Getting bigger! All quite droopy at this point, even in the light. Think the drainage was insufficient! Transplanted the peyote cookies and a clump of roots basically fell off... root rot?
Making progress now.
Huge improvement this week.. looking healthier than ever! Watering every other day at this point... feeding every other water.
Going to top them in a day or two... next week should hopefully show some good results in that department!
They were all starting to droop about 3 days ago. But I transplanted them into 4 gallon bags yesterday and saturated the medium. They've all since perked up! They look to have made some decent gains in the last 36 hours too! The growing medium sunk down a lot further than i thought it would, so i think i'll top it up sometime in the near future - I've also removed the yellowing first true leaves from each plant. But there was no space at all between that and the 2nd node, so i can't really fill unless that grows up. Thinking about moving the light away to encourage stretching?
Getting a really citrus-like smell from the critical mass. The other two have a faint smell.
Side note - It looks like after topping, I have 4 tops on the Critical Mass and Peyote Cookies, but i FIMed the Blue Shark by accident, I think that has 6. I'm excited to see how much they change over the next week or so after this transplant.
So the Critical Mass decided to Auto flower on me halfway through this last week! I'm going to be keeping it on 18/6 as i'm not ready to flower the other two yet. Hoping this won't be too detrimental to the flowering process? Started to add some Bio-Bloom to the Critical Mass feedings today. I've removed some of the leaves near the bottom of each plant; the first leaves, and some that get very little light.
I've also tried some LST to get 4 tops on the Blue Shark, and two on the Cookies & Critical Mass out into the light and away from the bushes. Fingers crossed for the next week!
The CBD Critical Mass is doing great... shes packing a noticeable amount of bud on every day. The smell is beautiful. Such a sweet citrusy smell, with a hint of spice. It's strong now; I know the carbon filter works!
The other two seem to be doing great. I switched to 12/12 3 days ago and they're both starting to flower now. The Peyote Cookies got a little too tall, so i tied the main tops down to bring the height down, exposing the smaller bud sites underneath the canopy leaves directly to the light. Might do this to the Blue Shark too, it seems to be stretching a little.
The Blue Shark is the bushiest of the lot. I have great faith in this plant, it has remained strong through thick and thin. The only thing is that the top leaves are very light green as you can see, maybe almost yellowing. I gave them a feed and moved the light up to about 21 inches away since they'd grown so much closer... I'm wondering if they are being bleached, or they're being deprived of a particular nutrient? I fed a full dose of Fish Mix and Bio Grow after the last flush to make sure that they have enough N, also a bit of Bloom and Top Max as they'd just been switched to 12/12. Seemed to help a little, but i'm hoping that with the light being further away, it will remedy this issue... Or I'm gonna be stumped.
Critical Mass has barely changed in height, though the buds are coming along very nicely... Looking at how the other two are though, and looking back it seems like it started flowering mid week 3... so that's almost 4 weeks so far. Some pistils are starting to go orange, not sure how much longer this plant may have left, since it hasn't behaved anything close to as advertised. Just checking the trichomes with a 30x lens to try and gauge it! Blue Shark and Peyote cookies have both shot up, i tied them down and they've reached 17 inches again already. Very bushy though, and there are many more bud sites exposed to the light now. Managed to cure the yellow top leaves with a dose of Epsom salts, a very dilute misting and a tea spoon per 9L added to their last feed. The outer leaves on the critical mass are going yellow, not patchy but sort of a gradual spread which seems to follow no obvious pattern... Any help on this would be appreciated. Smell is wonderful though, again, strong sweet and citrusy.
Can't wait to try this!
Day 5 01.04 update: Peyote cookies really stretching now, Blue Shark trying to keep up and they've dwarfed the Critical Mass now.
I recognized that they were going hungry and fed the 12ml/l mix that I've put on this week's diary two waterings in a row, the two which have just gone into flower seem to have reacted well though the critical mass is still very yellow. There's pictures of the trichomes above, i'd appreciate anyone's opinion on when i should start flushing this... there are numerous visible amber trichomes but i'm sure most of the rest are clear.
Gonna add some calmag to the next feed too.
The Peyote Cookies and CBD Blue Shark continue to grow rapidly... clearly visible flowers and bud development on both. No issues with these plants!
