Im doing a cup grow too. Ive done lots!.. Ive used the clear cups also.. People hate on them so much. I just make sure I use a second cup (spray painted black) to block the light out.. Ive used a white cup and it still let too much light get to the root system.and algae grew like crazy..

@Professor_Chaos, I use a clear solo with a couple red solos under to block the light. Works great!
