I got these clones about 2 weeks before the picture was taken. Only 6 of them are mine, the other 6 for a friend. So I'll only be featuring my 6 GDP babies in this diary...

This is where I first started running into problems. Pesticide burn on leaves starting to look like a secondary/micro nutrient deficiency. I used a combination of pyrol, neem oil and copper soap as preventative treatment throughout veg, diluted to half strength...

Because of the nutrient lockout I started flushing up until this point resulting in yellowing of the new growth.

Here my babies have been transplanted into 25liter pots. I used lst by pinning down the branches with pieces wire I push down into the soil to keep them in place. Also defoliated,, removing all damaged leaves and some bigger fan leaves.

This is my first grow. I got 6 GDP clones from an unknown breeder. Considering my lack of experience the genetics seem decent. I ran into a few issues during veg ie. nute lockouts due to high ph (from letting the soil dry out too much) and leaf burn from pesticides which threw me off on how to correct the problem. Here I am 3 and a half months into veg, just before flipping to 12/12. I wanted to get a decent first harvest so I pushed through all the problems I faced to get my plants healthy and sizeable enough before the flip.

At this point I stopped with LST and started using HST techniques where the canopy is stretching too far above the rest. Pistils on my GDP babies are getting much larger. I also upped my nutrients adding flowering nutes on top of veg nutes and my plants seem to love it! I'm also feeding every other watering where during veg I fed much less, about once every 2 weeks in fear of over doing it but I realize now my plants actually needed more nutes during veg! I'll remember that for the next one XD But overall I'm very happy with how my babies are performing at the moment!

I had a beautiful 7cm stretch the first 5 days of flowering and since then almost no stretch at all... Any advice please? We did get a cold front this week dropping day temps by 3 degrees(around 23°C)... Temp at lights on in morning was around 20°C after lights off all night...

Hi I typically see a stretch from my plants over the first 1-3 weeks of flowering, and and a few other g.d.p diaries show a slow progression in stretching. So I wouldn't worry about it, watch it over the next couple weeks and see what happens. The plants look incredibly healthy and a 3 degree difference in temps shouldnt cause any big problems. Some plants won't even double in height, but they'll fill out width wise with dense buds.👍

Another week past and lots has changed! I've used super cropping on top main stems in order to thicken up stems before main bud growth starts,, hopefully increasing bud size and yield... I've also upped my flower nutes by 2ml and lowered veg nutes by 2ml. I built a frame to raise my pots on to make watering much easier and more efficient. Height wasn't an issue as my babies are still 27 inches away from the lights. I defoliated some of the top growth to let more light get to the lower bud sites... Happy to see a room filled with bud sites! Looking forward to see those buds starting to grow in going on to the 3rd week of flowering! 😁

Should I defoliate more at this point in flowering or wait until a later stage when buds start to form? Also airflow is good on undergrowth and sides but is my room overcrowded?

Hi there! You can remove little bit more of those lower leaves but don't take too much 'cos there wont be that much leaf growth anymore. Some people likes to defoliate at the day 21 of flowering so maybe you can let them grow for a week more and then defoliate little bit more?

Is it fine to super crop my plants now during week 2 and 3 of flowering to thicken up stems in order to support bigger bud growth and to open up the center of the plant for better light penetration?

Need help identifying if I've got a problem with flowering... I'm 18 days into flower since I flipped to 12/12 but it seems like my pistils aren't developing as I'd expected and see on other grows... On some pistils/sugar leaves the tips are turning black...

Every strain will be different. I'm assuming the coloring is genetic. Other than that they look mad healthy. I'd say just give her some time she may just be a late bloomer. Hopefully this helps. ✌️

3 weeks into flower and the girls are looking good! 😁 No signs of deficiencies and healthy all round. I normally alternate my feeding(water-feed-water-feed) with 5l at a time. I get a lot of run off but that way I can cleanse the soil of any excess salt buildup and replace it again by completely saturating the soil with nutrients,, seems to be working well so far! This past week I watered with clean water twice in a row to flush out some of the veg nutrients also marking the switch to only flowering nutrients. I'll also be supplementing with molasses, fish emulsion and micro nutrients to make sure the plants have everything they need... I defoliated quite a bit,, lollipopping and removing popcorn buds lower down not receiving as much light. On the smaller, thinner branches I removed all bud sites leaving only the top node to hopefully still get a dense flower on there. I wanted to install a scrog net,, mainly to support the branches when buds get heavy but I think it's a little too late for that as my plants aren't stretching as much anymore... They went from stretching 2 cm a day to less than 1cm a day at this point so I took some advice from @BloomBuster to basically supercrop all my branches without bending them over to strengthen them... Ready for the next week and planning to make a couple of upgrades to my grow box. Didn't see much of a progression in the flowers this past week,, so I'm hoping going into week 4 the changes will be a little more prominent! 😁

Going into week 4 aven't seen much happening lately since the stretch slowed down... Pistils have been growing a bit more,, I could say slightly more than a week ago but not by much. The girls are all very healthy overall,, I dropped my feeding off to only feeding flower nutes, seagro and molasses. Let's see what happens in week 5!! 😁

Low number of pistils at end of flower week 4. I've got two chees plants in the same room with a lot more pistils than the GDP, plants are healthy but the GDP seems to be a bit slow! What might the problem be? Seems like they won't grow into fat, dense buds with so few calyxes

Looks okay to me. In general, bigger size is better thand more numerous flower. If you want more flowers, you should feed addtive with cytokinin like brown sea weed extract. I do that any way. Supplement your regular regime with molasses helps ith the flower size. Should be a safe addtion without screwing up pH and the reast of the stuff. 2 ml/liter once a week until the final week. This should help get the C/N ratio up. GDP strain is notorious for havign hermaphrodite flower. So, you have to inspect it at least twice a week. Good luck

Starting week 5 I can see the girls are becoming very frosty,, the look healthy as can be except for a bit of light burn that happened after I lowered my lights.. After raising the lights as soon as I noticed,, it doesn't seem to be getting worse! Fingers crossed 🤞 Lowering my feeding as well,, only going to feed bloom nutes along with molasses from now on... Excited for week 6,, can't wait to see buds fattening before my eyes 👀

Going onto week 6 of flowering I can see the buds starting to get some shape on them... On the tops I can see the calyxes starting to swell... Unfortunately I don't see much bud growth yet,, still alot of sugar leaves but they look frosty as hell I'm still on my normal watering schedule,, only now I have taken away the fish emulsion organic nutrients and I'm only using bloom nutes along with increased amounts of molasses... I increased the amount of molasses I used week by week for the last 3 weeks to around 25ml per 5l. I'm going to continue on this feeding schedule for the next 2 weeks until I start the flushing process,, aiming to finish in a 9 week flowering period so flushing will start at the beginning of week 8... The smell is getting stronger day by day,, I love the smell of the GDP! When I open the box after lights on it's very potent with a undertone of grape sweets.. It really smells amazing 😁 And the purple!! The purple is becoming very prominent and looks the way it smells,, my basic photography skills do not do these girls justice! 😂 What a great experience so far!! 😁

Sad to say not much has changed and at this point I doubt I'll get any fat/dense buds on these babies... Smell, colar and frost is fantastic,, no complaints there! Also I did my last feed before I'll start the flush in a few days.. Trichomes just starting to see a couple going milky here and there but still mostly clear... I've taken a few samples roughly a week ago and without curing the smoke was great,, surprisingly smooth for how leafy the buds are but the high obviously not there yet,, gotta wait for those trichomes to mature 😅
