Topped this week

Both are a showing good vigour, I like the spacing better on CG2. I’m not sure they liked the early defoliation.

Defoliated, hard, and top dressed the girls with LIving Soils Organic worm castings. So far this has been the least stressful grow to date and that is a direct result of using dry organic amendments.

Transplanted up into 3gal (final pot) Soil is preamendmened grow and frass soil was allowed a 2 week “cook” time.

The girls are showing signs they’re reaching out into the new fabric pots.

Really excited to flip these girls into flower and see what these amendments can really do. Top dressed with 1tsp per gal Bloom.

Top dressed with 1tbsp per gal. Super healthy and vigorous the bud sites are stacking up tight. #2 has the whitest pistols I have every seen.

Topped dressed with Malted Barley, everything looks green and beautiful. The buds are starting to swell and get frosty.

Final top dressing 2 tbs bloom 1 tbd bloom 2. Light defoliation. Just enjoying watching these girls grow.

Still I water... Enjoying watching these girls finish. Getting some purple, but generally very green. I can’t place the smell I think it’s keeps changing.

This was my first fully organic, dry amendments via top dress only, shout out Living Soils Fertiliser (https://livingsoilsfertiliser.com/) and being available. I was intimidated and sceptical, it looked like a lot of work. Amendments and teas and cooking soil. I was so wrong! This was the most laid back grow I have ever had, hands down no contest. It gave me more time to focus on the plant. What I did was mix my soil 2 weeks before planting, I planted directly into the soil and watered with dechlorinated tap, recharge once a week and top dress with 2tbs per gallon medium every 2 week (3 weeks following transplant) during the appropriate cycle:Grow, worm castings, Bloom, Boom1/2 (week 5 of flower) with the addition of a Malt barley ground fresh to order from Living Soils Fertiser. Great customer service quick reply and you can even call them on the phone, great source of knowledge about the ingredients and sources. What I learned: Feeding the soil allows the soil to feed the plant. In short. Your Media is a battery charged with nutrition, top dress fertilising refills the batterie. Microbes aid and facilitate the process. THE PLANT decides what she eats and how much. THE MICROBES are the workers bringing her the food in exchange for sugars. No need to flush as every water in a way is flushing, as Mother Nature intended. Best part, you can reamend your soil following harvest which I’ve done. Feeling pretty fucking smug about reducing my carbon footprint and having a better soil. 💚, PotCasso
