HSO - Gorilla's Breath IndoGh

Super excited to try HSO's Gorilla's Breath!!! This is going to be interesting... Set up a grow box inside my GH to capitalise on temp stability and RH. Wednesday 1st Soaked seeds for 18h in luke warm ph balanced water. Both sank after only a few hours and one opened up after about 14 hours. Planted both in Soil/coco/vermiculite/perlite mix. Thursday 2nd 1 popped up after 36h and was moved to the grow room. Left the other in the germination station to take it's time. Friday 3rd 2nd one broke through after another 24h. Also moved to grow room. I am calling this day one Saturday 4th Both started chlorophyll production as the catiladons turned green Sunday 5th 1st set of leaves become visible and kink is fixed on the leader. Had some cold temp issues in the GH which cooled the room. Fixed in the afternoon Monday 6th Monitoring grow space, all parameters good Tuesday 7th- Thursday 9th Just monitoring conditions, fianlly have them stabilised and the girls are picking up speed. 2nd one caught up to the first Friday 10th Watered the ladies and took day 7 pic Light dimmed at 50cm away, temps and RH stable. Next week will be transplanting to final pot, dropping lights and start feeding.... Let's GO!

Though week, we had 2 major cold fronts move through dropping the temps to 15'c in the grow room and - 1 in the greenhouse. After all it is the middle of winter here... I think this stunted the growth a little as very little happened. Also might have lowered the lights too early which burnt the catyladons, or I am just over reacting :-) I know the ladies will bounce back and can't wait to see it. Stay tuned and happy growing

So I finally figured out why the catyladons yellowed so fast & the growth is so slow... When the leaves started turning I thought maybe a N deficiency... Nope... I burnt the hell out of the ladies as my lights were too low... Rookie mistake... I raised the lights a few cm and repotted them in a last ditch effort to save them. Fingers crossed I hope they bounce back.... Humbolt, I trust your amazing genetics won't let me down 👍

Finally seeing some growth! 😃 Definitely strong genetics and hardy AF! I know these ladies have been badly stunted but I have time, space and big plans... They're about 2 weeks behind where they should be but I'm expecting some explosive growth coming soon. Stay tuned for this learning journey... A smart man learns from his mistakes... Yes please Hoboldt! The girls are making a comeback 💪 Good growth this week with some minor smells starting to creep out. Feeding them twice a week with a seedling solution and regular pH 6.5 water. Might start training next week just waiting for the stems to thicken. Good luck for the grows!

Great grow week overall. Started measuring from leaf tip to leaf tip and she was averaging 2.5cm growth per day! Started LST with a soft fluffy tie. Very close internodal space but I am shire she'll stretch out nicely. Feeding seedling nutrients with every watering every 2nd day Let's hope the amazing growth just gets better!

Great week overall Had another cold front move through dropping temps but hopefully in the last week before we hit spring in SA. Watering every 3rd day and feeding twice a week now still with seedling fertilizer. LST doing very well with the main stem fattening nicely. Decided to FIM the top growth this morning I am a little worried about the close internodal space. To be honest I know I have too much blue light but It's an exciting learning journey. Check out the internodes on a new GB I germinated. Entire plant is 5cm tall... Have a great grow week everyone!

Great weeks grow! Sadly I think my FIM was a real miss... The bottom is bushing nicely and the lateral growth definitely expanded. Just can't help but feel I clipped leaves that could have generated great growth... Regardless she is growing at a phenominal pace! Nutrients... Feeding every 2nd day along with watering due to the increase in Temps and drop in RH. Monitoring carefully for burn but looks like I got it just right. GB 2 was topped as the laterals did not want to develop so I am motivating her a little. Also LSTd her 3 days after the top. Should I defoliate some of the big leaves to shed light on the lower branches? The smell is getting stronger and the ladies are loving life! Have a great week everyone!

A great weeks grow! Spring has finally arrived and we had our last cold. The one GB is EXPLODING 🤯 I defoliated one or two large leaves to expose the lower branches which I begun training on. Feeding has been slightly increased. Watering every 2nd day and feeding twice a week. She is starting to creep over the edges like she knows SGROG is coming ☺️ Small GB recovering nicely after her top, just had a small bug problem. Oh and the smell is definitely present 😊 Hoping for another great week! Happy grows everyone!

