Autos - Conservatory grow

bakes Hi all, Welcome to my first grow diary! Bit of back story - did my first grow 3 years ago from a bag seed that was about 7 years old at the time. As it was more a 'will it grow' job, I put it in a small 1l pot in my kitchen window. It got to big for that and was moved to the table, then it got bigger than me (6ft) and lived on the floor in the conservatory. No specialist nutes and a small pot resulted in about 20g dried bud, but great result considering the almost no effort! The following year I bought some Auto Super Lemon Haze seeds, these didn't go great. 1 never fully germinated, 1 got root problems and ended up being dug out washed and replanted, and the 3rd did ok. Again, no real nutrients added and no specialist soil meant it ended up with 1/2 oz dried bud. Not too bad all things considered. I wasn't in the country last year but now I'm back, I'm getting back on the horse. From my previous SLH harvest, it actually produced 1 x seed (only 1, how does that happen?!) so germinated and planted that approx 14th April. Made the error of not using good soil again (I'm a sucker for punishment) and it was doing really badly, so when my Light Mix came I dug it out, washed the roots and replanted. It's started to pre flower now and is looking healthier (although some of the leaves have deformed and look jokes!). I did notice 1 little ball/sac which I've pinched off and will keep a good eye on every morning and evening to pluck anymore / chop down if loads appear. Now for my real focus: I got some Light Mix from BioBizz and an Auto Amnesia and Purple Lemonade from Grizzly Seed Bank, who also sent me a free Blueberry Auto. Blueberry and Amnesia germinated in about 24hrs, with Purple following behind about 24hrs later. They're about 2 days in from poking through the soil and looking good. I'm growing in my conservatory and have some BioBizz nutrients to try and up my yields. Fingers crossed these go well! I'll keep y'all in the loop Happy growing!

bakes Amnesia, Blueberry & Purple Lemonade - Day 7: Unfortunately the sunny weather we were having has decided to go away - just in time for these 3 : (... Much cloudier this week and also cooler. Day temps down to 20 - 24c, night temps 17 - 19c. Shoots seem to be growing strong though which is good, hopefully the wether picks up again soon. SLH - Approx. Day 50: After a tumultuous start, she seems to be doing ok. Won't be a huge yielder, but looks like she will yield something, hurrah! Did some LST to the lower branches, hopefully will help them bulk up a bit Until next week, happy growing all!

bakes Amnesia, Blueberry & Purple Lemonade - Day 15 Unfortunately they've had about 10 days fully overcast, not much water uptake and a bit of stretch on all of them. Sun came out on the weekend so gave them a little water and with a little bit of BioBizz Bio-Grow as they were looking a bit pale. Super Lemon Haze - Day 57 approx. She's come back fighting! Buds sites starting to swell, lots of hairs, some turning brown on top. She's having a mix of BioBizz Bio-Grow, Bio-Bloom & Top Max. Sun's back out, looks set to be patchy this week but hopefully helps with a bit of growth on the little'uns Happy growing all!

bakes Amnesia, Blueberry & Purple Lemonade - Day 22 Weather has still been pretty cloudy, not as overcast though and have seen some growth. Definitely a bit behind, but we've got a hot sunny week coming up so hopefully that gives them a good burst! Super Lemon Haze - Day 64 approx. From a horrible start, she's come back and is looking great! Pistils turning orange, trichs turning cloudy, she's almost ready for the flush! Will defoliating help bulk her at all? Should I flush now? With a weeks hot sunny weather coming up, I'm inclined to give here one more feed. Happy growing!

bakes Amnesia, Blueberry & Purple Lemonade - Day 29 They've had a nice sunny week, albeit pretty damn hot (got to 34c on Thursday!) but I kept a fan on them in the day and they've seemed to of survived without too much heat stress. They've jumped up a bit which is nice. The Purple Lemonade has first signs of pre flower with white pistils coming through already! Surprisingly not too thirsty, but getting a mild solution of Bio-Grow every other water as they're in Light Mix. Blueberry and Amnesia have a slight aroma already which is lovely. No purple hues from PL yet, but hopefully that comes through in the coming weeks. SLH - Approx. Day 71 She's beefing up and starting to smell very fruity. She's been on Bio-Grow, Top Max and Bio-Bloom, had her last bloom feed on the weekend and now starting to see amber trichomes coming in on some of the buds. Will keep an eye but planning to flush middle/end of this week. What are people's thoughts on darkness before harvest? I've got a room that is very gloomy but not pitch black, could that work to beef before chop? Seen quite contrasting opinions on that topic though! Happy Growing

bakes Amnesia, Blueberry & Purple Lemonade - Day 36 Another quite overcast week, but they've all stretched a bit. All 3 have started showing signs of early flowering - Purple Lemonade was last to sprout and first to start flowering, that's Fast Buds for you though I guess! : ) Have had some bug issues in the conservatory as growing a multitude of different things. Have given everything a neem oil and insecticide soap spray, hopefully that stems the tide! They've all got a lovely little smell to them, not strong but if you get near the crown it smells lovely. Not drinking a whole lot, I surmised this may be because the weather hasn't been too great, but also I think the soil isn't getting enough air, so have drilled some holes in the sides of the containers. Another cloudy week lined up. SLH - Approx day 78 With a stated timeframe of 63 days, we're past the post but we're definitely in the final stages - terribly stressful start and not the best weather has pushed this a bit I think She took all week to go through her last water and feed and has had her first flush today. Buds are fattening up and she smells naughty. Trichomes are all cloudy with a few amber, not many and not changing quickly, so I'll keep an eye on her and probs chuck her in the dark next week - I like a bit more of a buzz to this strain. Question - do people use dark a period before harvest? I've read a lot of info, and recently seen a bit of science, but interested in peoples opinions. Happy Growing!

