I have just transpoanted them today. This run with dehum. so hopefully i’ll not lose anything to mold. Last run pulled 140 dry of my dinachem but lost 20gr to mold so 120 total. I love this plant so gonna do a dedicated diary eventhough i have 4 other plants going there at the back. Those are from seed and early finishing sativas so i think they’ll be a good fit with dinachem. I topped them once and planted 2 into each pot because i want to see what they are like. My first run with them so i don’t want to invest much time incase they turn out shitty (not very likely). Anyway this one is about dinachem.
They are over the transplant shock and showing growth. In a week they are gonna be substantially bigger and in about 2-3 weeks i’m hoping to flip. Fingers crossed. Also got an unknown seed amazing how it survived this long in the soil i haven’t found any seeds in my buds, ever. So it’s most likely from my last seed run which was almost a year ago. Anyway things are looking fine and it’s gonna pick up pace from now on.
Pics are from yesterday. Today i set the blumats up and they are ready to be flipped theoratically. I’m just gonna give them one more week. Anyway they look ok to me. Dina always looks blotchy and spotted. It either has tmw or its a genetic shit.
Either way i love it and it produces very well but i think i’ll let this one die and not gonna take any clones. I have about a 1000 dinachem seeds now in the fridge. S1’s of this beauty. So i think i can find even a better one as this particular plant was found in a single pack. Yeah, thats what i’m gonna do. So now this is a farewell grow. Hurts my heart.
Flipped them today and trying this schwazzing stuff this time, i’m really curious about the results. I think my other sativas (not pictured) are getting more light then they would like but sativas should love it right? Don’t know they kinda droop after a while. As for dinachem it grows happily everywhere and i love it. Lets count down from 70 for fire.
Some deficiencies showing up so gave it a good feeding. One for bloom and one for veg 2 days apart. Now just waiting. They bounced back very well from the schwazzing and gonna do another defoliation next week. It’s just a matter of finding a good feeding regimen after the heavy defol. Still, looking good enough to me.
Did the 2nd defol. not very extreme tho. I’ve seen much brutal defoliations online. Those schwazzing videos scare me :)
Since it bounced back very well from the 1st one i feel much confident this time. And the yellow leaves were deficiency. It really perked up after some nutes and a tea. I’ll probably brew another one. Homemade fresh ewc is the best microbial innoculant you can find!
And and and i love my dinachem! Such a resilient plant. Even with spotted leaves and everything it grows and it’s happy.
Missed one week but it’s fine. Just been busy. Gave them a very good feeding an hour ago. They seem fine. The pic is from yesterday, i pulled some more leaves and some budlets but not many. I just feel bad plucking perfectly good budlets but if i get mold again i’m gonna slit my wrists :)
Some yellow leaves and some calcium def etc etc. All good, they are progressing well. Gave a feeding yesterday. Should have staked them probably we’ll see. Overall about 4 weeks left.
Looking very good. Don’t mind the blotchy leaves and all as i said its something this gal does. Probably tmv or something. The one up front seems to be affected more severely. But still they produce well. Next time i grow dinachem it’ll be from S1s of this beauty. She was a gift and her offspring will be too :)
From what i see at the moment i can say schwazzing (or the thing i did, gentle schwazzing) did produce positive effects. I can see the colas are thicker than usual. Not dramatically thicker but it’s still early. On the other hand i’m growing a pure sativa in another pot which could have used some more fattening up. Always vertical with that gal :) if it turns out to be a keeper definitely gonna schwazz it next run.
Branches are bending i should have staked the bigger colas, gonna do it soon. I’m just lazy. Fed them an hour ago with a balanced mixture. A little heavier on the micros and potassium.
Dinachem loves feeding. It it the best feeder i have. Hard to overfeed (but not impossible).
And one other thing i love about this plant, all solid nugs. Very little fluff. I don’t even lollipop this.
Going great gave them their last meal. Gonna harvest soon, 7 to 10 days. There are 4 other plants in the tent tho and one is not ripening at all. Supposedly early finishing pure sativa and to be fair the other pheno has ripened well. Oh it’s a big plant too. At least 4x big as her sister. But not ripening, it looks like it’s in the 4th week or something :(
Well anyway, dinachem is close. Branches feel heavy too. And buds are very sticky. Lets see what kind of yield i get. I’m sure i’m not gonna be disappointed.
By the way i made a mistake by registering this as a 450w grow. My gwp is going to be abysmal. The thing is only 225w of it goes to these 2. Tent has 2 100x40cm trays and on the other tray i got 4 other strains. So these 2 plants are actually growing under a pathetic 225w diy led fixture.
Mind blowing :)
Air-con said no more. It no longer works and it’s not very possible to get it fixed very fast. So i’m keeping an eye on it. Humidity is around 65. Very high for this stage so i took down the bigger tops because i dont want to risk mold.
The lowers are still in the play, many white pistils and room for growth so i think this partial harvest will even be better if i can keep them going for 10 days. Maybe another 30-50 grams which is always nice. I’m not sure whats hanging there i haven’t weighed it yet but they felt dense and heavy when i was cutting them. Gonna weigh them once they are ready to be jarred.