Hi All! This week honestly the photos speak for themselves... Phenomenal! Tied down the branches a bit more to flatten the canopy. She picked up within 2 days and covered at weeks end. Lights are now 40cm away and I think Im going to maintain there as the growth is amazing! Feeding with every watering every 2nd day. 2nd GB has joined the party and finally come along. Hoping to get some height out of them this week in prep for scrog. Have a great grow week all!!!

Following the final topping of all the the bud sites I did some more training to try and flatten the canopy. Now I just need her to stretch a little so I can soon bring in the scrog. Reduced the feeding slightly due to the temps climbing to the 30'c mark and the ladies being super thirsty. Increased the oscillating fan speed a little to help with the temps. The smel is getting more and more potent ☺️ Hopefully will have the scrog in by end of the week. Have a great grow everyone!!

Hello everyone! Another amazing weeks grow! The ladies are stretching nicely now that they are just getting love and had a stress free week. Increased feeding slightly and started a foliar feed every second day to help with the heat. Greenhouse hit a few 30s this week with one 35 c 😲 Despite that they are looking great! 2nd GB has definitely made up for lost time. I know i said I'll set up the net this week but I wanted to give them at least one pampered week. Net is definitely going up next week along with some more training. Happy grows everyone ✌️

Hello all and welcome back! This was a fun week with the chores done ☺️ Finally put the net up and gave the one lady her first defoliation. Second net to up up tomorrow over the other and will go into flower next week. The tops are looking beautiful and I amended the soil again with chopped fruit peels and some organic manure to keep the earthworms happy. Still feeding with each watering every 3rd day and foliar feeding every 2nd so 1 dry day. They are drying fast now with the temps constantly at 28 or above and RH drops quickly when I don't foliar feed. Thanks for checking in and happy grows ✌️

Hello All and welcome to another update! They had 36h of darkness and was then flipped to flower 12-12. They stretched a lot this week, almost 5cm! I put the second net up on GB 2 The next day she was supercropped and then given a lot of love! Soil ammended again with some fruit cuttings and watering a little more now. Thanks for checking in, hopefully next week we'll see the first signs of flower Happy grows everyone ✌️

Hello and welcome back Everyone! Week 2 of flower, the pistils have arrived and the ladies are still stretching ☺️ Did another and ptobably the last round of LST. Feeding twice a week and switched to flowering nutes mid week. Added a few bananas n peels to the soil to help the worms. Very exciting time and discipline is key. Wow wow wow! An amazing weeks grow with the ladies putting in their final stretch whilst the flowers are coming on nicely! We had a heatwave which I caught too late and the ladies had to bear a 36 degree day 😔 Luckily they made it and bounced back beautifully after misting just after lights on and again right before bed. The smell is starting to build nicely and I know it's my neighbours new favourite 😉 Ammended the soil again and added a few more worms to power the last few weeks. Fingers crossed and go ladies go ✌️

Hello and welcome back all! ☺️ It was a steady weeks grow with the girls slowly starting to stack the flowers. I had to raise the lights just a tad after they completed their stretch and suffered a little bit of light stres. Luckily I caught it very early. Ammended and top dressed the soil with some vermicompost and some egg shells, only fed aquaponic water. I am a little worried over the strength of my lights vs the size of te ladies but we'll do what we can with what we have. Have an awesome week and stay safe ✌️

Hello All and welcome back! A great weeks grow with the flowers slowly but surely starting to stack. Temps hit mid 30s a few times this week 😔 I am misting daily now at lights on to help cool them down and keep RH at 50%. Did a light defoliation but more of a clean up to remove the last few growths that won't reach the light. Also opened the shaded bud sights. Hoping to see some flowers pack this week and the ladies stay happy. Have a great week ✌️

Hello and thanks for checking in! The ladies are healthy and loving life! Checking daily and just moving leaves around that cover bud sites. They get a foliar feed every 2nd day to help with the heat. Added some ground up 🥚 shells to the soil and probably the last CA boost for this run. Fingers crossed the hope stretch is in sight...
