This journey started in May. This diary started in August. The first 12 weeks are retrospective and I’ll do my best to find photos from every week but I doubt they are there. It’s been a banner summer and I think I am making this plant show it’s true genetic potential.
The first round of topping probably happened on 6/5. Unfortunately I don’t have any photos from here until mid July when the “mainlefold” was finished. In that time I harvested my indoor plants and the outdoor autos started flowering so I guess I just wasn’t too interested in the vegging cake
Final home under a 5x5 trellis net. I used the poles from my 2x4x5 grow tent. 8/02 is considered the switch to flower in VT so the next few weeks should be exciting!!!
First white hairs!!! Everything looks great. She’s drinking tons of water. Still going light on the mega crop. I’ve done some very light defoliation, just leaves that touch each other. Expecting a big stretch this week.
Rough weekend in VT. Four consecutive mornings with frost to end Summer. Covered the wedding cake every night. Lost several fan leaves. Very interesting because it’s a few on each arm. All white pistils on tops have turned and curled. All in all it’s not so bad. Trimmed off the lifeless leaves and hope for another little burst of flowering if it’s not too FUBAR.
Well I think today is the day. The frost from last week has resulted in lots of lost leaves, the aphids are back, I found some bud rot on a couple spots, and there is four days of rain in the forecast. But hey, Barney’s said this was an end of September plant and I really don’t think the buds are going to do much more. I might leave a few of the inner arms to see what happens but I doubt it.
Growing outdoors in VT is challenging and that’s maybe being too kind. Four consecutive days of frost in mid September basically brought bud development to a halt. I harvested at least a week earlier than I would have liked because I started finding grey moldy buds and the weather forecast was basically bullshit. Otherwise it’s some really sticky stuff.
