Very excited about these Wilson! Zero seeds from Oni Seed co. They are a new release and I have heard great things! Lineage is (Banana OG X Papaya) X Tropicanna Cookies F1. Papaya is one of my favorite strains, and I am a huge tropicanna cookies fan so I imagine this strain will be right up my alley. Seeds popped very quickly and are growing much faster than any seeds I've had so far. I am looking forward to this grow!!
Skipped a week or two since I was busy. These are coming along nicely. Tight node spacing and a thick stem. They are all looking uniform so far. I am keeping them in a humidity dome for now as long as they fit.
Unfortunately this week I neglected these and they grew against the top of the humidity dome and burned the top leaves. They are taking a while to bounce back so I decided to top them now. I was planning on topping soon as they are at about 5 nodes, and this topping was able to get rid of the worst burned leaves. I am having trouble keeping the humidity in this tent up, and solo cups are not ideal for water retention. I also have a 2nd humidifier on the way so that should solve that. I am going to keep them in solo cups to keep them growing slowly until I have space in my flower tent. Once I am ready to start prepping them for flower I will move them to 3 gal pots.
I have started training these girls slightly, but nothing drastic. They basically stopped growing and started looking super unhappy on the 31st so I decided to transplant to 3gal pots. These seem to be very sensitive plants. Lower leaves started yellowing and basically no growth on top. They were slightly root bound but nothing that should have caused such a drastic reaction. Hopefully these pots help, but if not they may need more humidity.
This week was rough for these plants, I went away for a couple days and they missed out on some watering. They had many yellow leaves on the bottom when i returned, and the leading stems had barley made any progress. I watered heavily since then and they seem to be bouncing back. Still have some colors on the leaves but I think they will be okay!
The wires I was using for training started cutting into the stems, so I took those off and started to use 3d printed LST joints (will include picture next week). They are great so far!
They are doing great! I have been watering with straight RO lightly every day, and they seem to love it. I added some soil on top, and planted white clovers. I am using 3d printed right angle LST clips. They work pretty well but eventually ill have to use bonsai wire for these. I am going to try to get these very well trained. They already smell funky and when I rub a leaf between my fingers it smells like bananas! Super excited to see how these turn out.
Again not much to say! They are getting pretty tall so I think next week I'll train them a bit more, try to get some evenly distributed tops. They are coming close to showing sex, I have my hunches on a couple of them. Starting to smell more pungent!
