Week 10
16/9/20: Day 63/7
Dropped a Northern Lights Auto by Seedsman in water. It will go under 12/12 lighting, as there is already a photoperiod in that tent flowering out right now. White Widow should be finished in about 2 more weeks. Once it's cut down, I will drop another seed to get a perpetual grow finally started. Tomorrow I will start a new watering regime, as I've been doing it willy-nilly this whole time. The schedule will consist of:
D1-Feed
D2-Nothing
D3-Feed
D4-Nothing
D5-Water
D6-Nothing
D7-Nothing
17/9/20:
Freedom Kush, as I now call her, is finally sprouting a tail. I will leave it in the paper towel for another day or so, to see if it gets any longer. This one will be grown entirely in a 1.5 gallon pot. I will drill holes on the outside, to make a modified air pot like the Power Africa. This will also be my first Photoperiod grown under 12/12 lighting. It is a homemade cross of Freedom Dream and Purple Kush. It might be a fast variety, or it might not, as the father was an autoflower.
Northern Lights was floating this morning, and not cracked. Checked on it again this afternoon, and it had sunk to the bottom, with a cracked shell. Moved it into paper towel. Once planted, it will be grown under a 12/12 light schedule from seed. NL will also be grown in a 1.5 gallon bucket, modified to be like an air pot. White Widow is starting to fill out more, and having more pistils die back. Still a full two weeks or more to go, so I'm not rushing it. Sweet Cheese is reacting well to the flip in light cycle. Producing pistils all over the place. While it is stretching, it doesn't seem to be that much. Still another week or so of stretching left, so I will keep it closely monitored.
18/9/20:
Everyone is looking good. White Widow is still plumping nicely, the next few days I will see the difference that the Bloom Boost and Final Drive do for the bud development. Sweet Cheese is still transitioning into flower quite nicely. Still has a lot to stretch out, but it should produce well.
19/9/20:
White Widow is still going strong. Pistils are starting to die back at a faster rate. Sweet Cheese is slowly starting to bud. Sadly it has caused me to drop out of The Sweet Seeds Cup. Since it turned out to be a photoperiod and not an autoflower, I won't be finished in time to be legal. It really sucks, as I only planted it to be in the contest, I was really wanting to go with another strain instead. Soil on both is still far too moist to be rewatered. I will need to rework the amount of water for the smaller pots. 3 gallon pots need much more, while the 1.5 + 1.75 gallon pots need very little. 2L for the big pots, 1L for the small ones, that way I can stay on schedule. Solo cup is not included in feeding schedule.
21/9/20:
Plants were dry enough to be watered yesterday, but I held off until today to be watered with everyone else.
White Widow is looking, and smelling amazing. The Bloom Boost and Final Drive are really pushing the terpene development. The last one I grew, smelled nowhere nearly as strong as this beauty. Stem is very flexible, as the lack of air movement did not strengthen the stem at all. Thankfully it grew straight, and isn't causing the main stem to bend from the weight of the top cola. Looking like it will be flowering into the first week of October.
Sweet Cheese is still doing good. Buds are slowly developing, bud they are there.
I decided against this tent being a perpetual autoflower grow tent. Instead, I'm going to cut back on plants, and just grow one massive beast. Trying for that elusive 1 pound per plant from a CMH. I will use both tents to keep this as a perpetual photoperiod grow.
The plan is to grow one photoperiod, and two autoflowers in the second tent. After two months of vegetation, or both autos are harvested, the photoperiod plant should be ready to go into the other tent to be flowered out. If not, start more autos while the photoperiod fills out more. I might need to go 10-12 weeks of vegetation before it's fully ready to go into flower. Top once, then FIM and train.
Still unsure of what I will plant first, but I'm leaning towards Larry Lemon OG. Either that, or Bruce Banger.
Daaang that is one super long main cola!!! I had to go back and make sure it wasn't a crazy foxtail.. Ive never seen a main cola that long by itself like that.. I see the branches toward the bottom.. But daaamn look at that thing! Its gonna be like a 1/3 of a meter long! Niceeeee!
