Off to a decent start. Appears to be developing a bit slower than the African Amnesia but not concerned at this point.
Im using 3gallon smart pots and growing indoors/outdoors due to being in our winter (which is not that cold).
Let's see how she goes
She's a bit smaller than the African Amnesia bit seems to be packing on the growth more densely. Branches have begun developing on virtual every node, wbich is exciting.
I love her luscious green! Going to start a mild dose of Biob Bizz Fish-mix.
I am super pleased with this grow thus far!
She's definitely shorter and bushier than the African Amnesia but seems to have caught up in terms of rate of growth.
The last week was a challenge regarding temperature control with night temperatures, outside the tent, dropping to zero on some mornings and the single 100w ceramic heat globe was not keeping up... I switched to a 24h light cycle which managed to keep the lowest temp, inside the tent, at around 11°C - which is super low. The plants have been purched on a heat mat for their entire grow which is keeping the substrate at a respectable temperature, which I believe is the underlying factor of their continued growth despite the harsh temperatures.
I have now added a second 75w ceramic heat globe which seems to be holding the temperature above 17°C.
Day temperatures are still perfect, ranging between 24°- 28°C.
Humidity is low - between 30% & 60%.
If you actually read all of that, you're a legend!
Happy Groing
Going strong just like the African Amnesia.
The winter is surprisingly cold this year here in south africa but i think they are going to come out just fine, despite it.
Going to start swithching to a biobloom/biow grow combo, following the faze in/faze out approche with fish mix and the new combo.
Happy growing
