The Blue Velvet from Seedsman. A slight defect on a fan leaf but growing at a great rate with no deficiencies. No training is gonna be done cause I'm gonna clone and create seeds from this strain. Branching is compact and node spacing is the same.
Week 6 of the velvet bud. This plant is starting to really show its indica side. Short in stature and very bushy with wide leaves that overlap. Soil is a slower growth rate but this plant is gonna be a mother to clone from and produce seeds. No signs of nutrient deficiencies I feed every 2 waterings as for now it's only a cup or 2 of water with superthrive and a bit of floranova grow. I also topped the plant so it may use its energy to produce side branching for cloning.
Starting week 7. Topped plant last week, double shoots on top growing fast as the plant is really widening up the side branching. As for now I'm not giving her any nutrients cause I will be cutting clones and sending her off to flower in the next week or 2. No deficiencies on any of the leaves. Also I'd like to note the fan leaves on this strain are very wide so be mindful when growing in limited space.
The velvet bud is still taking on size with regular nutrient feedings every other watering. I'm waiting for some side branching to get bigger before I take some clones and send her off to flower.
The velvet bud is in its first week of flower. I did some light defoliation to open up the center and prevent the plant from being to compact with leaves blocking precious bud sites. No pistil formations starting yet so until then it's just watering when dry. No signs of deficiencies on the plant. This is the first time growing this strain so I'm not sure how its characteristics are. Week 2 may bring a whole new plant to see.
The velvet bud is off to a very nice start with some bud sights forming. Definitely a slower growing plant with its indica genetics. Some light defoliation was performed to open her up more. There's no signs of deficiencies and the plant isnt requiring much water or maintenance yet.
The velvet bud is starting to really get its name. Its leaves are very thick with a velvet feel to them. The plant is is now focusing on the bud sites at a slower pace then my other plants. No signs of deficiencies and is not taking much water at this time.
