Hi everyone, Iโve plant the last clone in soil and now there are three of them.One is very healthy and start showing some pistils.The other two are not so healthy and one is always droppy.So I put two of them together in one pot and monitor their growth.If they grow well, I will separate them.This is my first experience of cloning and I didnโt use any cloning hormone formula.I just trimmed them 45Deg angle and put in pH-7 water.Roots are emerged around 2 weeks from trimmed and put them in a dark and cool place.For now,My clones are still in progress.Happy growing...
@Bikoo,My mother plant is re vegging in a small 3gallons pot.So just in case if I canโt transplant, I have to keep her alive.Thatโs the reason for me to make clones.Happy growing... peace โ๏ธ
@Phenohunter88,Thank friend, I am also thinking about that one.But I donโt dare to risk Nitrogen toxicity in flowering stage.So I am not adding any Nitrogen supplement and let them use whatโs left in the soil for Nitrogen. โ๏ธ
Greetings.... 1st off, thanks for answering my question about moving plants. The cutting I took and put in the dark for 2 weeks made a beautiful clone. 8" and I was going to put it into veg but I had already changed light cycle to 12 x 12 in my tent. I kept the clone in the tent for 12 hours then put it under a small LED lamp upstairs... did fine until I placed it in the window during a very sunny day and it drooped terribly. I did not know it would develop a bud like you got, I was just playing around and it accidently fell in my tent and broke the main stem. If I cut clones off now while plants are in flower stage will I get similar to what you got? or should I wait and put the plants back into veg after harvest. I cloned the same way you did except I used a half of a solo cup to hold a piece of plastic wrap at the water line (about 3") and poked a small hole for the stem. I did not use any Aloe or cloning gel.
@That70sDude,
Thanks for the comment growmie.I would suggest to put clone under vegetative stage for atleast 4weeks before switching into flowering.I've only got one tent and since her mother plant is flowering in the same tent, as a result I get this cute clone.... ๐โ๏ธ
Congrats on your clones . Give them two weeks or a month veg and you will get big harvest. Amazing how a small clone can make a nice size nug. Enjoy ๐
I read your method and it makes me even more supprised that my home made ice cube tray and sandwich box lid worked when I read what you used. ๐๐๐
I guess I got lucky..
Very hard to be 100% To me the soil looks like it doe not have enough perlite or another type of drainage substrate to support with proper drainage, and the plants is retaining to much water, roots need to have access to Oxygen to help with photosynthesis - I tend to go a bit heavier, about 25 to 30% perlite to the soil, you may also consider a compost tea.
๐๐๐Great Progress with your farming๐๐๐
@MrJones,Yes Bro.. I think you are right on the point.They look like lack of oxygen.But my soil is mostly coco and some fertilizer. Another thing is I think because of under developed roots.So they canโt get enough oxygen supply for themselves to thrive.
Glue some sticky traps on the inside of your pot right above the soil line, try to go all the way around, I have seen this be very effective, also to me and this is just a visual, your soil looks like it could use Perlite in it, I do about 60% Ocean Forest, 20%, Mother Eart COCO Coir with perlite,10% Worm Castings and an additional 10% Perlite - drains nice, slowly moving over to dry amendments as well. Still learning my self, keep up the great farming brother!
