Seeds popped and placed into 8 inch FloraFlex PotPro pots (about 1 gal in volume). The medium is the provided coco coir blocks, hydrated in distilled water + cal mag. PH at 6.5.
Great growth. Some signs of heat stress (?) on leaves (some leaf edges are curling upward). Lights moved 4" higher to accommodate. Humidifier added and humidity levels while lights are on are maintained at 55-65%. I also started feeding ArmorSi + CalMag every other feeding. I will mix the ArmorSi with nutrients in my next reservoir batch (did not want to add ArmorSi to my current batch and mess with nutrient lockout or PH swings).
I have a theory that my lights are brighter on the left side. Two different strains are growing taller/faster on that side. It could be due to the elevation of my base (it's slightly tilted to allow draining). It could be my humidifier is on the right side and the humid air mass is obstructing more light from that side (I directed a fan at it to help disperse it more evenly). It could be genetics. It could be that my KingBrite QBs are unevenly lit (seems unlikely that I would've hung them in such a configuration + got the luck of a draw). I'm using a non-scientific Lux meter app to read the lux and the plants are receiving slightly more on the left side (35k-40k) vs the right side (30k-35k). I've adjusted the positioning of the lights to try to balance at 35k lux. At this point the left side plants will most likely continue to out pace the right side due to their headstart.
Are my leathery looking leaves okay? Some have leaf tips that stand up and others seem to have more leaflets than a standard cannabis leaf. I also have some lower leaves (first set of true leaves) that are resting on the top of my FloraFlex lids, should I trim these (see journal)
I dont quite know what you have going there for a system but your ec should be at the 5.8 to 6 range until flowering starts if your soiless. 6 to 6.3 when the flowers have started developing. I would check your runoff ph and ec to see what's up. Cheers
Is this the characteristic ball on a stick that indicates a male plant? As the plant gets taller that feature is raising up with the branch, not remaining at the "V" intersection.
