Hey, buddy! 👋 I tried using LED spotlights, and with the right placement in the tent, they can be quite sufficient! 👋 I think the first thing you need to consider is the light level in your tent. You should check the light level when the lamp is on and adjust its position or placement! Install a free app called "luxmeter" from the app store on your smartphone, wipe your phone screen well, and clean it from grease and dirt. The light sensor is located on the screen part, which often rivals individual lux meters. Check the light level above the plant. Adjust the lamp height so it doesn't heat the plant to shock levels but stays within the lux range. Install the app, and you'll remember me more than once, bro! It'll be like a compass for your lighting! 👆 Effective light level ranges, starting from planting the plant: Day 1 (250-500lux) Day 2 (500-1000lux) Day 3 (1000-2000lux) After five pairs of leaves, full vegetation (2000-20000lux) Flowering (20000-100000lux). Try not to exceed 99000 lux. Otherwise, you'll have problems due to too high a rate of photosynthesis processes in marijuana! 👆 Good luck, buddy! ✊😇

studente In the second week now, I noticed the plant growing extremely tall. When i planted it to another big pot, i noticed that the plant ztarted developing leaves sooner. Maybe it was root bound (Later on, i found out that it is better to plant auto in big pots). So yeah, i am still have by the amount of lumens i am getting from the 15 w floodlight. I hope that the spectrum are also in the right place. Yeah, any quick idea to decrease the pH of soil from 7 to 6?

Wow. Thank you so much for the reply. I have been playing with LUX meter app and my light. I was bit skeptical about the lumens that I would get from the 15W but as it turns out, it receives well enough ppfd. Still skeptical about the spectrum i am having.

Hey bro! 👋😇 Glad to see you've already mastered the app! 😇👍 To analyze ppfd, a special spectrum analysis device is needed, and its price is quite high! Such devices are available in laboratories studying spectra! So in our case, for the average user, analyzing the lighting of the cultivation area is enough to talk about the effectiveness of artificial lighting! 😇👌 Good luck, dude! ✊😇

Got it. The light that i am using is baltimore 15w rgb light but i am only using the white light. Not enough lux on the rgb lights. I don't know if they are so good, why are not they sold enough? The lix measures around 20000-30000. Btw, How do u lower your soil ph from 7 to 6?

what are you talking about? did you use google translate to paste the question here? doesn't make any sense what you are saying. 10w is for sure not enough to grow a normal plant. go to the shop and look for CFL bulbs if you want to keep it low budget. There are 2 CFLs that you need. One type for vegetation (ask for white light 6500k lumens) the more "w" the better, and for flowering 2700k lumens bulbs. There are different CFL dual lights but this is another conversation and you could get them at your local hydrophonic store or online. Regarding the pH, if you are growing in soil, don't worry about that. Make sure you water with enough water, as much as you will get some run off in the bottom tray, so the plant will not get salts build up in the roots. best of luck

studente Found some white small maggots in the soil. Googled to find turmeric, garlic good to get rid of it. I don't know but looks like these small maggots turn into small fly. I saw one coming out of the soil and flying away. Give me suggestions to get rid of them.

Found some white small maggots in the soil. Maybe they are the reason why one of the leaves' tip turned brown. Googled to find turmeric garlic could get me rid of them. It does not seem to be working. Give me suggestions to get rid of them.

The most common method for root maggot treatment is biological/organic control. Common organic cures for root maggot include spreading diatomaceous earth around the plants and using natural predators of root maggots, like Heterorhabditidae or Steinernematidae nematodes or rove beetles, to kill the root maggots.
