go from there 💪
The start of week 3 is defoliation time, picked pretty damn clean 😅 but now they’ll get to relax and soak up the light and nutes for the remained of flower without too much interference 😁
After last weeks defoliation I am stoked to see the progress in their growth, opened them up nicely and exposed all the remaining bud sites to some good light 😁... I have around 4-5 weeks left from here, super keen to see what these ladies can do 😁
Start of week 5 of flower and the girls are looking happy, starting to get a decent scent on them, definitely got that citrusy smell coupled with candy sweet... I can’t wait for it to finish now, 3-4 weeks and counting 😅
Start of week 6 of flower and the ladies are going real strong... got some decent trich production on one or two of ‘em, which also happen to smell insanely good 🤤🍭 definitely getting that citrusy, candy floss kinda sweetness to it, cannot wait to see what they’ll do in the wash as well
Heading into the final 2 weeks of flower, I’ve started the flush on them with a few definitely finishing up sooner than later... some really amazing stuff coming along and I cannot wait for the harvest to happen, got a mixture of some frosty goodness and rock hard dankness.
For the most part, there are around 4 phenos that will be ready come months end, while the others will need around an extra week or so. With some really cold weather and some hella rainy days, humidity has been off the charts... so the dehumidifier is working over time and only getting me down to around 50/55%, my goal for the final weeks of flower will be around 40-45% R/H but hopefully lower!
Heading into the final week (for some) and we have some real beauties coming through, honestly, there’s not 1 bad plant in this batch... some are definitely slightly longer flowering, so they’ll carry on a week or two longer.
The smells I’m getting from these girls range from sweet tropical funk, to grape fizz pop, with the gassier smelling girls carrying citrus undertones... the gassier smelling bunch all needing the extra week or two, with the tropical fruit funks and grape fizz pop all aiming to do it in around 60days.
I am super amped about this run, I'm struggling to find ones that I don't want to keep 😅 so I'll do another full run of the crop just to make extra sure I'm not getting rid of anything just yet.
Banana Hammock R1 is definitely one of my favourite thus far, out of all 10, I'm struggling to find phenos to get rid of because I'm so happy with them all. I've gotten the frostiest, dankest and most amazing smelling bunch out of this run and I look forward to doing some more runs in different setups to see what more we can achieve out of this awesome strain from Ethos. If you were thinking about running Ethos Banana Hammock R1, I'd jump on that s*** like hot cakes 😅