bakes BlueBerry, Amnesia & Purple Lemonade - Day 43 Weather a bit hit and miss this week, nice over the weekend though and they've all stretched a bit and really starting to get into flower mode. White pistils on all, PL starting to show signs of Purple - where possible I'm leaving her near a slightly cracked window at night so she has a slightly lower temp, heard this really helps to bring out the purps. Not many bud sites but let's see how they grow. Only just finishing up their last watering, will be adding Bio-Bloom from their next water. Super Lemon Haze - Approx day 86 The main stem suddenly went off and loads of trichs started going amber, almost from morn to eve! As I want more of an uplifting smoke and she had already had a good flush, I chopped her main stem leaving the lower bud sites that were still going. Bud sword weighed in just over an Oz. Lower buds still swelling, I'll get a chance to ice water and dark period before chop on these to see if it has any effect. I'll do a proper harvest post for her once all chopped. Happy Growing!

bakes Amnesia, Blueberry & Purple Lemonade - Day 50 Mixed bag weather wise, but the girls seem in their stride now. Amnesia & BB have shot up to 90cm with some lovely looking bud sites, the white pistils are really coming through now. Amnesia had the legs originally but BB has overtaken it and seems to be blooming faster - PL has tampered off at 55cm-ish but bud sites are already swelling. Lovely purple coming through and divine scent if lightly rubbed. Light bit of LST on the lower branches to get more light. On bloom nutes now and all seem happy Happy Growing!

bakes Am, BB, PL - Day 57 Pretty good weather up until the weekend, been cloudy and rainy since. All coming along nicely, good structures. Upward growth has stoped and BB & PL buds staring to swell nicely, Am a little behind but still looking good. Going by the stated flowering times Am should finish 10th Aug, BB 15th Aug & PL 27/7 - 3rd/8... haha, yeah right! I'm thinking they'll all be a couple of weeks over but will keep a beady eye on those buds. Still slight problem with thrips, more on the Am, but too late to dowse in neem spray and not looking devastating. Bit of LST on BB & PL to get the lower branches more in the light, also structurally for Am & BB as they were starting to lean. PL will need a stake soon as the main cola is making her sway when moved. Nipped off 4 x fan leaves from Am that were covering buds that LST wouldn't help. Added Top Max to the feed and reduced Bio-Grow. When the sun was out they were really thirsty, gone back to sipping now :| Mixed bag weather-wise, with Thurs & Fri hot and sunny forecast... bakes Amnesia, Blueberry & Purple Lemonade - Day 64 Weather has been pretty good - although one day it hit 37c!! This may have led to some fox tailing in the PL... All growing nicely and buds fattening up. Amnesia still not as fat, but the amount of white pistils! Seems to be couple weeks behind the others. All giving off a skunky aroma - PL super sweet if brushed BB & PL trichs starting to cloud up Happy Growing

bakes Wow, what a funny little grow and a hardy strain. Got the seed from the previous grow (just the 1 seed, go figure) and germinated it basically wondering if it would grow or yield anything. Had a very troublesome start - got root rot, dug up and washed off the roots and replanted. Started doing well so re-potted. Stunted it's size of course, but boy did it pull through! These are some hardy genetics! Split the dry in 2 as the main cola was turning amber quicker than the rest of the plant and wanted a more uplifting smoke. The initial dry was tricky as of course we had lovely warm weather after I chopped, so made drying slowly more difficult. Dried over 5 days and then into the jar once the outside was getting crispy. Careful monitored the humidity with a hygrometer and now have got some lovely looking nugs after a months cure. The 2nd chop I did about 2 weeks later and did a cold water flush and 48hrs of darkness to see if this had any notable differences/improvements. 3 jars are; earlier chop, couple of nugs thrown in a jar with a Boveda pack straight after drying and the last of the plant dried and cured as normal. 2 weeks cure so far and no major difference between them, the earlier chop is a bit more up maybe, but nothing dramatic. Handful of dense buds but mostly light popcorn and no real smell unfortunately, smells a bit 'homey' before it's grinded : l Fluffs up nice and smells better, burns smooth with good white ash. Flavour is a bit muted too, hence the 8/10 (had a similar issue with density, smell & taste before, but acknowledge this could be user error as it were : )) All in all just over half ounce from a plant that maybe shouldn't have lived haha. bakes Amnesia, Blueberry & Purple Lemonade - Day 74 Super hot week! Temps sticking above 32c in the days, down to 28c at night - sustained highs of 36+ across a couple of days!! PL has started to foxtail pretty bad, but pistils turning orange and trichs looking good. BB is getting thick! Doesn't seem too effected by the heat and is getting chunky. Am is still fattening up, also seems not too adversely effected by the heat. PL is onto just water now, she'll prob be ready towards the end of next week but I'll be away so fingers crossed she holds out. BB is on reduced nutes, she'll be on water only by the end of the week. Am still has a good few weeks to go I think Keeping a keen eye on all 3! Happy Growing!

bakes Amnesia, Blueberry & Purple Lemonade - Day 78 The weather has turned and the storms have rolled in, bits of sunshine here and there. PL is airy and fox tailing, but super frosty! BB top cola is the size and density of a couple of 8 balls : ) Amnesia main cola is like a big ol' corncob, starting to bilk out nicely too. Happy Growing!

bakes Amnesia & Blueberry - Day 92 Amnesia fox tail is extending and looking jokes! Other buds seem unaffected luckily and starting to beef up nicely. BB is real thick now, really dense buds, getting vey close to the chop. Trichs still not turning amber yet but keeping a keen eye on them. Happy Growing!
