I’m not sure what I’m after but I’m starting to see some nice growth, new foliage and little discolouration in the leaves so I think the roots are setting in nice . I generally wait for the top inch of soil to be dry before I water. I try and water as much as possible or deep as they say !

I’ve watched a lot of video about topping and I’m giving it a go and it seems to have worked well I can see new flowing sites developing. tomato holders are helping stopping the plants being trashed by the dog I also put pavers around the site to help retain moisture Basil and chive for its natural pesticide properties

The tomato stabiliser is very useful for guiding the branches outward for getting light to the center for the topped areas. And foliage that isn’t receiving light or discoloured or nibbles on I remove. When it rains in the day I skip a day with the watering wait until the top inch is dry

We have had some very hot humid weather and the girls are loving it they seem to grow about an inch a day I think they are loving their location with over 12 hours of daylight. A lot of the foliage is getting attacked so once a week In dry weather I spray the plants With diatomaceous earth to slow the activity it seems to have worked. I also cut any leaves that don’t look great. I couldn’t be bothered to tie all the branches down so I pushed them down until I heard little cracks they all sit much lower exposing the center topped area. It’s my first time at high stress training I hope it wasn’t too much . Once every 2 weeks I rack over the soil an inch deep just to get some oxygen and get the cut leaves mixed in I added 10 hand fulls of composted manure to the soil. We had a lot of rain this week so I didn’t water them for 5 days I plan on letting them recover from the high stress training
