Another strain that I feel would excel in a indoor grow but I still wanted to try her out and see what I can get to do outdoors, she’s definitely not as big as her twin sister but still looks great
Whoa! Flowering at five weeks?! My plants are barely five inches tall at five weeks. I grew CP two years ago (outdoors in soil) and remember that the flowering period seemed to go on for a loooooong time. Have you found that, too, JH?
@misterb,this is my first run with CP so i really don’t have a base to draw from but I’ll be doing another cycle here soon and hope to get bette results
i second what Mrtgrows says. 26 inches has been the max height I've managed with this strain (topped once and let her do her thing) Got one growing outdoors now (see diary) and its bulking up big time, but only 17 inches tall, topped once and lst until week 6. Dont expect exceptional yields with this strain, or really strong smell even after harvest, but very good quality bud.
Pizzaman, My experience with critical purple has been similar. I love that they are compact, because I grow up on my flat roof and need to screen the plants from the street behind my house. They smell fantastic, skunky with a touch of mint. I top my plants also and cp does seem able to take abuse. Your point about the quality of the bud was also true: good quality and very strong. I make mine into an alcohol tincture and canna butter.
I have grown 7 cp and have a ton of success with training. Both lst and hst. You can check out the cp I have in my diary that is only lst. I put the cage on after about a month. I have another one that is 8 weeks old on Friday that is almost three foot that just started to bud. That one was topped one time. In my experience if cp looks healthy and has not started to bid yet you can do a lot with them and they have all responded very well. Hope this helps with future yields happy growing looks great.
