Welcome to my my first diary. I've never grown an auto but scored 2 free White Widow Auto beans from Seedsman for paying in Bitcoin.
I’m a fairly new grower and very keen to learn what I don’t know so please feel free to chime in with any advice along the way.
Hopefully I'll get this plant to harvest in my veg tent while I'm vegging some photos for my flower tent. I dont have a great track record with seedlings so we'll see how it goes. I only popped the one bean so I have another I can pop if I kill this one.
Here is how the first week went
Seed cracked after 36 hours in damp paper towel and plastic bag.
Placed the seed in a jiffy starter pellet.
36 hours later it had broken the surface.
24 hours later showing tap root from jiffy plug.
Potted up to 7 gallon fabric pot. Mostly coco with some perlite mixed into the middle and top in the hope that it’ll help me not to overwater it while it is young and fragile
I always find these early days very stressful and I only really start to stop worrying so much once they have have their 3rd node established. Only then am I confident I wont kill them
Day 7 - noticed slow grow and some light stress showing on some Blue Cheese clones that are in the same tent. Raised light to 60cm and wound it down to 180W draw. Hopefully that'll help...
Nothing much to say this week. Upped the nutes to EC 1.4. Plant seems to be handling it fine. Will push it up a few points again next week
I'll try to take a pic each day to fully document this grow. Pretty boring pics at the moment though.
Thanks for stopping by 😀
I start it ussually when plant have at least 5 nods, then i bend her heavily first time.
Later you tuck leaves and bring side branches to light, when those mature - tie them aswell.
You can check my First and last auto diary or 8 sisters, there is plenty pictures, video and explanations .
Good luck !
P.s. lst girl before watering, less broken branches.
Everything was going well until I attempted LST on Day 20. Oh well... it should heal... just hope it doesn't hurt my yield too much.
Thanks for visiting
The repair job did not take so I’ve popped another bean.
There is one node left on the stump of the first plant. Thinking I might hit it with some colloidal silver and try to make some pollen.
The growth from the one remaining node on WWA1 is looking good. I'll probably make some CS this week and start spraying it.
I havent killed the WWA2 seedling yet. Happy days😀
WWA1 is looking good and stressed after almost a week of Colloidal Silver spraying twice per day. Hope to see some male flowers form in the coming week.
WWA2 coming along nicely.
Not much more to say this week. Hope next weeks update is a bit more interesting with some male flowers forming
Seeing the first sign of balls on the CS sprayed WWA1 plant. Not sure if I should keep spraying? Anyone know?
I managed to bend WWA2 without snapping it
Continuing the LST on the new plant.
The CS sprayed plant has started to produce pollen sacks. They’re really small though. Not sure if this will be successful. I have some GA3 I might try next time I want to try to reverse something.
Very happy with the CS treated plant. It’s popping naners all over the place. I’ve isolated it in a little clone tent under a little cloning light. Hopefully it gets enough light to ripen the naners and give some pollen.
The soon to be mum is coming along nicely. I’ve spread it out a bit with LST. I’m expecting it to transition to flower this week.
CS treated plant now has many open pollen sacks. Will be collecting pollen this week.
The second plant is a lovely messy bush of a thing and flowering has well and truely started. I’ve done minimum defoliation on her so far. I’m thinking a good defol when she finishes stretching might be a good thing.
Thanks for stopping by
She’s really started to power along this week.
Such a bushy plant. My first auto so all I did was bend her over and try to spread out any secondary tops. I didn’t remove many tops at all. I don’t think I’ve done a good job with the LST...
Flowers are coming along nicely. In the coming weeks some of them will be selectively hit with pollen I have now collected from the CS treated plant.
Thanks for dropping by
She’s been coming along with no issues. I dusted some of her lowers with pollen this week. I wasn’t all that carefull about it so I might end up with more seed than I had planned.
Seems like it’s stressed from the silver. Good sign that you colloidal silver really contains silver cause store bought shit sometimes doesnt do anything at all.
