Eight more OGKZ going in, really like the flavours from this strain. Hopefully with the room functioning correctly, the results should be even better this time. Still deciding which medium to use, either stick with coco or go back to rockwool?
Coming on, slightly slow start than I would have liked. Decided to go with coco again this time as the the seed sprouts need new homes. Next time I will do a round of cuttings, half in rockwool and half coco and then test to see which I prefer taste wise and grow wise.
They all seem to be at about the same stage. I will need to top 7/8 as one has managed to split naturally. All healthy and looking forward to seeing how these run this time.
Moved them into thier big pots and got the hydro system reinstalled with a few upgrades. Also added another 400w HPS and the tent now has carbon filters for the air intake. Still gotta figure out drain for the waste removale. Everything seems to taking to the bigger pots, they have a 60/40 canna coco / perlite mix. Will see how this goes but I will return back to rockwool for the next run just to test, or if I can get a good clone from this run, I will run back to back test maybe.
Getting used to thier new home and taking a minute to get settled. The runt is still looking waste and if I had more of that strain I would have replaced it already. I am taking no chances this time and will be using Methord one as prevention in a foiler spray the entire time.
Plants have really started going crazy in the new conditions. Time to flip and get this show in the road. Adding the molasses this time along with an some lurpe flowering organic nutrient boost.
Crazy temperature switch, gone from 30s to under 20s in a week so just dialing it all in. Everything is looking really good even the runt has had a second lease of life. I just defoliated so hopefully these extreme changes wont create any stretching or stunted growth. Need to find a better air con unit that adjusts the climate more efficiently and precisely.
Everything really bounced back from the defoliation, got a real nice canopy developing. Lots of nice bud sites developing and the entire tent is covered.
Defoliation again, moved the branches in specific places to maximise the light coverage to the bud sites. Having some problems with my Blue Light PH controller, keep finding it asking for "help". Turning it off and on again seems to do the trick for a while but it's incredibly annoying and has been causing a few issues with nute take up, I have adjusted it to accommodate and it seems to be working and looking alot better.
All looking really good, super Zkittlez smells coming of some of the plants. Dropped the ph level in my tank last week by a little, it seems to have made all the difference. However, the Bluelab unit is still playing up, but havnt had any crazy PH when I have discovered it.
Starting to stink and crystal's starting to shine. Been systematically defoliating and pulling all the new growth below a certain point. Everything is slowly starting to swell and some crazy nice purple colours coming out already. Looking forward to seeing this round finish.
Everything is looking bang on, buds are starting to swell like crazy, nose on it all is through the roof. A friend also has some ogkz finishing, but in organic soil, will be very interesting to compare my hydro, his is looking amazing right now aswel.
Everything looking amazing, smell is insane. Looks like there are 3 dif phenos a purple, a more zkittlez leaning one and one that looks like it's been dipped in sugar. Counting down the days untill chop day and cant wait. Should do a lot better than the last run quantity wise. I feel I could prob run all 12 buckets in the tent and add an extra light in the middle. I will see where we are at when I choose the round.
Did last week with just boost and cannazym now just water. Monitoring the ec level on the way out and waiting for it to drop to an acceptable level. The highest was 1.5 stil but lowest I think is down to 0.7. Debating getting some gourmet mineral water for its final flush, anyone ever done that before. Would be interesting to see if affected taste, especially with the standard dechlorided tap water I am using now. The plants crystal's are insane, smell is crazy, buds are swelling up hopefully next week they will get even plumper. 🤤🤤🤤
All looking amazing, had a couple days were the humidity went mental and I didn't notice, so got a little mold developing on couple of buds. Removed the affected buds and sorted the hummidity. Fingers crossed that's the last of that. Now I see these wierd little bugs swimming in my run off. Not seen anything like that before, so I am hoping its not a larvae from something more problematic. Just waiting for those trichs to go brown then Ima cut it all down, gotta be soon now I am sure.
Still checking every day, trichs seem to be going cloudy with a few just starting to turn brown. Absolutely stinking and super sticky, you can really see the difference in the colours now. Cant wait to chop and smoke. 😋😋😋 Still got those wierd little creatures swimming about in the waste, I think they must be some kind of root aphid or something. I thought my plants would be ready by now, so I haven't really taken any further action against them, however, I may get some peroxide and finish them tomorrow for good.
Trichs are cloudy with a few brown ones, put it into 2 days of darkness, so I am hoping they will be at the optimum ratio by then and then I will chop. Cant wait, smells are amazing and stinking out the room. Super sparkly with crystal and has crazy coverage, like they have been dipped in sugar. Will hopefully get a good return from the trim which I will kief and make into rosin. Stay tuned for my next update.
The OGKZ flower was amazing. Colours and bag appeal straight away were on point. Followed by those crazy OGKB Zkittlez terps, it's a very commercially viable strain. The trichome coverage was like it had been dipped in a bag of diamonds and sugar.
Was good run with really nice results. However, will be changing things up a little next time, will post the new set up asap. No more ogkz seeds left, but have some amazing new HSO strains to run.

@MrBlocc420, Its a very strong plant. I had many issues at the beginning and it has caused many problems for me on going through the grow. However the plants have weathered the problems, it stinks and look juicy as. My next round will be a lot more stable environment wise so I will have more of a grasp of how this plant acts. Just make sure you flush correctly so you get the flavours that come through.
Are those bugs staying alive while underwater? They almost look like termites to me. Don't know for sure.

@@GreenGrows, yeah they wiggle about a bit and then move at crazy speed about 20mm. They looked like they were reproducing whilst I was watching them. Very strange little creatures, still no idea what they are, will see of any are left in tomorrows waste. I think they are a root aphid.
