Just realised that I sowed a completely different seed from what I wrote down before, so apologies for the change of strain. I'm old and stoned, I get confused easily!😲
I've got a couple of Dinafem and Dutch Passion plants on the go (cookies autoflowering & Auto Mazar & Auto Brooklyn Sunrise indoors and auto cheese XXL
and a Critical+2.0 photo in the greenhouse.
The Cinderella Jack is going in the greenhouse eventually.
Soaked the Auto Cinderella Jack seed, which was very small, in tap water for 2 hours, as I've found that autos often get their seed casing stuck during germination. Soaking the seed helps to soften the seed casing. Sowed it into pre-watered 15L of Bio-Bizz All-Mix and put it in my veg room with my Brooklyn Sunrise. I expect it to be up in about 3 days.
I put a pastry cutter into the soil where I am going to sow, then I make sure that the area inside it is just friable soil and not sticks, lumps a,d perlite. Then I put the seed in at 5mm depth, put a tiny layer of soil on top, give it a small spray of water and leave it.
Just over 2 days and she was up without getting caught up on the casing. Now she gets zapped by my veg light until she flowers and then it's out in the greenhouse with her.
She looked a bit off colour when she germinated. It's still visible but she's improving. Quite a small plant: most of mine reach right across the pot by day 14 so I expect this small problem is to blame. I hope growth speeds up a bit. If anyone recognises the symptoms then shout out. I'm not too worried, I had the same thing happen on an Auto orange Bud but it stopped after a couple of leaves and the plant did fine. it might be that the Bio-Bizz All-Mix is a bit strong for it, although the majority of my plants do fine.
This plant is due to go out in the greenhouse when it starts flowering and as a sativa I'm hoping her buds might do better out there than an indica seeing as she is going to be finishing in September and things may get a bit damp. I've got a BEAUTIFUL Dinafem cheese XXL out there now and the smell in the greenhouse when the hot sun is on it, is incredible. I've also got a photo out there, a Dinafem Critical+2.0 (a freebie from them. Thank you!) which I am hoping will half fill the GH and totally fill up all my jars!
Indoors I've got a Dutch passion Auto Mazar drying (great big hard buds - really recommend it), a Dinafem Cookies Autoflowering (stinking the place out deliciously) an Auto Brooklyn Sunrise just coming into flower and a Dinafem Auto OG Kush just about to germinate (I will do a diary I think). Lockdown is keeping me pretty busy :) - a great time to stock up. Just glad that these two seed sellers are still in business during the plague. Key workers!😅
Just thought I would share - just had a big hit of Auto Lemon Kix and I started to waffle.
Leaves on Cinders are still a bit patchy and growth is not quite fast enough but she's doing ok.
Bent her over on day 14.
Delivery from DP. 3 autos - Night Queen, Colorado Cookies and another Mazar. I'm smoking my last Mazar now. It's pretty good but I reckon I can do better next time.
Day 20 - Still patchy looking but growing quite well. First proper feed coming up so let's hope that sorts her out.
Day 21 - Gave first feed put her out in the greenhouse.
Day 28 - The patchiness is a genetic defect and isn't affecting growth too much.
Day 22 - She's now out in the greenhouse where she can grow to her heart's content. Hopefully the big LED in the sky will cure her of her ills and give us an adequate harvest of that high THC bud we've been promised!
Day 25 - Growth has taken off what with this beaming hot weather. New leaves are looking healthier. I've removed a few more panes from the greenhouse to get a good breeze going through. She's still not flowering but it's only a matter of a few days now.
Day 28 - Growth is full on and she's greening up properly now.
She's doing really well and the genetically caused patchiness to her leaves when she was young has not affected the newer leaves. Perfect colouring on her now and she's starting to smell real good.
I know full well that this plant is going to get bud rot. All my other greenhouse grows have and I can't see this being any exception. The weather is humid and showery and she's bound to succumb.
However, next to her is a MASSIVE Critical+2.0 and I'm reliably informed that they are mould resistant. If she comes through I'm looking at 500g -750g and I won't give hoot!
@DinafemSeeds,
Greenhouse for this one. Company for my Dinafem critical+2.0 photoperiod which I hope is going to fill the GH. I shall top it a couple of times and give it's roots plenty of room to run!
My only concern is the dreaded rot, but if this heatwave continues then this year could be mega!😁
