Day 1 Germination stage. Water and paper towel method.
Day 2 planted in solo cup with micronutrient soil mixed with perlite 50/50
Day 5 poked through surface, transplanted in final 20Ltrs pot with micronutrient soil mix with perlite 50/50
Day 7 slight light burn, move light further away
Turn air exchange system on, humidity level was getting a little high, reached 77% a few time. Watered twice during the week.
Pistils were visible halfway through the week.
Major changes done to setup
Drop humidity to 50%
Switch lights to 12/12 on veg+bloom
Added inflow duct from outside to keep temperature and humidity in check
Circulation fan on 24hrs
Exhaust fan on 24hrs
Watered plant 3 times during the week
Tucked some fan leaves down to allow more light exposure, performed slight removal of fan leaves, about 10%
Everything is looking good this week. Added soil on top of pot as I could see roots showing above ground due to excess pull I did when performing LST. Will not pull so much next time.
Finally found a way to take nicer pictures.
1-Starting the week strong, plant is looking good. Not sure if the buds should be bigger or not but according to the strain it’s a 70-80 days flowering time so I still have plenty of time to see those buds fattening up.
2-Added 75W full spectrum LED to increase quality of pictures. In my opinion, totally worth it. Got to see my plant from a different light was amazing. Everything is looking good and the soil is still slightly moist. Probably water tomorrow. Separated all the branches to allow more light to penetrate the middle of the plant.
3-Soil completely dry, water plant with flowering nutrients. The smell seems to be a little stronger today.
4,5,6-No major changes.
1- Had a lost of power in the area. Hopefully the 1.5hrs of light interruption will not turn the plant into a hermie.
Hope for the best and see what happens. Tent at 26 degrees and RH at 42 today
2- Water plant with flowering nutrient today. Buds are starting to gain some thickness.
Tent at 24 degrees and RH at 41.1%
3- Everything is looking good.
Tent at 25 degrees and RH 42%
4- Temperature a little high today at 28 degrees and RH 46%.
5- Temperature reached up to 30° and RH at 43%
6- 23°C and RH 48%. Watered, clean, half the usual amount as I will be away for the weekend and would like to give full watering before leaving so she doesn’t dry up.
7-
1- getting nice and thick with a stronger smell. Watered with flowering chemicals. Tent at 24.6°C and RH at 47% today
Away for the weekend. Can’t wait to see how she will look when I get back
5- Came back to fairly dry soil and somehow forgot to turn my dehumidifier back on after emptying it. So the RH was at 77% when I got back. I got everything back within the range I want it now. 24.5°C and 46% RH.
Watered plant with flowering nutrients.
7- Just amazed by how fast it grows. Seems like every time I look at it, it keeps getting thicker. I have some sort of fascination with the main cola. Just love taking pictures of it. I ordered a USB microscope that I should be getting today. Looking forward to see those trichomes magnified.
1- Everything looks good still, watered it with flowering nutrient for what may be the last time. I reduced nutrient a little but nothing drastic. Tent at 26°C and HR at 48% today.
I untied the branches at the bottom hoping they’ll straighten up towards the light and give those bud sites more light.
2- Decided to do a light trimming but got carried away with them scissors. Turn into pretty much removing all the fan leaves. Good thing she’s almost done. Tent 20.5°C and 43% RH
6- Been away for the last 4 days and she is looking pretty good. Buds are still fattening up. Watered with half nutrients as she seems to have some slight burn marks at the tip of the leaves. Tent 22°C and RH 41%
Straight water with no nutrients this week. Couple more days and I will be cutting her down. This has been a great experience.
Ended up leaving it alone instead of harvesting as I originally planned
Enjoyed this plant as my first grow. It was really easy to grow and turned out very well. Better than I was expected. Strongly recommend for any beginners out there. It recovered very well and very fast to any stress I may have put it through.
I am so glad to have found this site where it was easy to keep tabs on the performance of my growth. I really enjoyed the availability to connect with a few people and ask some questions when I wasn’t too sure about my own thought process. This community is 100% what any beginning growers and I’m sure experienced ones needs. Like minded people who have a common interest.
