I started this grow by planting the seeds directly into the soil as opposed to going down the two plates route etc...as I was having too many failures with the plates, so I've moved to planting them as nature intended and so far having 100% success rate. Growing two lovely fems in Lemon Kush from Zambeza and Blue Gelato 41 from Barney's Farm. Both super popular at the moment. I'll also be growing some companion plants in the shape of lavender and lemon balm which are coming with an order from Royal Queen seeds, so this is a first in that respect for me. I've planted them in a combination of manure, compost vermin and clay stones. As far as the 1st weeks grow is concerned, they sprouted and gained a little bit of height, they look healthy and that's all I can ask for at this point. I'll be topping them both and trimming as I go. They are further from the light than I would like, but that will change in a couple of weeks once an almost ready plant comes down. Stay safe growers.

All going well, an old CFL bulb I was running in the tent with the grow lights died, so replaced it with one of the corn cob style LED numbers. The BG41 is absolutely loving it, growing really well and looking good. I'm going to give the BG41 a topping later today. So far so good. The Lemon Kush is under both the LED grow light and a CFL, but considering how well the corn cob style bulb is working I've decided to buy another so they can shine right beside and above my plants. The Lemon Kush has grown a couple of little brown marks on its leaves, and twisted a little. It seems to be reserved to just those two leaves, so not concerned as yet. But something I'll keep an eye on. Will be giving this little LK plant a topping also today.

Blue Gelato is powering along nicely, I topped both plants just after I posted the pics last week, the Blue Gelato has responded amazingly, the Lemon Kish is currently struggling along behind. Blue Gelato is directly under the corn cob LED light whereas the Kush and is under a CFL and so far their is no comparison. The Kush is looking a little bit runtish in comparison to the BG41, however I'm. Sure once it gets under it's own corn cob LED (over and above the Kingbo LED grow light). I was considering topping them again, but I reckon that would make it very tight for space. Still not using nutrients, and if I decide to I'm probably only going to use Tomrite.

Blue Gelato is still powering along nicely, topping it never slowed it's progress for a second, it's looking good and strong with nice bright leaves. The Lemon Kush in the other hand is still a fraction of the size of the BG41, the topping really slowed it's progress, it's added a bit in the last couple of days, but at the moment it's a tiny little twisted leaf runt. I'm sure in time it will power along nicely, but as it stands it's definitely struggling.

Blue Gelato is powering along great, looks great, nice shiny dark leaves, when it's trimmed or topped it seems to push past without slowing down, not quite as much beef on it as I would like, so I'm tempted to maybe get nutes involved. The Lemon Kush is having a major nightmare, the pot fell over, so it spent a day buried in its own substrate, which I guess triggered it into flowering at its tiny little size, it's like a little Bonsai tree, mini buds forming and everything. The thing I can't understand is why it's not re-veging as it's still on 18/6 light schedule. Anyway, I think it's ship has sailed, but I'm continuing to grow it, never seen a miniature weed plant before, so I'm very intrigued.
