Two days after solution exchange pH was rising up to 6.7. Corrected to 5.8 with DutchPro pH- (38% nitric acid). I will wait a few days and if the coloring doesn't show more healthy green, i consider adding micronutes with biobizz topmax.
I found that illustarion of deficiencies/excesses and a def of S seems to fit very well (pic 8).
My tap water contains Ca 35 mg/l, Mg 3.5 mg/l and S 35 mg/l. I didn't found an ideal value for S, but Ca/Mg should be ~3, so figured out how much magnesium sulfate i should add for that ratio, while considering the amounts of Mg in the other fertilizers. I hope i did this correct 😌
I will see how the recover behaves this time without biobizz bloom and less topmax.
The needy left plant got a nice rehab. Lets see how she responds to the flower-solution.
They are a bit short for flowering, but i'm aiming to cut some Monstercrops out of them, which i will veg for an ideal SoG. My light isn't strong enough anyway and i have to wait for the Migro 240W.
I'm impressed. They stretched 1/3 of their total hight in only one week. The transision went well. As you can see in pic 10, the left plant shows her sex since day 42. It's a good start for W7/F2 😊
A lot happend in the last week. I was on vacation and they stretched more than expected, so there was some light burn. Also the ventilation needed a correction, so lower leaves got sick. But overall both survived it well and as a reward i upgraded the light fixture 😎
Meanwhile the left plant is about 5 days ahead and her main cola shoots fast. Right grows much more evenly with at least 3 side colas overtaking the main one.
I'm looking forward to cut some monstercrops in this week, as soon as i can spot flowers on their lowest pairs of branches.
The pH dropped three times in a row below 4.0 over night. The left plant has a lot of issues with that and is stunned. Right is doing ok and was overtaking left in growth but not in bud size. The red coloring could appear because i didn't use any pH-down (H3PO4) the last week and always corrected the drop with a few liters of non pH-regulated fresh solution or only tab water. So it could be a lack of phosphorus. Today (d64) i changed the whole reservoir.
I added Sodium Bicarbonate to get a buffer against the acidity. At defoliation unfortunately i ripped off a bud from the main left. Not an easy time for her. But hey, still a proper girl in comparison.
It was a busy week and i was careless with ventilation. When i discovered rotten spots, four buds where already infected. Three on the left and one on the right plant. I cut off the colas below the rot, did some defoliation and corrected humidity and ventilation. I hope it won't spread again for the last 1-2 weeks for ripening.
So i finished my first hydro run. Overall i'm proud to get it this far. I pushed them to their limits with my diy setup, mixing oganic/mineral nutrients and by burning them with a 5 times more powerful light. The results are still fine. I learned a lot and i will try to reach some more of the potential of this strain in the next run. Therefore i prepared 3 clones. 2 of the right and one of the left plant. Happy growing!
