(24/04/2020) For the first ever time, I decided to pop some beans this weekend and get a start on a guerilla grow. Having selected our strains and genetics that are suitable for the guerilla outdoor grow And to our taste , we potted the germinated seeds into these small decomposing Pete pots - ideal for avoiding transplant shock and having to re-pot. We Mixed up all purpose bio soil (bought from a local hardware shop), added in 5L of coco coir, and around 2-3 Tablespoon full of bonemeal and fish, blood and bone (bought from Poundland - same brand as found in Homebase). Filled up 9 Pete pots worth of soil and tipped the rest of the mixture back into the soil bag. Poking a small hole into the top of the soil no more then an half an inch- 1 inch deep, sprinkled a little mycorrhizal root growth powder in each one and popped the seeds in, tap root down, and covered loosely. Put all 9 pots into a shallow cardboard Box (as you can see in the Pictures) I’m their respective rows. The plastic bags stuffed between were mainly to keep them sturdy when moving around the windowsills but it also doubled up as a sun protector to stop the pots from drying out on those super sunny days! They were put on a sunny windowsill from dawn-sunset. I’ll be bringing this diary up to date so apologies for the spam posts! Check out my Instagram And YouTube for the latest @four20guerrilla

This week was amazing to see the growth really start. Felt like a little kid again when observing the first pointy leaves that come through! To think these 9 are going to provide us with the most beautiful, versatile plant on our planet, is just awesome. Eradicating the need to fuel crime by putting money in dealers pockets, and taking full control of the wonders I’ll be inhaling and consuming. They didn’t need much attention day to day, just moving windowsills morning/afternoon, and watering when the soil/pots looked dry. Thankfully haven’t had much trouble with them, although one of the FastBuds original AK’s isn’t looking so great. She’s not as developed as the others as you can see. She’s not received any different treatment or water or anything different at all to the others. Maybe I need to investigate more. I’ve decided to try stay as organic as possible with this grow. With that said, I’ve been brewing up a nettle tea to make a good nitrogen feed for the girls. Nitrogen is said to be needed most during veg stage, so preparing as much as I can.

This week is an important one! We transported these beauties to the outdoor plot. 5 the first time, and 4 on a second trip 2 days later. All in all, transfer went smoothly. We’ve put in plenty of hours getting that site prepared and sorted for them so it made transfer a lot easier. They all look great sitting in their new homes. Before burying the pots, I gently removed the bottom of them - which isn’t necessary or needed but I wanted to give them the best chance for the roots to spread out and grow like crazy! The great thing is that the Pete pots will decompose anyway, allowing the roots the ability to pass through easier. They will grow through the pots if left long enough if they don’t decompose. The site prep took a couple solid day’s, involving chopping a large dead branch off a tree, a lot of pruning back horrible spikey trees and branches and general ground amendments. In the soil we used a 60L bio organic soil, with 10L (In total) Of coco coir, along with a good pouring of both bonemeal and fish, blood and bone. Chicken manure pellets poured in the bottom of each hole and topped off the soil with some extra too. Given them all a good feed of the nitrogen water to water them in with before we left. The only major issue we had... trust me luck, was me accidentally stepping backwards half onto the mutant AK, splitting the pot and spilling the soil out. She was quickly held together with her soil as best as possible, and planted into the ground! What a bloomin’ disaster. Safe to say... I’m not expecting much from her. I’m keeping her running, as I’m curious to see what and how she’ll yield. I’ve read mutants can sometimes become more potent. Despite yielding less, which is expected, they’re said to develop more of a potency - or so I’ve read.... anyway, we’ll see!

(10/05/2020) Planning ahead for the cold snap set to hit England! After the nice weather we had for a while, the cold snap forecast really worries us. We were quick to plan ahead tho and a little evening trip down with some garden frost blanket to loosely bundle around the bottom of the plants, eased our worries. We put half cut 2L bottles over all the ladies to help keep the air temp around them, warmer. We gave them a light feeding of nettle tea, but with all the amendments we added to the soil and some rain predicted, we eased off for the week. Time for their genetics to prove themselves!.... fingers crossed.
