Jolan tru. This is another Romulan clone diary. I had ran this strain at the end of 2019, and that clone struggled through some conditions, and didn’t really take off. It also struggled with pests. I flowered it, had to substantially budwash, and it still turned out to be freaking tasty! I understood the hype. Romulan also has some historic meaning to me, back in the early days of buying cannabis online.
Meanwhile, I cleaned out my clone box, discarded failures, ... and found a Romulan clone that had rooted! What a surprise. Great find. Lucky 13 Seeds only sells regular seeds, so I’d like to hang onto the Romulan female line. It took awhile for it to recover, even after transplant. I have since transplanted a second time. Its just been in the background for weeks haha. I am including both root shots.
Today is day 82 for this clone. My veg. tent is hung mylar from my unfinished basement rafters, with everything sealed to keep the heat in. I was ready to reveal my new veg. tent from grow diary scratch, with dual LEDs, but of course the fans cut out on one light which delayed the creation of this diary. Turns out major maintenance is needed on the cheapie light, easily turns into more then fans. Easily repaired by my Jack-of-all-Trades friend, but these things take time. For now, I have put 64 Watts of fluroescent light up in addition to the 300 actual Watts of full spectrum LED. It drives me nuts to keep going back to the fluroescents, but at least I have it in times of need. I have included the damage photos my friend sent me.
The most recent soil mix was used for other plants and was 30 parts HP Pro Mix: 5 worm castings: 1 ASB Greenworld Sheep Manure Compost: 1 ASB Greenworld Black Earth: 1 ETI Greenhouse Gold Seafood Compost: 1 Green Gaia mineralized phosphate (guano): 1 alfalfa meal compost: 1 pulverized egg shells. It has been in that new mix for two weeks.
I applied some steeped veg. tea yesterday. I just took 2 cups of blood and bone meal pellets, 2 cups alfalfa meal compost, 2 cups worm castings, 1 cup Myke Flower mycorrhizae, and 1TBS. of blackstrap molasses and mixed it with 20 Liters of water. I pulsed the mixture with a concrete mixer attachment and a power drill, every hour or so for a day to aerate, and let it sit over night. The next day I diluted it around 10:1 parts water to mixture.
