Allright, another week has passed. It wasn't a bad one.
The weather was nice. A few days of clouds and some rain here and there, but overall it was nice.
It is still in its stretch phase I assume since it has grown about 10cm this week.
I've ordered neem oil to spray against the pests on the plant. It only arrived last thursday.
Since I couldn't wait to get some bugs off I sprayed a very small ammount of biologic bug pesticide which I also use on my vegetable garden early in the week. Trying to spray the leaves only and not the flowers.
Later in the week when the neem oil has arrived I used that. Don't know if I have to spray once more though. The kind people that answered my questions about the bugs advised me to spray 3-10 times. But the plat has only seen 2 sprays (1 pesticide and 1 neem oil).
I do not know if the plant is in better shape than last week. I do not see any bugs underneath the leaved anymore. But the leaves seem to be more damaged. I will need to keep an eye out for that.
I've also moved all plants to a makeshift greenhouse on the lawn. Pictures will follow next week.
They've always been on my driveway, but the downside to that is that I have to move them to shelter every time there is some forcast of rain. And afterwards move them back on the driveway to give it the maximum ammount of sun.
With this greenhouse I can just let them sit there and don't care if it will rain or not since they will be sheltered from rain, but will also catch lots of sun!
The only thing I am havong doubts is that the greenhouse of on my lawn and it will be even more prone to bugs. I've sprayed the floor of the greenhouse with neem oil aswell. Maybe that will help.
We shall see. Until next week!
I came back from a three week holiday and noticed some leaves have some sort of mold or bugs underneath them.
The leaf of the picture is the worst one.
What is it and what should I do?
I came back from a three week holiday and noticed some leaves have green spots scattered all over them.
The plant only had water and no nutrients for two weeks.
Is this due to nutrient deficiency? Or should I be worried?
Reposted the question because I forgot to add a picture.
Some parts of some leaves are looking like they're burnt or something.
Is this due to the sun? Or do I have another problem?
It has been extremely hot last week (around 35 degrees all week). And the plant has been in direct sunlight (I've moved it into the shade yesterday)
If you let the soil dry too much the plant starts uptaking more nutrients so that may be the issue, overdrying rather than overfeeding, try adding some straw or hay or whatever plant material on top of the soil to keep the soil more chill.
That's over feeding, also called nutrient burn (burnt tips and edges). See how dark the leaves are? that is not normal, leaves should be light green, not dark, that's another symptom of over feeding. Stop feeding it, and give it plain water.
Dear Fatanq,
She is growing beautiful! Good luck! 👍💪
As Your Lady is flowering try to change the description of the week. The other thing is that it is very risky to spray neem oil or other pesticides on flowering plants... I am a rookie but that is what I hear from every response from veterans.
Anyway, I wish You all the best with Your Lady. I would like to add that I love Your long and detailed reports on Your grow! 👍
