So she is big for 2 weeks, I have a second plant I seeded at the same time and she more than twice the size of that. This obviously makes me very happy as she is almost ready to top and still 3 weeks of veg left. I generally only planned to top once but if she recovers quick I may give her a second one.
What are people’s experiences topping in a 5 week veg cycle?
Hey folks,
Day 15 and I decided to top her and begin LST as she is at the 4 node mark and looking healthy, everything went smooth with the surgery and I just use wire for training bonsai trees to train my girls, it’s not better or anything I just happen to have it handy.
I pop my head in my tent in the evenings to check the progress on the LST and if it’s needed I pin down a few more side branches and move a few leaves for maximum light coverage.
Day 19 and I have notice that I have overtrained one of the branches and it has started to split at the base, it still had a good ridgednes about it so I just remove the training wire and let it heal, you can see the split in the overtraining photo.
Day 21 and it’s looking like my injured branch has made a full recovery, she barely stopped growing actually and is quite a bit ahead of the rest, I think I may top her in the coming days to allow the rest to catch up.
Late update this week as I was having problems with the site last night, some of you may have had the same issue?
Anyway thanks for reading!
Until next week
Day 22
The branch that I had previously overtrained has now made a nice recovery and is getting a bit taller than the rest so I decided to top it.
Not really any other major things to report on. Just been jumping in every couple of days to adjust training wires and take some photos.
Going to veg for one more week.
So I’m pretty high while doing this entry, and well, it helps if you read following in a sports commentators voice, out loud if you want.... but just do it in my head. I hope ya’ll enjoy.
Wellcome back to another episode of Jack Herer Volume 1. This week marks the end the veg season and what a lovely week it has been.
Day 33 saw a bit of drama when a slight trimming took place, removing the lower more shaded stems so all that energy can go to the more promising contenders above, with a slight adjustment of the training wires allowing for maximum light coverage and a more outward growth.
Day 35 and it was all about the feels, as mentioned earlier it is indeed the end of the veg season and seems the earlier decision to trim the lower stems has payed off as the remaining stems have seen some nice growth.
We’ll see you again next week for the first episode of bloom season!
Thanks for watching 😉
So that's the first week of bloom and she a has stretched a fair amount I would say, she is looking nice and bushy and i'm happy with the progress thus far.
I don't really have much else to report, I haven't had to do much this week, just watering every couple of days and that's it really it.
On a personal note this is my first grow where I have managed to avoid any nutrient burn :)
Been a very busy week for me so haven’t been on here much, but I will always make time for and entry.
Very happy with the lady, she almost doubled in height this week alone, growing 18cm. The first of the pistols have started to show as well making me very happy, and I have removed all training wires as they aren’t needed for the time being.
No issues to report as everything is going smooth, just need to keep her fed and let her do her thing.
Really looking forward to the next couple of weeks.
Happy growing!
Another quiet week.
She is coming along nicely though, plenty of pistils forming at the bud sites.
Hopefully that’s the stretch over as she is currently at a good size.
Apologies for the lack of pics this week I was in a bit of a rush.
Day 56
It has been a good week!
The buds are starting to fatten out nicely and crystals have begun forming on the leave surrounding the buds. I'm very happy thus far and looking forward to watching the buds develop.
I've noticed a little bit of nutrient burn on some of the lower leaves but nothing to get to worked up about, I think for the coming week I will just give her some water and she should be grand.
Thanks for reading
