So far so good. my first grow I botched horrifically –– used almost all potting mix and just a little perlite. Didn't drain well and I overwatered, multiple times a day, in plastic pots. Switched to fabric pots, 20% perlite, 30% coco coir, 50% organic potting mix. Watering about once or twice throughout the day, but about 100ml (shot glass) total in the day. Waiting for the soil to get totally dry, hardly even moist, around the seedlings. Have yet to water the area outside a small 1 inch diameter. Plants look exponentially better than my first attempt (which resulted in the stunted strawberry cheesecake that's along for the ride. Maybe she will recover and give me a tiny cola as a reward, we will see. Nice dark green hue to them which I never seen in person before. Almost purpleish. Amazing. Ran into a couple minor issues, like me not packing the soil enough in the fabric posts, so the plants and soil have been sinking the past few days. Added some more volume to support the stem today (Day 4) and lightly packed the soil mix. Considering getting Flora's trio of nutrients and CalMag. Want to make sure these girls make it to Week 3 on their own before I get even more products. They're destined for outside, but considering keeping one inside the grow box, retrofitted vertically, since the summer heat here can push 105˚F. I figure on those days I'll take the girls in regardless, but I'm hoping to harden them to withstand 90˚ heat. Really hope this round works out. Being super careful this time around –– just terrified of overwatering again. My coco mix has been great so far though. Soil is always fluffy unlike my first round with just potting mix. Was like mud cake.

Does it look like the new leaves on my 7 day pictures are slightly yellow? Or is that relatively normal with new growth? 20% perlite, 30% coco, 50% organic potting mix. Been really light handed on the water. waiting until soil is completely dry before watering more (1-2 days)

This is common in explosive new growth.. as you can see they start to darken at the tips.. if it continues on without them changing darker then you might have an issue but for now man they just look like happy fast growing buds! get it.. fastbuds.. *lol* happy growing friend! 👊

You know had a lot of difficulty week 2. Girls objectively hardly grew. Felt like everything was going wrong. light burn, issues with growing. everything was stunted. got hydro trio and things are looking better for week 3

MUCH better improvement this week –– started nutrients and it was a huge game-changer. I was listening to the advice I read that you only need to add nutrients when deficiencies appear –– I wouldn't recommend listening to that for new growers. I tested with one girl nutes and she SPRUNG off, then added to the other 2. The last 4th plant youll see is one I thought was a total gonner from my first grow, but miraculously her purple bronze / burn leaves turned green after nutes. Shes TINY but starting flowering! how exciting. maybe ill get a gram hah. (I followed General Hydroponics feed schedule for nutes, first at 1/4 strength, then 3/4th strength throughout the week, watered twice)
